Congratulations. We're you able to track your application correctly? I applied May 11th for an exam mid- August and the vfs tracking is still saying under assessment. Is there any way to hasten the turn around time? tolops1: |

I am just 5 montjs postpartum and pregnant again. The FP method obbiously didn't work for me. I took the 1st dose mid may and the 2nd in July but then i am just pissed. It wasn't part of the plan. |

Anitaamich:Sorry dear. I kmow how it feels. Please let your doctor know so it can be checked and medical solutions profered. Meanwhile, you need to actively check your diet. Take lots of water, vegetables and foods that will soften you poop. Iru worked wonders for me - I used to make it with spinach and eat daily. Hope this helps. |

Jessie21:Please mami continue with the penicillin. As for the rashes i dont think it will clear it because the penicillin is applied around the cut and on the surrounding areas. But you get mind oh - engine oil!! Please learn to be firm on certain things because you'll bear the consequences at the end of rhe day. 2 Likes |

StrongWoman333:I don't believe that it changes the childs complexion. I use it - chicco products- and my baby is still fair. Children will have some skin changes after birth like comolexion and skin peeling off with no rashes or redness. Please moosturize the child after bath. 2 Likes |

rosekatiej:Congratulations mami on your miracle baby. I am glad you had help from the woman in the ward. Sorry about the inability to control stool. Please observe it closely. If it continues dont wait too long before you see a gynaecologist because if the tear was up to the anus, it may have affected the control valve and that is why you cant control the faeces and sitz bath doesn't help it. I am saying yhis because pile doesnt prevent you from controlling faeces. It is well my dear. 5 Likes |

Birth story. Long post alert. I know this is coming a little late but I had to share to encourage someone who may be reading this. This pregnancy wasn't a walk in the park as some people experience. I had hyperemesis gravidarum in the 1st trimester and had a strange symptom of passing out - there were several occasions when I was driving and I blacked out - I had to stop doing some activities and it was really frustrating. Funny as it seemed all the female figures in my life had no such experience and I was left to handle this on my own with the frequent hospital visits/ admissions. I hoped 2nd trimester was going to be as everyone described (symptom free + the glow) but I didn’t have any of that. I was saddled with the weird taste, food aversions, all day sickness, puking like no tomorrow and a constant smell of poop. It seemed this was not enough as I lost my job during the same period. I was glad to come across this site during the period and I was really inspired by the experiences shared by other sabi mamas. 3rd trimester welcomed me with constant Braxton hicks and by 38 weeks I was having painful contractions that were not constant but not increasing in frequency. The Easter weekend was full of activities with every single member of the family + backup plan + neighbours travelling. On 3rd April I called dh to come home cos I felt the baby was coming soon. We went for a stroll that evening and returned home. By 3am I was just restless, couldn’t get much sleep and checked up contraction timers to download and monitor the contractions. I kept at this and by 7am I told dh that I thought I was in labour and he laughed saying he was told that women go gaga when in labour. I just ignored him because I was getting irritable. I kept strolling and doing squats in the house while my dh started panicking, calling his mum, my mum saying that I wanted home delivery and didn’t want to go to the hospital. By 10:30 am when the contractions were 5 mins apart and bearable like menstrual cramps, I went to take a shower and prepare while telling myself that I could do it - I was sort of scared - FTM things. We got to the hospital around 11:15am and we went straight to the maternity where I was checked and the matron said 4cm 80% effaced and did membrane sweep. At this point I got pissed with my dh and started telling him that he must be there throughout since he decided we must come early to the hospital. I kept strolling and doing squats while bearing the pains. By 2:30pm my water broke and I called the matron as the pains took a while new twist - she checked and a was 6cm. One small ogbanje came and said I should just lie down since I will be there for at least 4 to 5 hours and I laugh and said I will have this baby before 4 pm. Like play, like play by 3pm they came for hand over and the dogon turanci was on when one experienced matron decided to check when I said I felt the urge to poop. She did lo and behold she said I was fully dilated and the head was already coming out and dh insisted on being there to capture the newbie when he came. I was told to push and on the second push my ds came out wailing at 3:28pm while dh was transfixed to his position with the matron telling him oga selfie, take selfie na abi you shock. I couldn’t help but laugh. I'm glad it ended in praise. Thank you to everyone who takes out time to share their experiences with others, you are indeed fabulous. #teamapril @PatKing and other April mamas. Wishing everyone safe delivery and a smooth journey. 45 Likes |
