Education / Why People Fails To Manage Time by Spritersz: 1:07am On Nov 29, 2019 |
WHY PEOPLE FAILS TO MANAGE TIME Time is a system that has set the world in an orderly manner therefore should never be tempted by anything. In this world people live at the moment, so it is better to make every step to count because, what determines success is the end of the journey, the procedures is also important as well. BECOME CONSCIOUS OF EVERYTHING AROUND YOU. The very first thing to do when it comes to managing your time is to become conscious of everything around you. Now, being conscious of the things that steals away your time without you knowing it, or knowing it, but helpless and weak to protect yourself from it. like the figure below. It is not enough, being conscious of time and the environment, you need to do more like, planning and organizing yourself very well. Lack of Planning: Planning has to do with constructing your life, arranging the calendar in order to suit you the best. Don’t allow daily activity to set their pace on your life, you have to set the pace of the activities and how it will suit you the instead. So planning yourself through the day or for like one week can help you manage your time very well and get fewer surprises than usual. As a student, planning reduces the tendency to appear unprepared over over everything. Lack of Pressure: pressure is like a will force that breaks your limits and create an opening in order to manifest your true strength. Goals gives you pressure, without goals in your mind you will be relented to do something. Lack of specific Goals: When you are setting a goal, set a specific goal in mind, whether you are a manager in a company or a student when you are specific on what you want you will utilize your time and reduce side attraction and distractions Lack of setting achievable / realistic goals: Setting achievable / realistic goals makes you to stay on the track without losing focus, so, when you plan, plan with achievable goals in mind so will not spare any minute of your time thinking. This also entails that if you put your necessary strength and strategy it will yield you good result. Lack of time consciousness on the goal you want: There must be time attached to the goals you want to achieve. Time is enough pressure for you to know you limited and need to put in enough work for it to be achieved. Lack of reminder: Have a reminder and schedule the things you have planned out for yourself. To meet up schedule it is good to have something at the back of our mind. To have something at the back of ones mind is like seeing the outcome already. Sometimes we know what to do but want something to bug us so hard before we would want to do something. Cut loose: Reduce most of the activities that distracts you from the big picture. When it comes to social, use them when absolutely necessary and important to do so. If you could identify the important stuff then, you will know the ones to cut loose. Whether you like it or not there must be things that aren’t needed in your My only advice is that, people should be focused, this is because, life itself is a multi-task and that should be enough for any one, instead of adding more burden to yourself. Human brain might not be able to handle multiple which is why people becomes stressed and also forget a lot of things.. Therefore perform your tasks one at a time for conveniences and speed. Time is meant to be valued because you can rewind it in order to correct anything. To know more about time, learn more from quick time management 1 Like |

Education / The Impact Of Technology Adoption In E-commerce: A Case Of Jumia Nigeria by Spritersz: 12:52am On Nov 29, 2019 |
The advances made in the field of information and communication technology in the late twentieth century and early twenty- first century coupled with relatively higher incomes and drop in prices of consumer goods have fueled consumption globally and more importantly the rise of electronic shopping. Ekwueme and Akagwu (2017) asserted that e- commerce as a business phenomenon revolves mainly around the process of selling and purchasing products or services through the internet using social media sites, e- commerce portals and websites. Boyd and Ellison (2010) maintained that e-commerce signifies a new trend of trade emerging from the recognized and over- bearing usefulness of the internet as an information dissemination tool or platform. Globally, the increasing rate of internet access and usage even in the developing and under- developed countries combined with the systematic progress of information technology have served to transform the way goods are bought and sold. The result of this combination is a significant increase in the number of online shoppers. Thuyuyen et al (2014) noted that the widespread adoption of e- commerce as a favored medium of commercial retailing is premised on its characteristics of global reach, time independence, interactivity, low organizational set-up cost and easy access. These characteristics have also fueled the growth of e- commerce in Nigeria, with the sector valued at $13 billion as at 2018 and expected to reach around $64 billion by 2025 (Economic Intelligence, 2019). While the benefits of e- commerce have over the years become apparent, one of the constraints on the industry is the management of the huge customer base. A major characteristic of e- commerce is that the number of customers simultaneously transacting business with an e- commerce venture might reach or even exceed the million-mark. Managing such a huge customer base often require significant commitment of organizational resources and occasionally the customer satisfaction levels are low (Monsuwe, 2004; Chen et al, 2014; Xie et al, 2014). The need to present e- commerce as a more viable method of shopping to consumers as opposed to the traditional brick and mortar stores have therefore encouraged e-commerce firms to place emphasis on achieving high customer satisfaction levels. As Quelch and Jocz (2007) explained, the need to ensure high customer satisfaction levels is magnified by the advent of social media where customers can give feedback which impact significantly on performance. Education / EXPOSED: Shocking Exploitation Of Parents At Caleb British International School by Spritersz: 3:49am On Aug 31, 2019 |
There seem to be an increasing spate of exploitative tendencies by school proprietors in Nigeria, especially with the recent claims of exploitation against CALEB BRITISH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, LAGOS, who allegedly exploited and extorted outrageous sums of money from parents whose wards are students of the school on the pretext that their wards committed acts of wanton vandalism resulting in the destruction of school properties such as wardrobes, beds, doors in their hostel. The school authorities as claimed waited until the day of graduation party to serve such claims of vandalism to the parents without prior notification to the parents that their wards had committed the purported acts and without giving fair hearing to the accused students to prove their innocence or even produce tangible evidence to establish the student’s complicity in the act, instead they came up with outrageous bills which they asked the parents to pay immediately as renovation costs to enable their wards to graduate while they forced students to write implicating statement. However, one of the affected parents, Mrs Onwubiko whose son was affected lamented that the school has hotel care takers and has a tradition of checking out students from hotels on completion of their studies and that her son, Master Irukka Onwukbiko was checked out of the school hostel without any reports or claims of implication in any damage and wondered how few days later, she was now asked to pay for damages before he could graduate. According to her, since her son was not the only student affected, the parents of all the students involved in the said vandalism should be called for a meeting together with their children to determine who was responsible for the purported damage. While this was not done, she also wondered why an astronomical sum of N1,300,000 should be paid by the students for a mere renovation of a knocked, wardrobe and door, even if the damage was actually committed by their wards. on the pretext that their wards committed acts of wanton vandalism resulting in the destruction of school properties such as wardrobes, beds, doors in their hostel.
