Politics / Buhari Government Really Lacks Foresight For Good Governance (SEE REASONS) by spyx64(m): 9:14am On Jan 22, 2018
1. A Government that lacks foresight has grown the Foreign Reserves to $40.5 billion this January from $26 billion in 2015.

2. A Government that lacks foresight is diversifying the economy from 'Cliques' driven economy to 'peoples' driven economy.

3. A Government that lacks foresight is expanding the Agricultural Sector, because they wants it's citizens to 'eat what they grow and grow what they eat', and as a result will have no need to import essential foods like Rice, wheat, etc and eliminate dependance on foreign Countries.

4. A Government that lack foresight has started the abandoned Mambila Hydropower Project to boost electricity in 18 month's time.

5. A Government that lacks foresight has linked States not in the original plan to the Lagos - Kano fast train project, knowing fully well that those States will develop in the future and need it.

6. A Government that lacks focus has released bail out funds to States without been biased to political affiliations.

7. A Government that lacks focus have in one scoop employed teeming unemployed youths through N-Power programme

8. A Government that lacks foresight saw the need to implement 'TSA' and 'IPPS' to block leakages in the public sector

9. A Government without foresight inherited a liability through breach of signed '2009 FG/ASUU agreement' and settles it

10. A Government that lacks foresight is implementing so many initiatives towards revamping the economy.

Maybe the meaning of 'foresight' has changed to s smiley something else that one doesn't know again.

From all indications, PMB's adversaries have a different meaning of the word 'foresight'.

May Buhari Administration Succeed.

Politics / It Is Too Early To Blame President Muhammadu Buhari. For The Following Reasons by spyx64(m): 10:39pm On Dec 31, 2017
Talking about 16 years of PDP Vs only 2 year of APC.....

1. PDP met a bag of rice at less than N2500 in 1999, but left it at N11,000 in 2015 when they left power.

2. PDP met the Dollar at N20 when they came in 1999, but left it at N220 in 2015 when they were leaving.

3. PDP met petrol pump price at N11 when they came in 1999 but left it at N87 when they were leaving in 2015.

4. PDP met a bag of cement at less than N400 but left it at N2000 while they were leaving in 2015.

5. PDP met a tin of milk at N15 in 1999 but left it at N100 when they left in 2015.

6. PDP met only OPC in 1999 but left us with Niger Delta militancy, Avengers, MASSOB, IPOB, BAKKASI and Boko Haram as at when they left in 2015.

7. PDP was ushered in with a free and fair election in 1999 by the military but they left us with ballot box snatching, rice sharing for campaigns, do-or- die politics, political assassinations, etc...

8. Hmmm even Life expectancy for Nigerians was 59 years when PDP came in 1999 but PDP left it at 42years... All these outlined problems are the legacy of the PDP led government.

The ppl and party that brought Nigeria and Nigerians to her knees are again offering Nigeria advice on governance, can someone tell them to please let us give this administration its four years, before judgement.

What they couldn't do in 16yrs, they demand this administration to deliver in one year. Are these people serious?

May God help Buhari bring back our lost Glory. Even as I buy a litre of petroleum at N145 or more, I will continue to endure.

Even as power generation drops, I will continue to believe that things will get better.

Even as the exchange rate remains high, I will continue to have faith in God believing that one day it shall be better.

Even as salary is not paid as at when due, I shall continue to believe that this condition is not forever.

Even as the prices of food items and other commodities have gone high, I will continue to have faith and confidence that one day it shall become history.

I campaigned for CHANGE. I voted for CHANGE. I believe in CHANGE. I so much believe that one day I will be counting the much benefits of CHANGE.

As at the time of this report the suspect has entered the dock to take her plea and pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of homicide.

The defense counsel, Hussein Musa asked the court to let the defendant be in the police custody arguing that she is still a nursing mother and would be improper to be remanded in prison custody.

The presiding judge, Yusuf Halilu ruled that suspects be remanded in Suleja prison and the matter has been adjourned to December 7th for further hearing.

Crime / Husband Killer Maryam Sanda The Remake Of A 1979 Classic Murder Case In 2017... by spyx64(m): 11:54am On Nov 24, 2017
Maryam Sanda & Re-enactment of Nafiu Isyaku Rabiu Case... by Jaafar Jaafar
November 22, 2017

On Wednesday May 9, 1979, Nafiu Isyaku Rabiu and his beautiful wife Fatima hosted his three friends to a dinner in the verdant garden of his Dawaki Road, Kano residence. After the sumptuous feast, toasts and clinking glasses, the friends left the “happy” couple “quite alright” at around 11pm.
The following day, Kano awoke to the most celebrated murder case in history. The story was that Nafiu Rabiu, the prima donna of Kano socialites and oldest son of a rich Kano cleric, Sheikh Isyaku Rabiu, had murdered his wife, Fatima. Nafiu Rabiu was in those days notorious for alleged methomania, reckless driving, vanity and hedonistic lifestyle.

In the public court, Nafiu Rabiu was pronounced guilty of killing his wife by pushing her down stairs. According to some accounts, the then governor of Kano State, Muhammadu Abubakar Rimi, took a vow to send Nafiu Rabiu to the gallows, just as Fatima’s millionaire dad, Tijjani Aliyu Dagazau, undertook to ensure justice for her at all costs.

But to the chagrin of the state, the family of the deceased and the people of Kano who trooped to “Kotun Nafiu” on Court Road, Kano to witness the proceedings, the Supreme Court on November 21, 1980 (exactly 37 years ago yesterday) dismissed the appeal of Kano State government.

In their testimonies, Nafiu Rabiu’s cook and driver gave the account of what transpired in the house on May 10, 1979. The cook said he came to the house in the morning and strangely found the door locked, and when he asked his colleague (the driver), who normally kept the keys to the main building, for the key, he told him was not given the key.

After waiting for a couple of hours, Nafiu Rabiu opened the window and threw the keys to the driver. At 10am, Nafiu Rabiu re-appeared and asked his cook to open the kitchen door as he had misplaced the keys to the front door. Nafiu later came out holding “soiled blankets and clothes” and asked his driver to put them into the boot of his Peugeot 504. Nafiu then asked the driver to pick his mother in-law in his other car, a Mercedes-Benz saloon, from Kano airport. According to Nafiu’s account, the mother-in-law was due to arrive from Niamey that day.

Nafiu later drove out in his Peugeot 504 and instructed his cook to serve his wife (who according to Nafiu Rabiu’s account was asleep when he left the house) when she woke up. For the first time, Nafiu left the keys to the door leading from the kitchen to the lounge and other parts of the main house with the cook.

Later in the noon, their children (who apparently slept the previous night elsewhere) were driven to the house. With the keys left, the cook opened the inner lounge leading the room to the children. They found their mother dead.

Those who saw Fatima’s body suspected foul play after noticing injuries and signs of strangulation. The state took up the matter, hiring top pathologists to conduct autopsy on her body. The team of the four pathologists who conducted the post-mortem examination was led by Dr. Bansi Badan Tribedi, a senior Consultant Pathologist working as pathologist since 1948 in Calcutta, United Kingdom and Ghana for 14years, and in Nigeria for seven years.

But despite state resources, public interest, the influence of Fatima’s father, the prosecution failed to establish beyond reasonable doubt that Fatima had died as a result of strangulation that led to asphyxia.

Similar cases abound where powerful families escaped the hangman’s noose for their ability to pay for expensive legal services. A story was also told of how late maverick billionaire, Deinde Fernendez, footed the legal bill of his sister-in-law, Maryam Maude, who was tried and later acquitted of murder of her boyfriend about 10 years ago. The case of Mohammed Knight, Deji Adeyanju, Kabiru Ali Maitangaran and Musa Musa Daura who were tried and acquitted for killing one Alhasan Ali at No. 73, Church Road, Sabongari Kano in 2005, is still fresh in our mind.

With the exception of Salisu Babuga’s case (I think in 1987), who was hanged decades after killing his friend, Mamuda, most cases involving the rich families go unpunished or get lighter sentences. But a “two-fighting” between ordinary Nigerians who cannot afford legal service may lead to jail term. In Nigeria, what is clearly a coroner’s case, is left for the family of the victim to “support”. This is how our country is.

Maryam Sanda’s case has proved that domestic violence is not male exclusive act. With a few exceptions (such as Nafiu Rabiu’s case), male partners are always at the receiving end of fatal domestic abuse. Of course male at times display their dexterity in kickboxing on their wives, but cases of stabbing and poisoning of husbands are prominent among women.

I am also one of those who want Maryam Sanda to die by firing squad for the brutal killing of her husband, Bilyamin Bello last weekend. But the fact of the matter is that the law is an ass. The way Maryam Sanda rigged up the scene of the murder by breaking a bottle of Shisha tells every discerning mind that they were prepared for a legal showdown.

Unlike in the case Nafiu Rabiu’s wife where experienced pathologists were immediately engaged for autopsy, in Bilyamin’s case, I learn on good authority that no autopsy was carried out. This is no good tidings.

May Bilyamin get justice not “law” as American novelist, William Gaddis, averred: “You get justice in the next world. In this one you have the law.”

Foreign Affairs / FBI Uncovers Al-qaeda Plot To Just Sit Back And Enjoy Collapse Of United States by spyx64(m): 2:04pm On Jan 31, 2017
[img][/img]WASHINGTON—Putting the nation on alert against what it has described as a “highly credible terrorist threat,” the FBI announced today that it has uncovered a plot by members of al-Qaeda to sit back and enjoy themselves while the United States collapses of its own accord.

Multiple intelligence agencies confirmed that the militant Islamist organization and its numerous affiliates intend to carry out a massive, coordinated plan to stand aside and watch America’s increasingly rapid decline, with terrorist operatives across the globe reportedly mobilizing to take it easy, relax, and savor the spectacle as it unfolds.

“We have intercepted electronic communication indicating that al-Qaeda members are actively plotting to stay out of the way while America as we know it gradually crumbles under the weight of its own self-inflicted debt and disrepair,” FBI Deputy Director Mark F. Giuliano told the assembled press corps. “If this plan succeeds, it will leave behind a nation with a completely dysfunctional economy, collapsing infrastructure, and a catastrophic health crisis afflicting millions across the nation. We want to emphasize that this danger is very real.”

“And unfortunately, based on information we have from intelligence assets on the ground, this plot is already well under way,” he added.

A recently declassified CIA report confirmed that all known al-Qaeda-affiliated organizations—from Pakistan to Yemen, and from Somalia to Algeria—have been instructed to kick back and enjoy the show as the United States’ federal government, energy grid, and industrial sector are rendered impotent by internal dissent, decay, and mismanagement. According to statements made by top-level informants and corroborated by leading Western terrorism experts, if seen through to its conclusion, al-Qaeda’s current plot could wreak far more damage than the events of 9/11.

In the past year, money transfers to al-Qaeda cells around the world have reportedly been accompanied by instructions to use the funds to outfit safe houses with the proper equipment to receive American cable news broadcasts and view top U.S. news websites, allowing terrorists to fully relish each detail of the impending demise of the last global superpower.

Additionally, FBI officials made public an internal al-Qaeda video today in which the terrorist organization’s leader Ayman al-Zawahiri chillingly exhorts his followers to “take a load off” and “unwind” in the name of jihad, and really cherish the victory over their enemy.

“Praise Allah, for soon every American city shall be plagued with disaster and hardship,” al-Zawahiri said in the video, which includes several minutes of footage of young, masked al-Qaeda militants casually sipping beverages as they thumb through the latest issues of Time and U.S. News And World Report. “The infidels have brought this pain and destruction upon themselves through their arrogance and callousness. Soon, the United States will watch in horror as its bridges crumble, its desperate citizens suffer in want of medicine and paying employment, and its once vast riches are reduced to naught. The righteous warriors among our ranks must now unite, get comfortable, and look on from afar at the calamity unfolding in the West.”

“We vow that we will not cease sitting around and laughing it up until America is reduced to rubble,” he continued.

Al-Zawahiri, who is seen in the video reclining back in his chair, putting his feet up, and flipping on CNN, later shouts “Allahu Akbar!” when a story is aired about the decade-long trend of stagnant wages among American workers.

The FBI has also warned that numerous al-Qaeda agents may have established sleeper cells for the purpose of “getting a kick out of” the nation’s downfall on American soil. The bureau urged U.S. residents to use caution around schools, hospitals, legislative bodies, prisons, and other decaying institutions whose imminent failure terrorists may wish to observe up close.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, one high-ranking U.S. counterterrorism official has described the present situation as a massive failure of intelligence.

“The warning signs were there all along, but unfortunately we failed to heed them,” said the official, who advised Americans to brace for widespread devastation. “If we’d listened to experts or even our own common sense, we would’ve realized that this plot was being actively orchestrated within our own borders. But we didn’t, and now every one of our citizens and our very way of life is at risk from this threat.”

“Sadly, al-Qaeda has us right where they want us,” the official added, “and at this point, I fear it is too late to do anything about it.”

Responding to the allegations, a spokesperson for al-Qaeda reportedly confirmed the terror group’s plot and praised the American people as martyrs of the highest order. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Enjoy the laughter and share Jare grin grin grin

Business / Nigeria 13th Lowest Gasoline (petrol) Prices Per Liter Around The World by spyx64(m): 4:09pm On Jan 17, 2017
Gasoline prices liter

Gasoline prices, 16-Jan-2017: The average price of gasoline around the world is 320.04 Nigerian Naira per liter. However, there is substantial difference in these prices among countries. As a general rule, richer countries have higher prices while poorer countries and the countries that produce and export oil have significantly lower prices. One notable exception is the U.S. which is an economically advanced country but has low gas prices. The differences in prices across countries are due to the various taxes and subsidies for gasoline.

All countries have access to the same petroleum prices of international markets but then decide to impose different taxes. As a result, the retail price of gasoline is different.

Politics / Fresh $40M Found In Bank Accounts Linked To Former Nigerian First Lady Patience by spyx64(m): 10:25am On Oct 04, 2016
officials of Skye Bank Plc have informed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of newly discovered accounts owned by Mrs. Patience Jonathan, wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan. The accounts are said to have an aggregate balance of $40million.

Last month, the EFCC froze Mrs. Jonathan's $30.1million in various accounts domiciled in the same bank. Sources at the bank told SaharaReporters that the latest discoveries were brought to EFCC's attention by Skye Bank officials angered by the limp explanations on how she came about such a huge sum in the multiple domiciliary accounts earlier frozen by the EFCC.

The newly discovered accounts were said to have been opened by Mrs. Jonathan, using fake names, and abetted by crooked bank officials.

The EFCC, SaharaReporters learnt, has obtained a court order to freeze the accounts. Since the discovery of the bank accounts, Mrs. Jonathan has taken desperate measures to retrieve the illegal loot from EFCC's grip, with the most recent being the hiring a lawyer, Barrister Osuagwu Ugochukwu, to write to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) requesting it to confirm if Mrs. Jonathan and her husband declared the monies after leaving the Presidency in 2015.

Osuagwu had employed the same trick in the case of the Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, whom the CCB said declared the $1.5million properties acquired in Dubai, apparently using Nigerian Army funds.

However, a letter recently obtained by SaharaReporters shows that the CCB never screened General Buratai.

Politics / Breaking: Buhari Relaunches War Against Indiscipline Brigade by spyx64(m): 10:46am On Aug 09, 2016
The President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government, on Monday, relaunched the War Against Indiscipline, WAI Brigade, in Abuja, saying in this era of insecurity, violence, kidnapping, and other forms of social vices, the role of the Brigade in civil intelligence gathering cannot be over emphasized. President Muhammadu Buhari Announcing the development on the occasion of the National and State Commanders meeting of the Community Support Brigade, CSB, also known as WAI, the Director-General, National Orientation Agency, NOA, Dr. Garba Abari said the President Buhari administration has declared the intention to relaunch the Brigade for better performance, as well as to bring its activities to the fore. Speaking at the meeting, Abari said: “It’s great pleasure that I have the opportunity to meet with the leadership of WAI, for the first time since my assumption of office about two months ago. This meeting is meant to discuss the repositioning of the WAI Brigade in the current dispensation of change. “I’m not only delighted with this gathering, but excited with you all for keeping faith and working tirelessly to contribute your quota to nation building as volunteers who are not being paid for over 3 decades. So, I salute your patriotic efforts, indeed, Nigeria salutes your patriotism.” The NOA DG, stated that, “in this era of insecurity, violence, kidnapping and other forms of social vices, the role of the WAI Brigade in civil intelligence gathering cannot be over emphasized. It is in this regard that I call on you to encourage your members across the country to redouble their vigilance in the local governments, wards and their various villages, so that we can contribute our quota towards building a secure society.” Abari recalled that the WAI Brigade was a brain-child of President Buhari, who as Military Head of State in 1983 established the Brigade, to instill discipline among Nigerians, as well as fight endemic corruption. “The ills and woes that bedeviled the nation at that time are still very much with us today. That is why, when the National Orientation Agency, NOA, was established in 1983, the War Against Indiscipline, WAI Brigade was automatically drafted to be part and parcel of the Agency to fight against indiscipline, disorderly behaviour in public and private places, disobedience to traffic rules and regulations, disrespect for constituted authorities, filthy environment, bribery, corruption and other social vices,” he said. The NOA boss disclosed that “The present administration has declared its intention to re-launch the Brigade for better performance and bring its activities to the fore. You as ambassadors of the Agency, must, in your respective communities, local government areas, and states contribute your quota to make the change mantra of this administration a reality. Whenever and whereever you see something, you must say something to save our nation from decline.”

Politics / What I Did With Dasuki’s Money – Okupe Read More At: Http://www.vanguardngr.com by spyx64(m): 7:31am On Jul 18, 2016
By Henry Umoru ABUJA- FORMER Senior Special Assistant to the ex- president Goodluck Jonathan on public affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, Sunday explained why was paid various sums of money from the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) Okupe also took a swipe at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for leaking to the media his health status which he had revealed to the commission’s operative in confidence designed for it to understand his special needs. According to him, for not getting clearance or authorization from him before the information was revealed to the media, was not only a breach of confidence reposed on the anti- graft agency, but designed to embarrass him as a person. Doyin Okupe In a statement he signed yesterday and made available to Journalists, Okupe explained how he got various sums of money from the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) which has now become the subject of investigation by the EFCC. Denying being linked to any unwholesome benefits from the NSA, he said it became imperative to explain based on media reports that he was involved in N162million and N85million fraud, adding that in his interactions so far with the anti-graft agency, he had only been requested to make clarifications in three areas. Okupe who lambasted the EFCC said, “I confided in the officers of the commission about my health situation for them to understand why where and how I sleep was important to my overall well being. “Without clearance or authorization by me this information was revealed to the media. “I woke up to hear it on radio broadcast nationwide and was published in many newspapers. This is a sad development and a definite breach of the confidence I reposed on the commission as an institution of government. “I was born with sinus bradycadia, a non disease based slowness of the heart. It precluded me from vigorous exercise from childhood but I have by God’s Grace been able to live a normal and active life. “With age the slowness grew worse and life threatening. I sought medical help and went through a procedure at the Arrhythmia cardiac Research center in Atlanta, where this defect was corrected. Its just a year ago and I am still under satellite monitor from the USA. The statement said these include: “Why I received N50m from the office of the National Security Adviser at the onset of my appointment, and what I used the money for. “Why I was paid N10m monthly by the Office of the National Security Adviser. “Why I received another sum of N50m from the NSA in October 2014. “The initial N50m was approved by the President to be paid to me from His Security vote. N10m was to furnish my rented living apartment and another N10m for my office. The balance N30m was approved as take off grant for my office. “The N10m I received from the Office of the National Security Adviser monthly was to run my office, pay salaries of staff, including overheads, pay expenses for our numerous press conferences, pay for publications in newspapers, magazines, local and foreign, television programs, bulletins, and media consultants who assist and facilitate our work. “I had about 23 staff, 11 were graduates out of which 5 were Masters degrees holders. Details were submitted to EFCC. “The second N50m was approved again by Mr President when I reported to him that the monthly allowance has been cut from N10m to N5m and that I was no longer in a position to keep running a 1hr NTA network program called INSIGHT which was aired 9-10am every Friday and some other days of the week. “We paid NTA about N1.2m monthly for airtime. Two presenters were paid N600,000 monthly. We paid for tapes and Editing per program. “Besides we also pay honorarium for guests either directly or inform of hotel bills for those outside Abuja, or transportation. “This cost averagely N500,000 weekly or about N 2m monthly. All in all we spent about N4m monthly on the program. “Mr President promised to help with the expenses. About a few months later when we had incurred some debts, the NSA sent me a sum of N50m which was to cover the cost of the program for 12 months(12×N4m=N48m).” Okupe who wondered why payment made to his private company for handling a state government contract had been linked to his function as a presidential aide, said, “The Fact however is that my company Romix soilfix was one of the over 20 construction companies who were duly awarded contracts for rural roads some 5yrs ago by the Niger state govt. “Due to lack of funds, contractors were paid irregularly thus making the job to drag on for long. The job is still on going. The relationship of this to my service as Senior Special assistant to President is still not clear.” “This is what I revealed to the EFCC and they made it a public issue. “I have been in public service in more than 20years. Because of my pedigree, I have by deliberate policy avoided anything that will bring shame to me and my family. “In spite of my high level involvement in politics and government, I have never done directly or indirectly any federal government contracts. In the whole of this world, I have only two houses. One in Lagos and another in my home town. I have no house elsewhere including Abuja. “It is a pity that the situation in the country is so bad that everybody believes that there are no men with honour in politics or government. It is not true. I have submitted all my personal and company accounts to the EFCC. I have nothing to hide.”

Politics / Nigerian Army Captures Niger Delta Avengers’ Leader by spyx64(m): 8:08pm On May 15, 2016
Nigerian Army captures Niger Delta Avengers' leader
Nigerian Army captures Niger Delta Avengers' leader
POSTED BY: ADMIN MAY 15, 2016
Fierce looking members of the Nigerian Army invaded Oporoza, the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom again in wee hours of today (Sunday) in search of Niger Delta Avengers’ members.

After members of Niger Delta Avengers bombed another oil facility belonging to Chevron Nigeria Limited, President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the Nigerian Military to capture the culprits by all means. Following this order, the Military invaded Oporoza twice within one week.

An Army officer who spoke anonymously stated that “Members of Nigerian Army captured five members of Niger Delta Avengers, one of which is believed to be one of the leaders of the dreaded group. Following the bombing, we established a wide perimeter and initiated a high security search.

“The suspects were taken into the custody of the army in the area, but are yet to make statements or admit if they are members of the Niger Delta Avengers or otherwise. They have been relocated to the 19th Battalion, Nigerian Army, Koko, Warri North.”

Bloomberg reports that the recent wave of attacks by Militants have hit infrastructure, taking Nigeria’s output down to 20-year lows.

With no solution in sight to the problems that beset the delta’s creeks and mangrove swamps, production from onshore and shallow-water oil fields looks vulnerable. If the latest group of freedom fighters seeks to outdo its predecessors, then deep-water facilities may be at risk too.

The Niger Delta Avengers have certainly been busy, forcing Shell’s Forcados terminal to shut in about 250,000 barrels of daily exports; and breaching an offshore Chevron facility in the 160,000 barrels per day Escravos system. In April, ENI had to declare force majeure — letting it stop shipments without breaching contracts — on exports of its Brass River grade after a pipeline fire.

In its latest report, the IEA assessed the world’s need for OPEC crude this quarter at 31.9 million barrels a day, with Nigeria contributing 1.62 million to the group’s 32.76 million output in April. This a far cry from projected daily output captured in the just approved national budget.

Politics / Nigeria's Problem Listed- So Touching-one DAY- By Eldee (video) by spyx64(m): 8:23am On Apr 12, 2016
watch this very touching and inspiring song by Eldee ONE DAY, he talked about the countries problem and the song was about 5 years ago(old song but still making sense), what politicians are putting us through. till the last day of PDPs era

am not here to call out names, just to show us that our problem did not start today, and as such we should not expect it to just disappear overnight. i sat somewhere last-night, was listening to a group of educated Nigerian youths arguing about the country.......insulting, accusing, cursing Buhari and some ethnic group for the problem of our father land......i felt so sad seeing that many of our youth's minds have been clouded with so much sentiment, ethnic hate and irrationality, this are suppose to be the leaders of tomorrow. we really need to change our ways to build a better Nigeria. the people responsible for our nation's problem are in every tribe, they are some of our fathers, brothers, sisters, uncles etc.....but sentiment won't let us see this.

freeze001:
Kachikwu has made a good presentation and identified some major issues affecting petrol supply. I do hope politics and parochial interests will give way and allow this man pick his team and rework the petroleum sector.

If nothing else one can see real leadership qualities which are: Intelligence, Communication (very important), Articulate and clear speech, Ease of making points clear and giving a sense of belonging so it's not about the head but that everyone needs to pitch in at their level and own the fight.

It is said that when the head is rotten, the fish is as good as condemned. There is nothing that creates and maintains the presence of dumbness, ineptitude and lack of intelligence than slurred speech coupled with a bad accent that damages even basic pronunciation. That alone muddles the atmosphere of whatever message is to be passed.
Secondly, listeners don't want to strain themselves. A public speaker/leader needs to learn the art of public speaking and engagement, be creative in thinking outside the box and matching words with action. That way, he's taken seriously.

Again, leadership should never be about the perceptions and mindset of the leader. Brutish, dictatorial tendencies only turn most appointees and followers into zombies all in the bid to please the feudal lord while general needs remain unmet. A leader making it all about himself and creating the impression that he's the only upright n qualified one while others are dirty, corrupt or insignificant by his own myopic standards, creates even more problems for himself.

I can go on and on but the honest truth is Buhari just doesn't cut it as a qualified and effective leader for a diverse entity like Nigeria. In the military, yes, with the regimented lifestyle where every rule is in place to follow and enforce. Presidency however, is a completely different kettle of fish and Buhari is not quite there yet.

The only redeeming factor he may need to acquire is lose the need to make it all about himself and his infamous uprightness, appoint real professionals who are able and ready to roll out policies that work and finally, let them work! Most of his current appointees are mediocre at best so they happily roll over to please him in zombie-like manner. If mediocrity is not the problem of some, then placing them where they don't belong is yet another problem!

Frankly speaking, a leader has got to be easy on the ears! A leader doesn't whine and quarrel with tools handed him but rather fixes or replaces them where necessary and gets the job done! You're there because there are problems so always repeating those problems and wishing they weren't there is highly incompetent and does hurt the ears!

Crime / My Son Was Oruru’s Domestic Help For 10 Years – Yunusa’s Father by spyx64(m): 6:29pm On Mar 03, 2016
More revelations continue to emerge on the alleged abduction of Ese Oruru, the 14-year-old from her parents’ home in Bayelsa. Yunusa Yellow’s father, Dahiru Bala, in an exclusive interview with Vanguard, Wednesday, said his son was a house help to the Oruru’s family for 10 years in Yenagoa.

He also said that he was opposed to the marriage of his son to Ese because he (Yinusa) was already engaged in the village. Yunusa Yellow His words: “ Yunusa was a domestic help to Oruru’s family for 10 years and when he told me of his love relationship with Ese, I opposed him because we already have a bride for him in the village”. Apart from being engaged, he also said allowing his son to marry Ese will be against his religion.

“The relationship between my son and Ese was built on ignorance of their religious background which made it difficult for any of us to support their marriage proposal”.

Dahiru Bala revealed that the teenager reportedly said to be 5 months pregnant converted to Islam on her own free will. “Sequel to the request of Ese, she was converted to Islam on the order of the District Head before he was taken to the Emir’s palace for his final say”.

Politics / Hypocrisy In This Country Stinks To High Heavens (PHOTOS) by spyx64(m): 6:08pm On Mar 03, 2016
Hypocrisy in this country stinks to high heavens. You see people find it very easy and simple to insult Muslims or Islam over what is norm, tradition and culture in the suppose "holy south" where a girl leaves her parents' home to be with her man friend even when she is 14yrs old. In fact, some to the baby factory at the age of 13. The funny thing about the people insulting Islam and practicing Muslims is that they are dirty people doing all sorts of dirty and abominable acts.
How can a sane man "abduct" a suppose sane girl from bayelsa to Kano without her full consent? Does it make any sense? So Yunusa forced her to a cab all the way from bayelsa to Kano without facing any resistance from her and without anybody noticing? This is the very vital question the "holy ones" need to ask themselves. No practicing Muslim will support what Yunusa did. Credit to the Emir of Kano who happened to know the issue and immediately wrote to the police for further action, even though his order was not carried out. Hmmm.. Naija media as usual: If Solomon as individual human being commit, they will say "Solomon committed...."
But if Sulaiman as individual human being commit, they will say "Northerners, Islam or Muslims committed...."
