The question here is if the immigration officers at Canada will raise any eyebrows...which someone has replied that they won't

I think baby should go in my opinion. Find a telegram/whatsapp group for your proposed province, reach out/explain your situation and people will assist where they can.

Does the baby have COPR already? If yes, then you can land without the baby but you have to come back to Canada before the baby’s COPR expires. And that might not be possible if you don’t get PR cards/PR travel documents on time.

Please quick question....does anyone know people that have done partial family first landing....i.e to not go completely as a family on first landing trip

we plan to land as a family of 4 and not 5 and leave the baby behind because it is our first time to canada and the logistics of managing a baby...feeding and all will be stressful.

Has anyone heard of such partial landing and does it cause issues at the point if entry

please a quick question....we received the PPR letter and it mentions something there about not submitting your passport if it is a US passport and just photocopies

It's PPR Time...

Amazing how as at yesterday morning, I was on this platform asking questions about webforms and around 5pm....things had done a 360 and PPR landed

As per normal custom, I'll try and share the timelines I can remember

Entered the express entry pool: 5th Oct'20
ITA: 14th Oct'20
AOR: 30th Dec'20
2021...silence throughout and I didn't even bother to check or follow up because I wasn't ready for it; prayer for me actually was to get it in 2022
remedicals request: Feb 6th 2022
Remedicals done Mar 5th and passed Mar 8th
Raised webform to add new born: 23rd Feb
Got ADR for new born: 24th May
Submitted Documents which included upfront medicals for baby....new POF: 18th May
Baby added to profile: 15th June

SILENCE....called July and they said all documents completely reviewed and cleared except for baby medicals which they did not see (note they did not inform me, so calling was really useful)
Sent emails and webform with documents
Called IRCC again and they said medicals now received by 19th July

SILENCE....I kept sending mails and called 3 times after that date; message still the same....they are reviewing the medicals

I was really getting worried with the delay and even asked a question here whether it's normal for PPR to be delayed

Got a nudge in the spirit on Tuesday Aug 9th to pray specifically about the delay, did my prayers and went to eat
SAME day they update and pass the medicals (I didn't know because I didn't check my profile and was expecting an email notification about profile update), so I still send email reminders on Wednesday and even Yesterday

Decided to check my profile yesterday Aug 11 and was so suprised to see medicals had been passed Aug 9th....while I was still praising God for that....Got the email for the PPR

simple summary....
1. Put all in God's hands
2. do your best in being diligent in follow ups and be honest in your documentation
3. read read read....I got tips from here about finding my VO and calling IRCC

There is an IRCC Webform other than the one on your page. It involves stating whether your application is processed within or outside Canada. I hope this helps

Hello Everyone

I am here this day to show appreciation to all the contributors and responders here. I am a silent follower of this thread, but do so religiously. Sometimes ago, someone shared email where one can write to in Singapore to determine where one's application is being processed, I did, and discovered our application was being processed in Windsor, Canada. Thanks to the fellow who shared the info, you were of great help at the point you did.

Another time, someone shared several emails on other matters to get the attention of the VO concerning a trending issue at the time. again, it was really helpful and important for me at the time. Also, i took the advantage, got auto replies that the mails are for internal use only. But it did work for me at the time because the right response was gotten.

Well, for those wondering what the issues are, let me just share the latter part of the story after silence upon silence from IRCC. On May 28, I received 2 mails from IRCC, one was Pre- Arrival Services Letter and the other was tagged Request Letter, with utmost excitement, I opened the Request Letter with the hope and anticipation of finding PPR, but to my surprise, it contained GCMS Notes, including 3rd party details. I was shocked, but of a strong conviction that it was a wrong attachment. I started to pray about it, and began to raise web Forms to get a clarification. Also, i have read from here, if need be, to bombard IRCC with several mails and web forms to get their attention, this I also did. thanks to the fellow who shared this as well.

At exactly 2 months of praying and sending webforms, most especially, the webforms for the internal use gotten from here, i got a mail saying it was a wrong attachment and they are sorry for the error. they also copied one privacy commission, and said I can escalate the errors to them if I so wish........etc. I forgot to mention that I included on the subject, "3rd Party Information". That I think got the desired result and necessary action. It was from here I got the info of how to deal with Web Specific Forms, as I now know where the application is being processed from. Thanks to all for this.

Fast forwarding, got the PPR, sent to Kenya for stamping, returned in 1 week 2 days...and now set.

Once again, thanks to everyone, and i will try to remain on this thread to give back and contribute where necessary. I must add that "Prayers" also played a major part. God still answers prayers. Thanks

thank you. I have sent a couple of emails to them on it. I received ADR for babys documents and uploaded the baby's documents in May actually. They added her in June and the upfront medicals was part of the documents I submitted. I however called IRCC to find the status of the application and they told me a comment was made on ny application that they were awaiting baby's medical results.

I then raised a webform and sent several emails with it....and on July 19th...they noted in my file that medicals now received and being evaluated.

I am just suprised that to evaluate and update my profile with the medical results is taking almost another month.

If you know your VO, send direct email to them with your UCI number as the email subject and "eMedical Form". Remember to attached the eMedical form. It's works for me as my upfront remed Medical passed 2 days after i sent the email

Can I add my new baby to my application using her US passport??

I don't have her Nigerian passport yet?

Finally picked up my issued visa yesterday....the journey of many months has finally come to a fruitful end

Summary: Submitted IW application on the 25th Feb...refused on the 2nd of March and I was asked to resubmit a new passport photo which I did

I used my last visa which expired Jan this year to birth and returned to Nigeria this 2022....stayed 3 months and reflected this on my ds160 form.

I was worried this will result in a physical interview request but it did not....

For everyone starting out the process... please be upfront and honest in your ds160...fill it yourself if you can and avoid agents who many times fill incorrect information for people that lead to denial

This thread is a very useful thread....Read through and also gain from the vast experience shared by other people

You gave me the ginger to go to DHL this morning. And they brought out my passport like they weren't the same people that told me the passport isn't with them 2ce when i went there.
I also sent an email to lagosniv@state.gov last night and got a response today that my passport has been with DHL since 23rd of February.
So in summary:

Submitted 15th February
Visa issued 22nd February
No pickup email
Visited DHL 2ce and they said it wasn't with them.
Passport tracking said my passport was still at the embassy
Went to DHL again 25th March and picked up without hassle.

Bunch of sloppy people, i must say.

for the timing on how long to drop thr passport....same average time as pickup from DHL because it was same queue at least for the DHL office in muri okunola.

I am not sure if someone can drop it on her behalf....you may need to call DHL and ask them if signing that proxy form may suffice

for nos 3 question....I am not also sure. my passport pickup location has always been muri okunola because I live in lagos

for nos 4 my passport is not yet out. After submitting my passport on the 10th of March and photograph....my status on the visa check site changed from refused to administrative processing and then on the 17th of March was issued. However passport pickup status still shows my passport is with the US embassy till now.

1. How long did it take to drop off your documents at the DHL office?
2. Does my mom have to go in person or can someone else drop it off at the DHL office for her?
3. Will passport pickup be at the same DHL drop off location or can she choose where to pick up?
4. How long did it take to get your passport back?

You are right...she can send back the passport photograph and passport through DHL. In the letter I received...they listed the specific DHL office that I should use to mail back the passport photograph and passport.

DHL also attached the 221G letter I initially received that showed this request.

UPDATE: I sent them an email and they said she was sent a letter requesting a recent passport photograph and they can proceed once they receive the photo! Yay! She wasnt given this letter at DHL Benin, she was only given her passport book. Anyone that has done this, I'm assuming she can send the photo along with her passport through the DHL office she picked her passport from. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

Yes....check your appointment schedule page and if the tracking there says your passport is ready for collection....you can proceed to DHL to pick up..

submitted IW application on the 25th of Feb....saw a refusal decision on the 2nd of March....did not get any email from the embassy but noticed that my profile on the US appointment site was showing documents ready for collection so I went to DHL and the document was available

What I am a bit confused for is that I was not asked to schedule a new appointment but was asked to resubmit a new passport photograph at dhl and also my passport.

has anyone had this same scenario where they were refused and asked to just submit some documents

for people who have been asked to schedule a physical interview....do they get access to special interview dates that are close by or do they have to join the national struggle to get a date
