A referee in the Democratic Republic of Congo had to flee for safety after the female team of DC Motema Pembe got very angry and attacked him during a match against TP Mazembe.

The male referee was reportedly attacked over poor officiating during the match. He was mobbed and viciously attacked after giving TP Mazembe a penalty.

The referee was seen sprinting across the soccer field and was suddenly confronted by multiple Motema Pembe players and staff members, who began to rain down kicks and punches.

The incident has caused a big stir among concerned football fans.

South African rapper, AKA’s daughter broke down in tears at her father’s memorial service.

The memorial service of slain rapper AKA, real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, took place this evening February 17, at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg with Mzansi’s musicians, actors, politicians, and other dignitaries in attendance.

One of the most heart-wrenching moments was when the rapper's seven-year-old daughter, Kairo Owethu Forbes broke down in tears. She was quickly consoled by one of her close family members and her mother, DJ Zinhle.

AKA was shot and killed last Friday in Durban, South Africa. He was 35. The rapper’s former manager, Tebello, also known as ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, was also gunned down on the same day and both he and AKA will be laid to rest on the 18th of February, 2023.

The Kano State Fire Service has rescued a newborn baby thrown into a pit toilet by an alleged mentally challenged mother in Sabon Titi Quarters in Gidan Kankara, Kano municipal local government area of the state.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, after girl was found crying, shouting on top of her voice that her mother, a 25-year-old woman identified as Hauwa Muhammad, had thrown her sister into the pit.
The Public Relations Officer of State Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident in a statement said that the service received a distress call from a member of its staff, Ibrahim Umar-Muhammad, around 10:49 a.m. and immediately dispatched a rescue team to the scene.

?Upon receiving the information, we quickly dispatched our rescue team and a vehicle to the scene at about 10:54 a.m,? he said.

Muhammed said that the mentally challenged mother, who also had another six-year-old daughter, gave birth to the newborn and dumped the baby in a latrine.

?Fortunately, the six-year-old daughter quickly raised an alarm on her mother?s actions and with good efforts of neighbours and firemen, the baby was rescued alive,?

He said the mother was handed over to her grandfather, Abubakar Umar-Usman of Sabon Titi quarters to take the newborn to hospital for medical attention.

He alleged that incident might have resulted from the suspicion that the newborn came out of wedlock.

A yet-to-be-identified man was recently arrested by some security agents for allegedly ??snatching'' the manhood of another man in Owerri. Imo state.

The man was apprehended and interrogated by the security agents including a soldier.

In a video making the rounds on social media, the victim said he went out to fetch water for his boss, and while on his way back, he decided to drop the bucket so he could catch his breath. He said it was at this time that the suspect accosted him. He said the suspect used his hand to touch his manhood and that it instantly began to change. He said he immediately raised an alarm and people started to beat the man.

A man has been arrested after he was spotted smashing the windscreen of a McLaren supercar on Sunday, February 12, 

The man brazenly walked over the bonnet and jumped up and down on the roof of the car but didn't know he would be spotted by the owner of the McLaren who was having his haircut over the road at a barber nearby in Uxbridge, west London, UK.

Footage shows the man walking over the front of the car before bouncing on the windscreen causing thousands of pounds worth of damage on the supercar worth �225,000

Other members of the public are said to have screamed at him telling him to get down, but he didn?t seem to care, a witness said.

The Mclaren 720s, was parked in Barker Road close to Uxbridge bus-station and belongs to celebrity supercar dealer George Gehdu.

Mr Gehdu regularly shares some of his famous clients online, including Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, and Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha.

George posted on Instagram after the incident and said: ?Firstly I appreciate the support massively, not just people across the country but across the world, to see if everything is alright.

I?m all good, I wasn?t involved in anything, it was just some scrawny little rat, nevertheless the police came in good time a car is a car.

He definitely took his time and tried to damage it as much as possible, nevertheless I?m still out here and I?m still moving and that?s the main thing.

Police are searching for a Texas mother who abandoned her 12-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son for two months.

An arrest warrant has been issued by the Roman Forest Police Department for mother Raven Yates, who is charged with two counts of abandoning/endangering a child without the intent to return, the department said.

Police said they received a phone call from the concerned father of the 12-year-old on Nov. 14 who reported that the two children had been home alone since Sept. 28, 2022. 

During the weeks they spent alone at home, the siblings allegedly had limited access to food or medicine.

The father, who lived and worked in California, immediately flew to Texas, police said. He told law enforcement that Yates had been spotted in Mobile, Alabama, without the children by his former mother-in-law, police told ABC News.

He realized the children had been left home alone after his daughter asked him to send them food regularly. 

The father alerted police and met them at the house where the two children were staying.

There was no food on the shelves or in the fridge, but the kids appeared healthy.

Award winning South African rapper AKA, real name is Kiernan Forbes, has been shot dead in Durban, South Africa on Friday, February 10.

The rapper who was based in Johannesburg flew into Durban earlier today February 10th for his birthday party which was scheduled to hold at Yugo Nightclub which he had advertised on his social media pages and asked fans to show up.

Two hours before he was killed, AKA had gone to Fish Restaurant on Florida Road with some friends and his bodyguard and posted his location on his IG page. After the meal, he stepped outside the restaurant and that was when he was killed shortly after 10pm.

There are witnesses claiming someone walked up to him and shot him 6 times and there are other reports that claim it was a drive-by shooting. That two cars drove by the restaurant as AKA stood outside with friends and was shot dead. A friend standing with him was also killed while his bodyguard was injured in the shooting.

His friend and colleague, Da Les tweeted shortly after the news of the shooting broke.

North Korea shows off largest-ever number of nuclear missiles at night time parade (photos)

North Korea now armed with nuclear weapons showcased its missile production capability during a nighttime parade, state media reported on Thursday, displaying more intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) than ever before and hinting at a new solid-fuel weapon.

North Korea held the nighttime military parade in Pyongyang on Wednesday to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of its army, state news agency KCNA said.

Leader Kim Jong Un attended with his daughter, who is seen as a possible future leader of the country in the hereditary dictatorship.

The ICBMs showed North Korea?s ?greatest? nuclear strike capability, KCNA said, adding that the parade also featured tactical nuclear units.

Imagery released by state media showed as many as 11 Hwasong-17s, North Korea?s largest ICBMs, which are suspected to have the range to strike nearly anywhere in the world with a nuclear warhead.

North Korea has forged ahead with its ballistic missile programme, launching larger and more advanced missiles despite United Nations Security Council resolutions and sanctions.

The Hwasong-17s were followed by what some analysts said could be a prototype or mockup of a new solid-fuel ICBM in canister launchers.

Sohanram Nayak tried to recapture the enraged animal after it broke free from its rope constraints, trying to chase down another camel in Panchu village, Bikaner, in Rajasthan state on Monday night.

A video of a woman giving birth to a baby under the rubble in quake-ravaged Syria went viral on social media. The incident was reported from Aleppo in Syria.

The pregnant woman is believed to have been trapped under the debris for over a day in the northeastern town of Jenderes. She reportedly sadly died shortly after giving birth to the child surrounded by the devastation of Turkey’s terrifying earthquakes.

Harrowing footage captured the moment one eagle-eyed rescuer plucked the infant from under the rubble.The man was forced to navigate through the maze of twisted metal, crumbled concrete and barbed wire with the newborn in his arms.

He carried the little girl to safety as she took her first breaths, while another man races after him with a dusty green blanket. The comforter was hastily chucked towards the bloke so he could bundle the baby up to keep her warm and alive.

Bystanders were seen watching the emotive rescue in awe, bemused by the wonder of new life in the depths of destruction. The tot is now being cared for, but her parents were reportedly tragically killed in the deadly earthquake.

The baby’s rescue has become a symbol of hope as aid teams, emergency services and locals race against the clock to find survivors. At least 1,602 people have been killed in Syria and another 3,500 injured after the 7.8-magnitude earthquake rocked Turkey on Monday.

Ugandan Police in Nansana have arrested a group of 44 people for organizing and attending a same s£x marriage.

According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, on Monday, Police received a tip off about a group of men suspected to be homosexuals conducting a wedding in 780 zone, Ochen ward in Nansana municipality.

“Immediately a team of police officers proceeded to the scene and a group of 38 adult males and 6 females were found conducting a ceremony at around 1pm that looked to be a wedding. All the men had make up and some were dressed as female in dresses and wigs,”Owoyesigyire said.

“At the same functions gifts were recovered, these included suitcases, a tv, assorted gifts like sugar, salt, pineapples and many other gifts normally given at traditional functions.”

The Kampala police spokesperson noted that used and unused condoms were recovered at the scene whereas the suspects were not observing Covid SOPs like social distancing and wearing of masks.

He noted that they were arrested and detained at police.

The Criminal Investigations Divisions spokesperson, Charles Twine later said the group would be charged for doing a negligent act likely to spread an infectious disease.

A 46-year-old man identified as Hassan Azeez has been arrested by men of the Ogun state Police Command, for allegedly pouring petrol on his wife and setting her ablaze.

A statement released by SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, spokesperson of the state police command, says the suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Ibogun divisional headquarters by the victim's father, that on October 22, 2022, his daughter, Olayinka Hassan was set ablaze by her husband over a minor disagreement, and that the victim, a mother of one, had been rushed to an hospital in Ibadan.

??Upon the report, the DPO Ibogun division, CSP Samuel Oladele quickly mobilized his men and moved to the scene. But before getting there, the suspect had escaped. Since then, the police operatives have been on his trail until 22nd of January when he was eventually apprehended.

On interrogation, the suspect who claimed to have ran away to Benin Republic confessed to the commission of the crime but blamed it on the devil.

According to him, he asked the victim to prepare food for him but instead of the victim to prepare his food, she was busy washing clothes. He stated further that he got annoyed because he was hungry and the annoyance made him to pour petrol on her and set her on fire. When asked whose clothes the woman was washing, he confessed that it was his clothes.'' Oyeyemi said

The suspect has been transferred to the Homicide section of the state Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and possible prosecution

He gave the young man a few strokes of the cane and separated both of them, after which he sent his daughter back into the house.

The man then chased away the young man who could be seen scratching his back due to the itch from the lash of the cane.

Thief forced to clean sewage, entertain residents after being caught stealing iron rods

A suspected thief was caught stealing iron rods at a community in Ghana and the residents decided to compel him to do community service.

It was gathered that the suspect is notorious for theft and he had operated multiple times without being caught but luck ran out on him during the most recent operation.

After being nabbed red-handed stealing iron rods, residents forced the yet-to-be identified man to clean sewage in the neighborhood.

He was then asked to entertain them by dancing and he could be seen doing that while wearing his dirty clothes.

In a video making the rounds shows him busting some dance moves with glee in order to entertain members of the community.

Thereafter, he was offered a new set of clothes, food, and drinks to replenish his strength.

A man tracked his wife to a hotel where she went to meet her secret lover and caught them as they were heading to the room.

He confronted the both of them in the elevator area and created a dramatic scene which was captured on camera.

The husband, obviously furious clenched his fist as though he wanted to attack them but he held himself back from going through with an assault.

In a video which has gone viral, the hotel manager could be seen telling them to take the issue outside the premises so they do not inconvenience other lodgers.

After a brief moment of outrage targeted at his wife, the man began to cry when someone tried consoling him in a bid to make him calm down.

Pandemonium at University of Abuja female hostel as room goes up in flames after student set her mattress on fire (video)

Students in a female hostel at the University of Abuja had to wrestle a student to the ground after she tried to set the entire hostel on fire.

The student, said to be "possessed", set her mattress on fire inside her room then watched as the fire spread to the entire room.

She allegedly held a knife to prevent other students from coming close to put out the fire.

Eventually, when the fire started getting out of hand, some students wrestled her to the ground while others tackled the fire.
