You have to understand that man is dual in nature,that means the spiritman and the Flesh.
Many people have only physical consciousness of their daily activities and existence in the flesh,for which they lack knowledge of their spiritman existence.
Most people can give account of what they do in the daytime but

In the night when they sleep,their spiritman starts his own activities which we call dreams of the night.
When such an individual is Spiritually porous, negative Spirit that are stronger than such individual can borrow the person's face and they could use such individual Spiritual face to perform evil Enterprise, torment that person's friends and families.
When such a person wake up in the morning,he wouldn't remember whatever that has happened in the night,because of what is called gap of unawareness.
When the person that was torment wakes up in the morning,he would be seeing that face he saw in the midnight as a witch but of a truth he isn't the witch but just that his spiritman was borrow by negative powers to do evil work.

Secondly, someone can be in a Spiritual convanant,initiated,dedicated to a negative altar without the person's awareness.
