This happened last week Saturday, my pressing iron got fault and I have to iron cloth for church d following day which is Sunday.. There is this female neighbour of mine that I once borrowed USB cord from her and since then we started becoming close, so I thought I shud go to her and borrow iron to press my cloth...On getting dere I knock the door but the person opened the door at the second knock, lo n behold I met her friend there and i also saw her boyfriend inside and dat was the first time I will see dat her friend since I got there though I know she has a roommate... So I told her sorry I thought its your friend and she said what is it, I told her my iron was faulty and she shud please borrow me there own, she said which type of iron( frowning face), I said pressing Iron..she just look me one kind and shot the door. I felt so embarrassed and felt as if the ground shud swallow me.I have never been so embarrassed like that before in my life.My fellow nairalanders why are some girls like this in this century. This girl in question is a mature girl oo and not a teenager, I heard she work with infinix and that her boyfriend has a car.

What's ur biz with where she works or if her bf has a jet. U've described her as a ''matured'' gal dat's all.. Been matured is nt wen ur bf has a car or whr u wrk.
As for her act, dnt see it as embarrassment. It's one of those 'off days.' they might have annoyed her b4 u came knocking. & she gave u a bit of d anger. Majority of human does dat. (Transferring our anger to others)
Don't be surprise. She'll come &' apologise.

damostic2005:
Hello guys, I need your honest opinions, I'm 26years old and I'm in love with a 30year old lady. She loves me too and she's got 2kids already, she has never been married as the father of her children left her over 8years ago..

She's a responsible woman as far as I know because she takes proper care of her kids, she's fromAkwa ibom and she's a police officer (Asp) but my parents don't want me to be with her, they say because she's older and she's got kids and because she's not yoruba, that she won't be submissive and respectful to me, bla bla bla.

..I'm a fresh graduate am still job hunting though..but once I get a job and settle down, I'm willing to go all the way with her..

We have been off and on for 4years now..but one thing am sure is that she loves me and her kids love me too..please I'm I on the right path? I hope am not getting myself into trouble? Please I need your candid advise..thank you guys

Love can be found in strange places.. And one can love even the least person you ever imagined.. Follow your heart. i would have asked you to listen to ur parents, but their reasons wasn't genuine enough.
And, before you follow ur heart, ask her few Qs.
How come at 22 she's already with 2 kids because u said the father of d kids left her 8yrs ago.
And, wouldn't he come back in future to claim his kids? By then, u must have trained them.
All in all, just be careful because marriage is not desame as courtship.

Who cares what anyone says about you... just live your life.

Racism is everywhere. Not only in/from humans. But to other creatures. And, even on ourselves.

For instance, some years back, my nebor punished his son because d boy always chase away a black male dog dat always comes after their female dog. When he was asked why he chased the dog, he said because d dog was too black.

Anoda event was that, my nephew once looked into the mirror & exclaimed dat he's too Dark for his liking. & my dad punished him. because he said if someone else had told him he's too dark, he would have picked offense..

But, in real sense, i always tell people dat ''I AM WHOM/WHAT I SAY I AM.'' Your opinion about me has no effect on me.

Business / Re: Delay In Clearing My Cars At Lagos Port...am I Being Scammed? by stevLegend: 11:40am On Feb 06, 2016
eksammy:

Hello N'landers,

Please I need you guys to advise me cos Im having a feeling that some things may not be right.

My container with 3 cars (2009 Nissan, 2007 Xterra & 2004 Sienna) landed in Lagos on the 15th of January and till today Feb. 3, the Agent has not cleared it after i gave him 600k, 500k and 350k respectively for the 3 cars even a week before they landed.

Week 1: He claims the container was inspected by customs on the 18th (3 days after it birthed) and they asked for extra 70k for some clothes in the container...and this dragged.

Week 2: He said there were changes in policies causing the delay and the goods has entered 'ALERT' whatever that means. He now said later in the week that he has spent 158k and still trying to get full amount for 'dummorage'.

Week 3: Today is wednesday and he has not picked his calls this week.

Please can someone explain to me how this clearing thing works?

How long is it supposed to take to clear a container?

Are there recent legal changes affecting clearing at Lagos Port of maerskline?

What does it mean for goods to 'enter alert'?

How long does it take for containers to start accumulating Dummorhage and what is the daily rate?

Someone please help and advise me on what you think i should do.

Oga, it's good to have people to discuss and share our ordeals with.. I once used an Agent registered and affilliated with the Customs Service. U can mail him or Hastatravels96@gmail.com. Or contact him on 08165881375.. He will help you out. Both in clearing your goods and tracking down the person u paid to if he happens to be a fraudster.
It's not easy to import 3 cool cars &' someone would sstil want to extort from u without d fear of God.

Good Morning yummy mummies as most people are starting their day, we've probably been up for a few hours now as babies know how to interrupt our beauty sleep but that's ok because we love them more than anything. Anyhow Jamil is 6 months now and this morning I thought I heard him trying to say DaDa, Ahhhhh
I just quickly started saying MaMa MaMa MaMa before my husband heard, I mean I carried you for how many months, you come resemble your papa, now you wan come say daddy name first. Rara o, I go do ojoro LOL... but all jokes apart every new stage with your baby is so amazing, from first smile to first words to first steps. What was your babies first words
