This is spot-on.
Seems like all of our Nigerian mothers belong to an underground child rearing association where they agree on all these their modus operandi on raising kids. They do it with hit precision, especially that angular slippers throwing.

There are two more via that link. You spoke out my thoughts. I was thinking it could make the front page to celebrate our mothers.

Health / Photos Of The Conjoined Twins Separated In A 16-hour Operation by Stoja: 3:24pm On Sep 09, 2015
Read more - http://thelivefeeds..com.ng/

Doctors at a central Ohio hospital, Nationwide Children's Hospital, have successfully separated conjoined 11-month-old twin girls in a 16-hour operation. The twins were born attached at the pelvic and hip region. A statement released by a public relations agency says that Acen and Apio were recovering at the children's hospital after the complex procedure that lasted 16 hours last Thursday.

After being told the surgery was successful, the mother of the twins Esther Akello threw up her arms before giving Dr. Besner an emotional hug.

"The parents' faces when you tell them the babies are separated is something that you will never get out of your mind," Besner said. "You will remeber it for the rest of your life" she added.

The operation was conducted by a surgical team of more than 30 specialists. They undertook a delicate job of separating the spinal cord after identifying which muscles and nerves belonged to Acen and Apio, Gail Besner, the chief of Pediatric Surgery at hospital explained.

Highlighting the complexity of the operation, Besner said tissue expanders had to be placed underneath the twins’ skin earlier this year to prepare for their separation. The twins are expected to stay longer at the hospital before returning home since the will both need to have one additional surgery to remove their colostomies which they have had since shortly after birth.

According to the statement, two neurosurgeons focused on one sister each and assisted each other to delicately divide their intertwined spinal cords. The specialists also performed operations to create an anal opening for each of the twins since neither twin was born with the organ.

Pioneering technology including pre-operative 3D modeling, as well as intra-operative neurophysiological monitoring, were used during the operation, the statement revealed.

Jeffrey Leonard, the chief of neurosurgery at Nationwide Children’s said imaging helped guide the medical team’s understanding of the twins’ anatomy. The twins' mother praised the work done by the hospital saying: "Without Children's Hospital of Colorado, neither of my daughters would have has a chance"

Sports / Breaking! Nigeria Wins The 2015 Afrobasket Tournament, See How by Stoja: 11:48pm On Aug 30, 2015
The Nigeria senior basketball team, D’tigers, has emerged the African champion after beating the defending champion Angola, at the finals of the 2015 Afrobasket with 65 – 74.

The team emerged champion of the tournament for the first time ever as they create a record for the Nation.

The game started on a low-key note for the Nigerian team when the first quarter ends 13 – 10 in favour of the Angolans, the game seemed to change when Olumide Oyedeji was substituted for Chamberlain Oguchi after he was roughly tackled.

Nigeria bounced back with speed to win the second quarter after resisting the physically strong Angolans, they later played 24 – 37 to end the quarter. However, the Angolans nailed their own coffin in the game by conceding a lot of fouls which was twice as much as the D’tigers’.

Naij.com sports recalled, the Nigerian team were bundled out of the 2013 Afrobasket at the Quarter-finals after putting up a shambolic performance. The introduction of Will Voights, an American Coach seems to be the ace as the team which comprised of 80% of the same boys that played in 2013.

Third Quarter ended 36 – 51 as the Angolans appeared demoralized. Fourth quarter ended 65 – 74 which dethroned the Angolans as Nigeria took over the basketball throne in Africa.

Host of the Tournament, Tunisia came third after dumping Senegal.

Meanwhile, Oguchi became the man of the tournament, winning three individual medals; the best three pointer, made the A team, and the best player of the tournament.

It will be vey tough to implement that policy because "citizen by birth" is an essential part of America. It is even the law that no one can be president of America if they were born in America. Romance / New Invention Against Rape by Stoja: 1:49am On Aug 10, 2015
“If only I had teeth down there,” was how a rape victim narrated her ordeal to a South African medical technician named Sonette Ehlers.

And since necessity is the mother of invention, Ehlers has provided women with “teeth down there” (a device) that will enable women fight rapists back.

According to KCCN FM 100, Ehlers created a product she called Rapex. It resembles a tube, with barbs inside. The woman inserts it like a tampon and any man who tries to rape the woman “impales himself on the barbs and must go to an emergency room to have the Rapex removed.”

However, some critics say this is a medieval punishment.

Family / How To Cope With Your Job While Pregnant by Stoja: 11:13pm On Aug 09, 2015
http://www.thelivefeeds.com/?p=7195

I am not about to tell you all about being a superwoman because I do understand what you may be going through. With severe anaemia the entire nine months of my first pregnancy, an episode with high blood pressure and preterm labour at 26weeks, the devil threw everything at me that first time. I should also tell you that I did not have the baby until 38 weeks, and I went to work until the last day.

Ask me how I did that? I think it was two things; one, I stayed very thankful the entire time, and I was very positive. We didn’t have a car then, we lived in Ojodu-Berger Lagos and I worked in Apapa and it was quite difficult, but it was never became an issue for me. I believed I could do everything.

I did not give myself any limits – of course within reasonable boundaries. My work involved frequent travel and I flew a number of times. I did not accept everything the doctors told me. I stayed very informed though. I never missed clinic, I asked all the relevant questions, I researched on my own, I used my routine drugs faithfully and tried to eat healthy as much as I could, but I also never accepted anything in my heart that made me fearful.

I kept a journal. I documented how I had to take two to three buses every-day, crossed busy roads and never had an accident, never had one fall. I think looking at the good things kept me strong. I appreciated all the ‘little things’ and those ‘little things’ made me know that God would be there for me till the very end.

‘Coping’ Tips: there are ways to curb your symptoms so they don’t interfere too much with your job performance. You don’t want people thinking you are using pregnancy as an excuse to slack at work. But don’t feel guilty about needing to take more frequent breaks or sit down more often; just do whatever needs to be done to keep going. Plan the bulk of your workload around when you usually feel your best. For most women, this may be afternoon. But for me, I think I felt better in the mornings.

The best thing to do if you are having morning sickness is to constantly snack on something. Find what works best for you. You could try dry and bland stuff like crackers and nuts. Small healthy snacks throughout the day can keep your blood sugar steady and curb nausea. Keeping an empty stomach only worsens the nausea. Sit by the door when you’re in meetings so if you have to leave abruptly (due to nausea or bladder issues), it’s not so conspicuous.

The biggest challenge will probably be fighting fatigue. A brisk walk at lunchtime can do wonders, says Nancy W. Hall, PhD, author of Balancing Pregnancy and Work. And something as simple as chewing mint-flavored gum is instantly refreshing. Try getting to bed a little earlier too.

Strenuous Work? Take breaks as often as you can. If you have to stand for long periods, put one foot on a footrest or small box. Alternate your resting foot throughout the day. It would be best if you could switch to a type of work that is less physically taxing during your pregnancy. For example, you might change tasks with a co-worker so that you do the desk work while she does the work that requires more walking and standing.

If this isn’t possible in your workplace, try to take an occasional sick day to relieve fatigue and reduce the number of hours you work or the time you spend on your feet, especially toward the end of the second trimester and during the third. Many women try to save up sick and vacation days to use for maternity leave, but you need to balance that against the needs of your body.

Remind yourself and your husband that you may need to take a day off from time to time in order to ensure a healthy delivery and baby, and that’s important, too.

Stay Graceful: You may look ‘interesting’ even to yourself, but beauty and grace are actually more from within. I understand all kinds of hormones are at work at pregnancy, but you mustn’t abandon yourself to selfish, irrational impulses. Don’t be a nuisance.

It is very important not to make people feel that by letting you continue to work, that this is a hardship being visited on you, or that your tiredness is the fault of the job. If you are experiencing a really rough pregnancy, give thought as to whether it is worth remaining at work at all. Your health and your baby’s, are the most important things of all.

Whether you are working in the home or outside the home, those nine months take a great deal of courage. The important thing is that you do not entertain fear, and that you go through each day believing that it is going to be your best yet! This is the way we go through, as winners that we are!

Family / Guy Stabs Dad To Death, Tries To Tell Mom Sword Is Fake by Stoja: 12:41am On Aug 07, 2015
Full story: http://www.thelivefeeds.com/guy-stabs-dad-to-death-tries-to-tell-mom-sword-is-fake/

A Philadelphia man faces criminal homicide charges after he stabbed his father to death with a sword, which he then told his mom was a fake.

Eli Goodrich, 26, was arrested Tuesday for killing Alan Goodrich, 67.

He was visiting with his parents when his mom June Goodrich, also 67, allegedly heard the two arguing - an argument that soon would turn fatal.

"You are not going to control my mind anymore," Eli allegedly told his father, according to court documents obtained by the AP. "I have to kill you."
He left the house briefly, then returned to check on his mom, whom police and neighbors both described as "very ill," and told her he loved her.

He then allegedly went downstairs and stabbed his dad in the stomach with a "long-bladed sword," police said, and June went to check on him.

"Don't worry, mom, it's a fake sword," Eli told her. "It collapses."

He went on to pull it out of his father, covered in blood. At that point, June called 911, telling the dispatcher that her son had stabbed him on purpose.

Alan was taken to the hospital, where he died an hour later.

Neighbors told local media after the shocking turn of events that for whatever it's worth, Eli often came home to care for his ailing parents.

"That's a lot to put on someone," one source said, noting, "Alan was a good guy, but I knew he could be a hell of a bastard after his stroke."
