It's a grant aided school. Even private universities enjoy grants from the government. The 1974 agreement with the then military government was explicit. Secondly, there is a fully funded College of Arabic and Islamic Studies in Kwara State funded by both Christians, Muslims and even Traditionalists taxpayer's money.
