, this is not about issues of lambasting or home work, what has that got to do with objectivity, i am AC/AD all the way, Tinubu promised all in 1998/99, go to lekki, yaba and see for yourself, the truth is that these fellows are just interested in the perks of office, so that people like you will continue to adore them or rather follow them albeit blindly,
Lagos state needs someone who is selfless,a commited hard worker and at the time a statesman, i am sorry we are yet to get there, next year is around the corner,i will be vindicated, by the way what has flash me cards got to do with roads and security in Lagos!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brother be objective, eko no get time for sentiments, Nigeria [nay Lagos ]must work, the world is leaving us behind!!!!!!
Get your"" bloody"" thoughts together,

chairman, you have hit the nail in the coffin. dont get confused, i totally agree that the tinubu made promises he failed to keep. all i am saying is the likes of pedro and agbaje fit into the description you just pput up.

the flash me cash thing is an EXAMPLE of the innovativeness of the man. we need innovative ideas. we need people who can rise up the the mantle of leadership and make a difference. we need men like pedro.

lewa:

Let us all be objective and fair for once!Who of these numerous 'politrickcians' can deliver the goods! In AC PDP, ANPP whatever acronym they go by!What are there antecedents?Past records? Lagos like Delta, Rivers and sister states have been raped voraciously!Anyways not to digress inputs please!Who can reverse the trend?Or such a person doesn't exist?

i agree that very many of these men are tricking us. however, you judge a man's ability based on his track record. all you need to do is dig deep into the records of some of these aspirants. the likes of afikuyomi will not even pass screening, that being said, we DO have some very qualified candidates.
Politics / Re: Hilda Williams For Lagos State Governor by streetcyph: 5:03pm On Dec 02, 2006
alarinka:

, lagos politics is all about greed, selfishness and backbiting,
Lagos need someone in the mould of marwa, akhigbe,
try pedro, see otedola go slow style,
try ??STA, SEE GRANSTANDING,
try GOS, FAYOSE style,
try hilda, ALL SENTIMENTS, BLANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
try koro, akala in the making, its not all about fashion,
try fashola, Godfather never sleeps,
try agbaje, something else,
when cometh the redeemer for LAGOS STATE
I think they need to have a televised debate session for them to properly articulate their desires for LAGOS, NOT SENTIMENTS, THIS HOUSE IS FALLING, sorry , i mean sinking!!!!!!!!!!!
,

do u think everybody fits into your stereotype? my friend, u are highly mistaken.

there are credible candidates among the aspirants. agabaje, pedro, to name a few. you cannot say because the person is a household name he surely must be corrupt.

their track records speak fro themselves. agbaje comes from a very respectable family in the corportate sector- his father was d chairman of guarantytrust bank, arguably nigeria (and mybe africa's) best bank ever. his pharmaceutical company, jay kay, is one of the most trusted in nigeria

femi pedro took a bank that was negative 300million in profits to over 6 billion profits in the space of 4 years (1998 to 2002). he is the one who created mobile banking with his innovative "flash me cash" that we all use to send money to others by our phone.

before you start lambasting candidates, do you bloody homework.
Politics / Re: Hilda Williams For Lagos State Governor by streetcyph: 11:55am On Dec 02, 2006
fashola ke? even if the whole nigeria backed fashola he still wont win. watch when they have national debate. the man is not charismatic enough

u all should not waste ur votes on people who will make promises they cannot keep. vote for a tried and tested enforcer

Disturbing Legal Facts On The Political Situation In Nigeria.

People, do not say i did not call this! obasanjo is trying to rule nigeria past 2007!!

people, if you do not know, currently on-going in nigeria is another 3rd term plot. "How?", you may ask, but here's the explanation.

the constitution, in part II, section 305 (3) a-f stipulate when the president can declare a federal state of emergency;

c) there is actual breakdown of public order and public safety in the Federation or any part thereof to such extent as to require extraordinary measures to restore peace and security;

d) there is a clear and present danger of an actual breakdown of public order and public safety in the Federation or any part thereof requiring extraordinary measures to avert such danger;

this is what is going on at the moment. a state of emergency has been/will be declared in the following states in the upcoming weeks

1. anambra
2. ekiti
3. oyo
4. plateau
5. enugu
6. rivers
7. delta
8. zamfara
9. lagos (according to reliable sources)
10. 3 or for other states

constitutionally, the president only needs 1/6 of the states [that is, just 5 states] to be in a state of emergency, for him to delcare a NATIONAL state of emergency. the implication of this is an extended tenure for the president,

people, do not say i did not call this! this man is trying to rule nigeria past 2007!!
Politics / Re: Donald Duke For 2007 Presidency? by streetcyph: 4:49pm On Nov 12, 2006
i am yet to see anyone respond to my claim,

i am in support of duke, but guys, like i said, he is a minority!

naija is not gonnna vote in a minority. the next president is from the north/south-south.

if the north gets president, duke becomes vice presidential candidate

if the south-south gets president, the north becomes vice presidential candidate

interestingly, you guys have also failed to mention one thing, who does the south-west support? in this election, whoever has the south-west support has a big swing of votes

VERY RELIABLE sources are telling me duke does not have the south-west's consensus support; they are leaning more towards a northern candidate than a southern one,

politics, very interseting

Politics / Re: More Corrupt Nigerians Should Be Arrested by streetcyph: 9:35pm On Nov 11, 2006
unfortunately, the arm of govt dat shud enforce d law is corrupt

in fact, from what we have seen in the past few months,

executive has abused power
legislators have misused privilege
judiciary has mis-interpreted the law

na wa for this country nigeria. if all these are not in place, how can one claim to practice democracy?
Politics / Re: Pat Utomi For President In 2007? by streetcyph: 9:32pm On Nov 11, 2006
utomi na my padi, but realistically, his best chance is minister of finance for now, president is a long shot, for someone with no political background,

Politics / Re: Donald Duke For 2007 Presidency? by streetcyph: 9:26pm On Nov 11, 2006
big b1,

im sorry, but ibb had his chance to make change. ironically, he did, but the change was for the worse. fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me. i remember when IBB came into power wit all his 10 point agenda and shit. everybody got excited. what happend by 1993? dele giwa, army plane crash, vatsa, devalued currency, political thuggery, manipulation, duress, oil mis-management, corruption, among other things. AND YOU TELL ME IBB is ur man? u must be related to him, because i find it hard to comprehend you.

NOW, back to donald duke. i have watchd this man for years. he is among my top 5 nigerian govt officials (dora akinluyi, femi pedro, ngozi okonjo nweala, ribadu and donald duke). we have all seen what he can do. people forget what the REAL PROBLEM IS: HE IS A MINORITY

nigeria is not yet ready for a minority president. the next president, whetther we like it or not, will come from either the north or the south-south. from what i understand, duke's camp is aware of this. they are truly vying for the vice-president slot. unfortunately, if the presidential candidate comes from south-south, then d vp will be from the north. so for duke, his best chance (and what he is banking on) is a presidential nominee from the north. someone with a solid pedigree and a clean record, we shall see in the coming weeks how things transpire.

i mean, femoo( or f.p.) has sufficient info on his site, check it out,

as far as credibility, kitaun, this man is spotless, we all saw what he did to first atlantic bank

dont understimate him, people tend to forget he came into tinubu's administration when it was at an all-time low, he saved tinubu's nyash, believe it or not,

i have nothing against fashola, but he is not tested in any field, even the SAN dat he is claiming, everybody knows tinubu bought for am, he is an errandboy, no more no less, his mandate is the same one tinubu has been parading about ; and he has not said anything substantial,

i mean when the media asked fashola why he felt was the most qualified candidate, this man said he is the fittest, he still plays soccer on the road, i mean, come on!!!!!!!
