Hi my people, Compliments of the season o. I decided to write this here for those who didnt get the mail. Now, if you're just hearing, read everything in this Nairaland post, clean up your CV, and get ready. By my last count, I think I received about 70 - 100 CVs that wanted some corrections, and there's probably an estimated 2,000 applicants who are still going to apply. Some people also met me online and we had a nice chat; To everyone of you, please I beg you in the Name of God, A job is better than NOTHING !!! At least 2,000 sack letters are entering people's pocket in many banks this 1st week of January 2010. (no be say dem tell me, u sef no say na tru.) God will help us. BACK TO THE SUBJECT: Let me quickly say this - to the best of my knowledge, there have been a few changes: 1. Candidates who are in Warri OR who can relocate to Warri on their own OR who can find a place to stay in Warri between now and January ending stand a BETTER chance than others in the FINAL INTERVIEW! 2. Last Friday meeting, the Management decided to provide accomodation for the following positions ONLY: a) Executive Marketing Officer (full) b) Creative Officer (full) c) Chief Press Operator (warehouse BQ) d) 2 Assistant Press Operators (warehouse BQ) e) Office Assistant (on arrangement basis) f) Press Assistant (on arrangement basis) I also got information on the salary range. The HR Agency I'm working with says you need to prove yourself to get the upper range of the salary. EMAIL ME. I'LL SEND YOU THE SALARY RANGE FOR THE VACANCIES That's all for now, when I have something new - I'll let you know. Wish u all a prosperous New Year. (don't waste all my talk talk o - u can see I took tym to remove all typin errors) If u get any question, ASK me now ooooo. ehen. God bless u in 2010. ur loving sisi amebo successdownload@yahoo.com |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Top Secret Human Resources Manager: Why Many Applicants Fail To Qualify? by Success101(f): 2:10am On Dec 19, 2009 |
@babyx, I think u're way ahead of these helpless folks we call "applicants" And u talk like emmm, u had it done smoothly. Mr. Michael or @hrmanger(I don't know) please i think u nid 2 speak. I dont wanna fight ur battle. The bottom line is, u and i know that the schools we have are not transferring knowledge These kids pay their way through (at least most of them do) Now to be fair, they do a lot of husslin too (signing forms, getting clearance etc) so dey're really not lazy But dat was because ITS WAS IN A SCHOOL!!! This is "THE REAL WORLD". The system aint d same, and its a complete twist Now, do you still think AN AVERAGE graduate can put up a CV that can GET HIM A JOB I know their population, so dont go there at all. With the WAY the human resources manager puts it in this thread, hasnt he opened our eyes into the process I DONT THINK I SHOULD GIVE U THE ANSWER. Think again. chao. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Top Secret Human Resources Manager: Why Many Applicants Fail To Qualify? by Success101(f): 2:10pm On Dec 17, 2009 |
Hi NLders, I think we're missing something here. I happen to be very interested in this topic for the fact that I have been through this process of applying blindly in the past. I think the basic truth is that applicants have shown a lot of carelessness on their part in the screening process. The bitter past notwithstanding, I know better now that I have a very excellent job. And you know the best part? I PLANNED my application MYSELF. I knew I would lose the opportunity and I felt sad after my days of going about with 50 CVs everyday. I feel our Nigerian graduates are not schooled very well in applying for jobs. Can you tell me who amongst us on Nairaland had enough education on "Job Application"? So u see we have to blame them really. In my opinion the 'hrmanager' is right. applicants have to come here to defend themselves that they dont need help from agencies. that's my opinion anyway Cheers |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Pls I Need Advice by Success101(f): 7:01am On Dec 11, 2009 |
Hi friend, its really up to you. Many times we dont know what God wants to do in our lives. We just have to work with faith. What if you go, and after spending a few months or let's say a year, God connects you to a bigger opportunity? And you may also be thinking that there is no future in the business, and hold back. So, you have to pray for direction. For me there is no harm in trying, as long as you are qualified for the position. I personally am on a contract that I got through a job position in Nairaland. Fortunately for me, people didnt take the post seriously because its not in Lagos. Everyone thinks that Lagos is the Las Vegas of Nigeria where everything glitters, but now I am so certain that they cant be more wrong. My pay is over N150,000, in fact, you need to see the package, and you will scream!!! God will surely show you what to do, if you rely on Him. All the best. |
Art, Graphics & Video / Re: Any School Of (where Can I Learn) Graphic In Lagos. Pls! by Success101(f): 1:35am On May 10, 2009 |
@ Roland Pet: I doubt if there are solid schools where you can learn in Nigeria. I only know SGC Nigeria in Lagos. They are an online-based Brand Cosulting firm, and they have a subgroup called TEAM, Inc. which is predominantly for undergraduates and fresh graduates in the whole of Africa who want to become professionals in Graphics, Brand Marketing, Industrial Product Packaging, Brand Strategy etc. That's the one I'm sure of oh! Not all this yeye roadside business center training with no career prospects. Just try and email them: sgc_nigeria@yahoo, com was their former contact. I don't know if they've changed it sha. YEEEEEESSSSS! Their oga is on facebook!!! Cheers! |
