But i have been trying to request for my GCMS NOTE but each time I tried click on continue where I had filled my UCI and application number it's says The format of the client identification number is invalid. Must be one of the following formats: ####-#### or ##-####-####. And I confirmed digit number was correct. I need your suggestions people's? That should be ur application number not UCI number.

How can Benin be under Abuja? My take is: mail works to British Council, 20 Thompson Ave, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Benin is under Abuja, their exam Reg is being handled by Abuja. It's there on their site.

Thanks Yooku. Very illuminating especially about the spousal work permit. Could you kindly post a link?
Thanks
I am not a guru ooo, but u said he got multiple entry visa for a month program through his company, I am thinking that's just visitor's visa and not study permit. Cos, Cic may not give you a study permit duration of 5years, when you are going for a month course which ur visitor visa can handle. Pls double check
My thoughts tho, I might be wrong .

Hello everyone. I have a marriage date issue which I am trying not to complicate but also ensure no ambiguity, so will be glad for your input.

Did religious marriage (nikah) and reception in May, few years back. There was a local newspaper notification on this (me sef tire as I see am!). I also had a Facebook events notification for friends. We were given a marriage certificate issued by an islamic organisation.

Then did marriage registry wedding in June same year. Issued Wedding Registry certificate. Spouse submitted this to IQAS for change of name proof.

1. Which date should I use in my application?
2. I am thinking of writing a LOE to explain the date chosen, is it necessary?

Thanks in advance
well, anyone can serve but I think court wedding supercedes all and internationally recognized, just remember to continue using the date u use for the verification henceforth for every other thing.

@mummygaygirl and Billy, thank you so much you have indeed helpful. And am sorry for the late update I have a very busy schedule in the place where I work presently, concerning the assumed ielt score for listening I put 8 others :7,7,7.

Additionally I don't have a master degree but am a medical Doctor with over four years of experience.

Presently am not in Nigeria, am working in Saudi Arabia, I have been there for the past 8 months.

Please if there is any other way you think I can get an additional points please let me know.

Thank you.
with this assumed score 8777,ur Crs will be very high cos u r a professional which is d same as the Masters level when calculating ur crs. I am guessing ur age isn't that high. So prep for ur ielts alongside ECA. All d best!

Yes it affects your application. You need to use the CRS tool and recalculate your points. If it falls below ITA score, then you can't apply. If you do, your application will be rejected.
Your spouse needs to get ECA and IELTS sorted.[/quoe]
I thought someone said if u get married after AOR then it doesn't affect ur score?

Good people of nairaland, I need your counsel. So I am about to start ECA for wifey. Now the issue.
1. We got married in 2014, but we later found out that the marriage certificate we were given was a Local govt own and thus we may not be able to travel with it.
2. With the new status, wifey obtained her international passport in 2015 bearing the new surname
3. In 2016 we went to Federal marriage registry Ikoyi to have a registry wedding where we got the federal certificate.
4. Now the issue is this: she has started bearing the new surname on her intl passport before the wedding date on the federal certificate.

I hope that will not cause an issue with the ECA and most importantly with the CIC application.

Pls help to dissect

cc: 40Manlappy and co
not a problem,
In my case, when I applied for study permit, my newspaper and affidavite change of name were in the previous year(cos that was when I did church) , and mi passport current year(earlier part of the year) but mi court wedding was the most recent, in fact 2wks to my application. Those were the documents I used didn't include church as I thought court supercedes that. I hope this helps!

Good morning house ....please my friend helping me with the submission of my document ask me to pay 250CAD for visa n biometric which is 71k plus and I found out from other source it is 56k please how much is it or is there extra charges again that amount to that?
it's 56k in naira if u go by paper route and pay cash, but if u submit online then it might be more than that, like in my case I use pounds to pay someone in UK did that and paying back was around 66k cos of the conversion rate then. Buh it shd be a little lower with USD rate if u can get someone to do that. Also u can conveniently open dorm account and use ur dollar card for the transaction. Again gtbank has increased their naira master card limit to 1000USD per month u can use dat if u have their card.

Check ur acceptance letter for the last date to defer, then wait till 4days and initiate deferral process.
that wasn't clearly stated. They just wrote if u r unable to make it by the start of the program one can request for deferral. Then at the end they wrote last date to register for classes is 20th Sept.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Sugaro: 8:23pm On Aug 25, 2017
I wrote to my school(department) about the state of my Trv application and to know about the grace period for resumption/ deadline for deferral should I not get a positive response from CIC, only for them to reply by asking me to let them know if I want deferral so they can start the process. I just tire shocked sad. They didn't even answer my questions, as if they just want to dash my seat to somebody . Meanwhile the recruitment coordinator says I have till 20th Sept, and referred me to them just to get this kind msg!
This ppl wan put person for confusion.

Pls can one still defer after resumption? Or u must do it before the resumption date.?

The sad bit is that masters is not open to internationally educated health professionals like doctors, nurses etc they can only opt for certificate courses, I sincerely hope they are aware, since they now see Pgd/c applicants as applicants that are not genuine. God help us all
Not entirely true, I agree that some programs are not open to international medical graduates not necessarily masters. But if u surf the net thoroughly, u definitely will find a whole lot of programs, even though they may not really be what u exactly like.

That's why upfront medical is advisable. Let's be hopeful and prayerful.

Also, You can ask your program admin for the "last resumption date". It is usually different from what is written your admission letter. When I asked my program admin about it around June, she said Sepetember 24, while 05 is when classes start.
I am compelled to think otherwise. In my own case that my upfront medicals got updated 3wks ago with eligibility review, I am yet to hear from them and with the recent trend of medical mail being almost an approval, one will wish for a request rather than the update as it gives u an insight to the outcome of one's application. #justthinkingoutloud#

First of all, I am going to put a caveat that I'm not in the medical line but from the little I know, if you want to study medicine in Canada, you will typically do your undergrad in Biology or some other medical courses (not sure if microbiology is included). While completing your undergrad, you would need to do the MCAT, which is pretty intense and apply to medical school with your MCAT score and undergrad GPA. Based on what I learnt from my friends here who are now doctors, admission to medical school in Canada requires a very high GPA (looking at 3.5/4.0 or better). Most good medical schools have an entry average GPA of 3.8/4.0. Once you get in, you spend another 4 years in medical school plus residency.
in addition, a friend told me u have to have ur PR first,u may need to do more research...

Hello bro, since the school won't waive the ESL program for you, I suggest you take another IELTS. This time strive harder to meet the requirements needed. This is a far more cost effective way of handling that, you spend about #75k which cannot be compared with 3500CAD.

Lastly, does this your uncle truly want to sponsor you? Or you just want to use his SOA to get the TRV?
My thoughts exactly, it's even 68k and I'm pretty sure u will get the targeted band with a little more input than spending so much on that ESL. Pls, reconsider ur decision

But my Dad's bank is first bank, can he transfer it to my GTBank so I do the form A from there with my Account? I hope that won't border on source of funds on my visa application ?

I don't see any problem here, just explain in ur SOP about the transfer and print ur statement as well to that effect. Someone mentioned here about itemizing this points to refer the VO to the exact page (....) No this... Guess it will be easier.
