We all know his house was ransacked and he was sent to jail after the IBb coup so why are we still pushing for what has been defeated

Education / Re: Saidat Sanni Is LAUTECH Best Student With 4.88 Cgp(pic by sulaimansly(m): 7:43pm On Apr 22, 2016
obiremy:
Miss Saidat Sanni, a 22-year-old student from the Department of Statistics had emerged the overall best student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.

Prof. Adeniyi Gbadegesin, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, announced Sanni as the overall best at its 13th Convocation held in Ogbomoso on Friday.Sanni, who hailed from Abeokuta in Ogun State, emerged after securing a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.88 to overrun Olufemi Ige of the Mathematics department, who secured a CGPA of 4.85 in the 2013/2014 session.Sanni was the best student in the 2014/2015 session before emerging the best among the 10,317 graduands, which was a combination of 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 academic sets.

In her valedictory speech, Sanni urged other graduands not to relent in the spirit of excellence, integrity and service, which had been their watchword in school.

“We are here, we made it and we did it. Nothing good comes easy.
“More challenges will come our ways, however, with endurance, perseverance, commitment, patience, hard work and steadfastness in prayers, we shall make it,’’ she said.

Speaking on her success, she said her success was hinged on the vow she made to her parents not to disappoint them.
“My father once called me to look at a story in one of the newspapers, where a lady was celebrated for being the overall best student and I vowed never to disappoint him.
Sanni, the daughter of Mr Bashir and Silifat Sanni, said that her watchword, “I can do well’’ was a driving force, adding that she was always thinking of the positive side.

“We cultivated the habit of reading from home. I initially wanted to study medicine but was admitted to study Mathematics,’’ she said.
Earlier in his speech, Prof. Gbadegesin said it was a thing of joy that the institution was still able to soar by dint of shrewd management to produce the great hope of tomorrow comparable to any standard in the world.
“in spite of the paucity of funding and the challenges of conducting credible research and other social encumbrances bedevilling the university system in general, we are resolved to turn things around for better.
“The university has reached an era of consolidation, using the gains and successes of the past as springboard for projection and advancement into the future, harnessing maximally its capacity,’’ he said.

He commended the Federal Government for its intervention projects through the NEEDS Assessment Intervention funds and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).Similarly, Gov. Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State said that it was worthy of note that despite the dwindling revenue of the two proprietors of the institution, it was still waxing stronger among its equals.
Ajimobi, who was represented by Mr Soji Eniade, the Oyo State Head of Service, assured the university that the government was not unconcerned about the welfare of staff and the students.
Prof. Wale Omole, the Pro-Chancellor, LAUTECH urged the graduands to make excellence, integrity and service their watchword as they move into the world.
Congrats to her.

But ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hamas, Boko Haram, and the cunts responsible for the Paris attacks aren't christian organizations. We don't see christians, hindus, buddhists, or atheists beheading those who disagree with them, do we? Seriously you so-called 'moderate muslims' should spend more time taking a stand against these extremists instead of trying to justify violence by showing how other religions are bad.
there is beheading, decapitation, cannibalism and massacre of Muslims continuously going on in central Africa republic(c.a.r), india, Myanmar, but to mention a few.

hmmm, suicide attacks, his not new in warfare.
technically the united state military glorify acts of galore wen a soldier gives up his life(unwillingly if he has a choice) to achieve a designated aim, same with the chinese and russian.
most important was the japanese kamakaze used towards the end of worldwar2 has the u.s forces was getting close to there mainland.
it was these very strange actions of self destruction(to the americans it was wierd n strange that someone wuld willingly want to die, like ram) that motivated a tamil tiger(sri lanka) militant to create the very first modern weapon of suicide destruction.
To him it was cheaper and highly efficient, with a sense of fear instigated into the civilian population.
also using these suicide attacks, a psychological warfare is initiated that draws more tamils(or moslems) into the world of 'terror'.

Lol...I wrote UME when calculators were forbidden and you'd be sent out if seen with one. Despite that challenge, I still wrote phy, maths and chem as an engr student and got my preferred school and course. Now JAMB even gives you a calculator and asks you to just manage and get 50% and its looking like an impossible task to you. Stay there and be calling me 'mate'.

Oh shut it already! Universities train teachers and award Bsc in Education; Colleges of Edu award NCE and no one will offer you an employment into schools with an NCE certificate, I won't even let you teach my enemies with such a certificate. Teachers have a degree from a university, unless you want to teach nursery and pre-nursery students.
i wrote the previous comment on a day, i resumed a new job, was exhausted, smiles.
My use of terrible n bad combination of words surpised me.
I dont know, if u have worked or have any experience watsoever but ur bsc or btech or b.edu, isnt much with d labor market, without solid content innate wit u.

Also like sum1 said early, moslems will not welcome a Christian as an Islamic scholar.I didn't want to say much cos I had read some wise comments already daz y i didn't bother to drop mine.
I Neva fit study my own Bible finish na to com study Islam....shuoooooo! who e help!
its to be studied as an expert on dat subject matter not to be read when ur spiritual level fluctuatates n u need God or anyoda enitity in ur life, to make u feel good.
Religion / Re: As A Devoted Christian Should She Study Islamic Studies In The University? by sulaimansly(m): 3:57pm On Sep 13, 2015
nigerian youth are so naive, studying a course is not equivalent to believe.
The best islamic professors in the west r either atheist or "westernized" christians, who learn islam with a passion unlike dat of most of its hardline followers. If she chooses to learn about islamic studies, there r jobs for her, in analysis, religious affairs, teaching, n lots more , particularly with these global "war on terror".
There is tons she can do, if i have such an offer i wuld ave done it myself but i never did.
And with de stupid comments on conversion, nobody was born a muslim nor christian, so changing shldnt be anymore of a fuss than necessary.
Thank you

Nah, you don't need to study: college of edu will admit you despite the glaring deficiencies. Its a place they train classroom teachers, and since Insurance isn't thought at secondary schools, they moved you to physics already. Just inform them you don't know jack in physics and they will move you to Social Studies Edu which suits you better.

Thank me later.
you dont anytin at all, calling college of education aspirants or dos posted dere as dullards, i think its highly insulting on teaching who taught u, ur parents who paid dem, teaching is a great job.
Such a career shldnt be forced on anyone, as they say the reward of teachers is in the success of there pupils, u r not a good product of any teaching., for ur remarks so far.
