Okay. Let me continue the story grin

Once it's 12pm, I go find a place to sleep. The reason is because that is not a peak period on this job. People are at work, Oloshos are resting for night duty, students are still in classes......So it's only grace that you'll see sweet trips then

But from 3pm upwards(Depending on your location), you're likely to see good trips.

So if you can be working from 12pm, to 8pm, then it's absolutely fine. As long as it's a side hustle

thank you bro! but pls i will like to know, base on your experience... could you pls give me some locations that really peaks that i am likely to be seeing good trips here in lag.

Driving on Uber is a job that will require your strength and time. Because of the city we live in, and the rates charged, you'll need to spend more time behind the wheels to meet your target

And I know you'll be thinking; But I said 6 to 7 hours na grin

Yes, I read that. But getting trips and making profits are relative here. Let me share a short story with you

When I was driving, I start my day by 4:30am to 5am. I try to gross 5k before 9am and then gross another 5k by 1pm. Of which 65% of the time, i do realize that
Now, that 6 to 7 hours already.

Now, after making 10,000 in 6 hours

Bolt's commission is 20% of that(It was 15% then) = 2000

Fuelling (A corolla should yield 4 times of the fuel cost)= 2500.

Let's assume there was nothing to spend on throughout that 7 hours.

Now, your net profit is 5500.

So sir, would you drive from 5am to 1pm and be satisfied with 5,500? grin

lol. Thanks.. I really appreciate that. I really can't drive from 5am - 1pm, as i will leave my I.T class around 11:30am . but i can start drivig from 12pm - 8pm in the eve.

You keep talking about profits and profits

Sincerely, my friend, you'll be disappointed. Not because there is no profit, but because your expectations sounds so high(or has this touch of impatience and urgency)

My advise? Invest in something else

not like that! i also have other things that am doing... I am also a programmer (still learning though), and that why i want a kind of job that i will do after coding hours just to be sustaining until i finish my program.

I was working full-time before i resigned because of the I.T program that am doing, as i believe that i wont be able to run my full time job with my prefared career. i just want to be doing the uber job as a side hustle.

For the guy above me, Uber business is not that bad once u drive ur own car. Driving for 6 to 7 hours daily u should be expecting like 4 to 6k daily. B4 u can make money u need drive for 12 hours atleast. Why don’t u try dru23 instead of Corolla. U will get it cheaper for a tokunbo than a Corolla.

thanks bro, but which car is dru23. have not heard of that before, which brand is that??

You are already thinking of the money you will realize every month grin

That, my friend, is not a good way to plan cool

xDD.. lol I just have to know if its best for me. because a guy once told me that the rate of the percentage uber do cut every week makes the business not profitable... I just want to know so I won't have to waste my money on a non-profitable biz

I need 10 drivers who have active Uber accounts and profiles for immediate employment. They must have a rating of minimum 4.4 and be ready to start working immediately. I pay 20% of net income, 100% performance bonus and additional N20,000 to high fliers (minimum NN150,000 per week gross earnings. You can send a mail to UberLagosSpectre@gmail.com and UberLagosSpectre@yahoo.com.

Hello Guys! my name is Fuhad, I guess being in the right thread... I want to start a Uber business, thinking of buying a Toyota Corolla 2005 or 2006 model and start driving as a Uber driver immediately after this trying time is gone.

I have been hearing a lot about uber business but not from the people that are doing it. I really want facts and that's why I decided to join this thread.

I am looking for a car to buy already and the cheapest tokunbo Toyota corolla 2005 car that have seen so far is #1.5m. I just want to know if this business really pays, how much can I be realizing every month after Uber commissions , and fuel. and I also heard that uber gives their drivers a maximum time to work in every 24hours. I am looking forward to be doing this for around 6 - 7 hours every day.

please I need you all to comment on this. I am a novice that just want to know how it works before I jump into it. I had jumped into a business once which I regretted, don't want such to repeat itself again.

thank you all.
