No you don't need to renew it since expiration date is more than 6 month.

Please advice I was in the US for ten days the No aos, cos, eos annotation was put on my passport with a two weeks stay. it was my first time to the us the CBP officers delayed me for hours asked me tons and tons of questions which I answered to the best of my ability and some of the questions I fumbled though I was nervous anxious and intimidated by the CBP officers I tried my best to remain composed they made me sign a consent form for drugs testing which I signed willingly but the  test were not done and after calling my contact person in the us I was told I can go after changing the time I'm permitted to stay in the us from six months to two weeks with the annotation no aos, cos, eos, put my passport on my way back home I was questioned again (though other people too were questioned while we were boarding) as i was  told I could go the officer who put the annotation on my passport walked to my front and asked me where I went in the us which I answered and a few other questions when I answered he then smiled and said I could go that he will be expecting me back that he will be watching me when next I visit the us, to cut the long story short it was a horrible experience I left on the exact date my holiday ended I didn't over stay my question is if I decide to visit again will I have to go through the same horrifying  experience and what are the effects of the annotation on my next visit which is in a year or more than a year's time and lastly I have plans to visit Japan or the uk soon on an official trip from the office, will the annotation bar me from getting the visas to UK and japan?‎

Please advice accordingly all the gurus in the house thanks‎
Don't be scared, you will be fine next time you are going in since you never overstayed. I was stopped before at Philadelphia Airport, they delayed me for over 2 hours. At the end, they asked me to pay $200 or my undeclared item seized. That period I stayed in US for 94 days before I traveled back to Nigeria. 7 months later I passed through that point of entry without any problem.

Hi everyone
Pls when is the best time for me to apply for visa if i want to travel middle of January?

Also, i was in the US for 5 months this year on a visit visa (i can work from anywhere in the world) At POE in the US i said i was staying for 2 weeks and ended up staying for 5 months (very long story) Please do you think this would affect my application?

I still have a valid US visa and i have been to the UK and UAE for travel history
That doesn't affect your application because you did not overstay. To overstay your US visa means you stay for over 6 months.
Note: You can apply for Canada visa while in US for a visit.

@travelpoint.

Technically, visa officer officers are not really bothered about applicants closing balance, but history of the account (in flow, out flow, salaries and wages) are all taken into consideration which can also reflects the true financial status of applicants.

Since you're travelling together and you are also responsible for his hotel and feeding during your visit, you should use caution when filling the visa form.

For your Nephew, The cost of accommodation and the cost of living expenses should both be £0

Then for this question "Is someone other than you paying for all or part of your trip" Yes

Please select what the relationship is of the person who is contributing to the payment for your trip: Uncle or Aunt.

How much will they be paying towards your trip: (calculate the cost of accommodation and his feeding" but if you're staying together, make sure the hotel is suitable for two or more persons, then attach the booking confirmation.

And for this question "Explain why they are paying towards the cost of the trip" the onus is on you to convince the ECO why you are sponsoring him to the UK for holidays.

Another question "What is the total amount in GBP" do the calculation yourself, accommodation + feeding.

Having said all the above, the ECO might still have doubt why you have to sponsor your nephew to the UK on holidays.

To submit his application, you'll also provide some relevant documents e.g. employment, statement of account, letter to ECO explaining why you are paying for his accommodation and feeding.
I have all the documents, ( employement letter, statement of account, work ID,my passport page, payslips). The problem am having now is that I don't know what to write to convince the ECO. As for me, am going there to celebrate Easter and he wants to follow me. Master pls can you think of any thing. I don't need visa for myself.

Gurus in the house pls help me out on this.
I will be traveling to UK this coming March for 10 day vacation. I have been to uk many times. My nephew wants to travel with me. He hasn't travel out of the country before. He has a job, the statement of account showing almost 700k. I will be responsible for hotel accommodation and feeding for both of us while in UK. He will buy his own ticket.

What documents do I need to give to him to support his visa application? Also do I need to write any letter.
Since you are partly supporting him. I think you will give him document concerning your work or business, your statement of account too.

Hi guys, my sister applied for a UK visa and got a message saying that a decision had been made last Friday. However, she requested for her documents to be sent by courier and it had been one week now, and she has not received her passport back yet. And she submitted her documents in person at VI. How can she chase this up? Who does she contact? I'm worried that her passport might have been stolen by the courier. Is this a possibility? Why won't they communicate? Argh!
Your sister received email message that decision had been made not a message that the passport is ready for collection. TLScontact can only mail it out if the passport is ready for collection. Track the application and see.

She wasnt doing anyfn special...the truth is she decided not to return initially but changed her mind and came...
Story:
'she lost her handbag that contains her passport but a good Samaritan fond it but unfortunate for her that good Samaritan couldnt return de passport early as expected bcoz that good Samaritan has some issues beyond her control, she didnt inform the police because she already knows where the passport and other documents was..Bcoz she cant travel without her passport she explained the situation to her employers and because she has serve the company for more than 10yrs the company granted her further leave without pay to solve the problem. and during all these period in the UK she was been supported by her auntie who invited her to the UK.
Tell me this story is not true. No one including you will believe this super story, it doesn't add up. She overstayed simple as ABC, the rest is story.

@justwise When is the last day one can enter UK if for example your most recent visa expires on 31st December, thanks for reply
You can travel at any time but you must be able to convince them at point of entry that you will leave the country before the visa expires. That is risky, I will not do that. Apply for new visa.

I finally got a mail a day after the graduation ceremony I was suppose to attend saying my passport is ready for pickup but am yet to do so. Even if it's a denial, I ought to have been contacted before the ceremony. I will go pick it up whenever I am chanced as I'm not in Lagos right now. Its quite unfortunate they had to behave so unprofessional
Too bad. My wife passport is not ready for pickup yet. She got email that decision have been made on November 12th but up till now no other information yet

@salsa. I actually said post 1983. My Nigerian passport has always said born in the UK and I've used those details to travel to a few other country's. Even though I have both my birth cerificates, I've never been crazy about relocating from Nigeria. Am a proud Nigerian and am quite comfortable here. It would be pathetic if being born in thr UK would reduce my chances for a visa. I just never saw any reason why I should lie about my place of birth and am only applying for a UK visa now because its work related.
If you born in UK, you don't need a visa to travel to UK. What you need is your original birth certificate. With your original birth certificate, you can apply for your passport here in Nigeria through British embassy.
Unless your birth place is Nigeria, UK embassy will not give u visa because you are UK citizen. Visa is for foreigners.
