Lagos generally expedites cases only for genuine emergencies, so while you're free to ask, the answer is likely to be no.

NO shocked

NO he was in the US army but went for peace mission and was shot, now he's depressed and has been undergoing treatment for years now, the injury has caused him depression, migraine headache and he's in rehab now and you are saying no?
please don't make me cry.

Often NVC says that a case is "at post" when it's actually "on its way to post." And we often say "It's still at NVC" when what we should say is "It's not here yet." So it's probably in transit.

I apologize for the rudeness... thank you for the reminder of how important customer service is.

thanks a lot dear VO.
now that our case is on transit, my husband has also applied for expedition, do you think that's a good move?

If your case is complete, it'll join the queue to be scheduled for the next available appointment date. I believe September scheduling is finished (but I'm not in the field at the moment, so I can't say that for sure). NVC should be looking at October and maybe even November by now. Good luck!

thanks for your quick response, I really appreciate it.
yesterday my husband called nvc and he was told that our case is in Lagos, I checked the case status but it's still showing "AT NVC" .
I called Lagos but a rude lady shouted at me that I should email my complain.
now I don't know what to do.

Your priority date is the date that your petition was filed with USCIS. But as an IR2, you don't need to worry about your priority date. As soon as your petition is approved and your case is documentarily complete, it will be scheduled for the next available interview. Immediate Relative (IR) cases are always current -- no waiting period.

NVC hasn't sent us all their August cases yet -- but, that said, I doubt they will send us very many more at this point. We still have openings in September, but it depends how many cases are in NVC's queue...
