Someone mentioned to me that I don’t need passport photographs for family application in the new portal. Is this correct? I haven’t filled the form yet and I can’t find this information online. I am trying to gather all documents before I proceed.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by superdoll: 12:09am On Jun 25, 2022
ShowYoung:

No, you should include an affidavit.

Okay. Thanks a lot.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by superdoll: 12:02am On Jun 25, 2022
ShowYoung:

The person mentioned a "letter" and not an "affidavit".

Normally, an affidavit will accompany a letter.

For you to call a document an affidavit, it means their is an oath notarized by either a commissioner for oaths or notary public.

Commissioner for oaths are also notary public who notarizes an affidavit or declaration.

Thanks for responding. I guess I confused you a bit. My question is the sponsorship letter can be used without any of the above. Just a signed letter by my spouse.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by superdoll: 11:45pm On Jun 24, 2022
ShowYoung:

Not necessary.

Hello, please does it mean if one’s spouse writes a letter of sponsorship. Affidavit of sponsorship and notarizing isn’t necessary. The signed letter alone is enough.

If it's your VERY first application to canada you do not have a UCI leave it blank you'll get one after submission

Thanks for responding. It’s a compulsory field to fill. That why I got confused.
Or is it possible that I chose a wrong option for the open work study eligibility. I will appreciate help anyone that has done this before. Thanks you!

Please I need more help. For my kids applications still (group application). Do I select yes for representative information and put my details there. Also the question about how much money do you have for stay in canada. Should I also put the total amount of money in my account that I put in my own application for all my kids or am I supposed to split it up. Thank you guys.

Gurus in the house, please I need some help with family visa application. I am applying as a group and I found out that while filling up information for my kids it’s asking me for my Parent UCI number. I haven’t even submitted my application because I am applying as a group for the whole family. What do I put in that column. Or is there something I am not getting right. Meanwhile I chose open student permit for the kids.

I am trying to send in an application using the new portal as a group (study permit for me and kids and then visitors visa for hubby). It’s asking me for invitation letter for hubby (his own is visit visa). We don’t have any. What do I do.

Seniors please i need advice, I plan soft landing in dec to spend about 7weeks. Family of 6 which include a 5months old and a 2 yrs old. I am looking at getting a double stroller from here(i got a fair deal) to use for the 2 youngest kids. but I was thinking since its winter, will I really be needing it? How is movement with kids in winter? I am really indecisive as I dont want to waste money on something if it wont be useful.

The post visit you had could be the bill they called for, because u have few days to stay in US, pls make sure u call them back and let they know you need the bill urgently so that you can make payment, before you pay make sure you know what you are paying for..

I had a similar case in 2015, but in my case the service was free cos I was bleeding from the incision, I was not reopened but one stitch was opened and I kept dressing it for a month myself, my mum helped me most of the time.. When the bleeding started I noticed it was dark red so I know it was not life threatening, when I got to the Doc office, my 1st question was will I pay for this service, off course they knew what the implications were so I was told it was free till it heals but I only went that once n continued to dress it at home...the blood was accumulated blood behind my skin layer....

OK. Thanks alot . I will definitely follow up wt dem tomorrow. I asked and was told it was in office test and wont be charged. However i will sort it out tmoro.

[quote author=Abiodunnn post=68582811]10 days inclusive of weekends. But if you are really in a hurry, you can discuss with the representative that will bring the form that is if you havent given birth yet.
I think its possible to expedite it immediately after you have your child.
I intended to pick up before but when i calculated my uber money i decided to do next day delivery which costs $75. $30 delivery takes about 4 weeks or so.
So i think you can get it earlier if you indicate the option of expedited BC right from the hospital.

quote author=superdoll post=68557152]

Thank you so much @abiodunnn for taking out time to explain this to me. I will surely explore the option u adviced as i am yet to give birth. God bless u

Abiodunnn:
As for me it was after 10 days i requested for a next day delivery of the birth certificate via their website. The website is at the back of the copy of the BC form given to you at the hospital. Its $75 and will require you to book with a credit card and the scanned copy of your passport data page.

Oh ok. Makes sense to me now. Many thanks for this. Pls was it 10days from delivery day or 10 days after discharge? Also was it 10 working days or 10 calendar days? Sorry about my plenty questions please, am jst trying to plan myself. Thank you

they dont expedite birth certificate to the best of my knowledge. it can be ready for pick up in 7-10days i will just advice u book appointment for the US passport so u can get it sorted out as soon as u pick up birth certificate.

Oh ! I learnt it takes atlleast 2 weeks for it to be ready. And i read @chinemeze17 post where she said she used expedited service for $75 and recieved it same day. She has not been replying though.
Please @chinemeze17 if are reading this kindly shed more light

Do i need to notify the embassy that i want to re-use the visa for same purpose again. Or i shuld jst travel. Am using Houston poe (i used same last yr and was asked what i came for, i told d cbp officer childbirth and he confirmed on their system and let me go advicing me to pay all my bill)

No, it doesn't work anymore. You must now notarize at the embassy If your spouse is not present in the US, so book an appointment early so you ywont get a date close to when you'd be traveling

Thanks alot for this info. I guess i will have to book even before baby's arrival. Please how do i do the booking

That is the new rate but it includes the refundable epidural fee, labs and hearing test I heard. It is always better to verify from your OB doctor who will furnish you with the right information.

You are correct. I jst got their bill from my obgyn. Though it didnt state if epidural fee is refundable. But all u stated above are included.

Hello everyone, i got medical visa for childbirth in 2016 and used it same year for said purpose. I am preggy again and want to use same visa since its still valid. Hope i am not going against the law. Also do i need to notify the consular of my intention to reuse visa for childbirth.
