hahaha the teams you couldnt beat at home (sierra leone, car, cape verde ) are they better than ghana ? And you want to do what ? Win ? Lool lower your expectations coz your team is prone to disappointment

So much confidence for a team that failed to record a win in their last 5 matches!!!

Ghana 0 : 3 Algeria
Ghana 0 : 1 Morocco
Ghana 1 : 1 Gabon
Ghana 2 : 3 Comoros
Ghana 0 : 0 Nigeria

Ghana have failed to record a single win in their last 5 matches!!!
Bros, forget Qatar!!!

Here’s what I just posted on Twitter:

Quick question for @thenff and @PinnickAmaju: can Eguaveon be taken off this team before the return leg on Tuesday? Hand the team over to Amuneke and Samson Siasia to complete the job.

That’ll be the best decision for us, if we really want to win on Tuesday.

O pari

ThankGod you are not the one making decisions for us o
You own worse abeg!!!
U want sack coach 4 days to a crucial game like this
That Ghana stadium was suppose to hold 40k fans @ maximum, but Ghana FA allowed 70k fans just to create a hostile atmosphere for us!
Take it or leave it, we did well!!!
Italy lost yesterday to a less fancy team!
Even Rohr's team that defied the odds back in 2018 did not win Cameroon away (1:1) and still could not beat Algeria away (1:1) before FIFA awarded 3:0 last, last.
The boys try abeg!!!
And this Amunike you're banking on, I hope it's not based on his under 17 exploits Because we all know that if caf did not increase the nations from 16-24 he will not have qualified his team to nations cup. He did not win his group! He qualified as runners up!!!

Do you know that Ghana is ranked as slight favourites to win the first leg of the playoffs. I looked at our defense line and all I could see is mediocrity. None of the defenders have played active football in the last 2months for their club sides except Calvin bassey (who would most likely would be benched), and Sanusi. Are players like abdullahi shehu, balogun, ekong, with unfit omeruoand match rusty etebo the most in-form footballers Nigeria can come up with? Now the only player close to world class in our squad Ndidi is out. I hope people won't be disappointed after the game

I thought u were going to drop the names of the world class defenders the coaches failed to invite!!!
Instead of making empty noise!!!

I just found out that Ghanaian coach addo
Iwas a former assistant coach of Hamburg and borrusia Dortmund, now teaming up with Chris hughton to try to secure Ghana's ticket to the world cup. Somehow, I feel this match will be decided more by the tactical experience of the coaching crew than on the talents on the pitch.

But I which clueless eguavaon good luck

"Clueless Eguavaon"
Firstly, it's unfair to use abusive words on him.
Secondly, this thread was originally created for super eagles supporters! If anyone has any agenda contrary to supporting the eagles; the person will do well to use his or her Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram etc to tell the world that Ghana will beat us 10-0

When Rohr wasn’t talking, you guys claimed that he is too boring, dry, quiet and meek. Now, you’re claiming that Eguavoen is talking too much. Nigerian fans talk too much abegi

I must say, we don't even know what we want!
Some fans (especially here in Nairaland) have given up on the team handlers because of the Tunisian game!
Yet they worshipped Pep and klop who do lost too to relegation struggling teams!!

We can only predict the future based on the past until it proves otherwise. I believe we would have topped our group.

We would would have defeated Tunisia based on what I saw Burkina Faso do to them..

Rohr would have had different players to start with anyway. Rohr does not field players based on how they're performing in Europe. He fields players based on how they perform in the Super Eagles. From his long experience with the team, he can tell quickly whether a player brings something to the table or not.

So many variables to count.

Sir, The same Rohr could not top a less competitive group in 2019 with a more complete squad in terms of talents.

He lost 2:0 to a debuting Burundi team!!
The later days of Rohr are tasteless!
It got to a point where fans no longer celebrate super eagle's win due to the most boring and unattractive style of play.
Honestly, football is more than just winning...
Rohr didn't lost matches.
In fact, he wasn't sacked because he lost matches, he was sacked for playing UNATTRACTIVE style of football.
Football is more than just WINNING!
& Eguaveon has shown glimpse of that which we have so much craved for, and like every other Nigerian out there, I say He deserve another chance!!!

Looking at how this afcon has played out so far, I have the feeling that Rohr would have taken us to the final with his conservative style of football.
I enjoyed our style of play during the afcon but we were not ripe enough for that approach, got carried away with initial success and threw caution away.
How we outplayed the Tunisians even with a man down showed our superior quality. with a more careful approach, I feel we would have dispatched them. Two major events in the game prove my point;
1. Ola Aina was in a better position to intercept that long pass to the scorer or at least maintain position to prevent the player going on a run with the ball. Awaziem or even Shehu would have done better in that instance.
2. Iwobi received a simple pass, ball was under his control and in a split second he lost connection with the ball and desperately lounged into a bad tackle.
Lastly, the fact that we lacked clinical finishers and good goalkeepers should have made us more careful.

If Rohr was in charge, we would have lost to Egypt and struggled the second spot with Guinea B.
The Rohr I saw during the Qualifiers, has got absolutely nothing more to offer.
Man would be losing at home to the likes of C.A.R, and co.

Let him go jare...

I wonder o!
Moses' "Dribble Attempts" were not even up to 19!!! Wondered how HE would have lost possession 19 times!!!
Dude was even successful in most of his dribble attempts.

when I said the difference between this match and the previous one is Balogun, I was almost stone to death.

We scored Seychelles 3 and we were singing our players to high heaven and excusing them for poor performance attributing it to the poor pitch wasn't it the same pitch Libya walloped them by 7 good goals?

One thing is very sure. These boys won't realise their potential under Rohr's tutelage.

The same Libya we beat home and away?
This is the first time in a very, very long time that Super eagles now qualify for tournaments without Nigerians praying for one team to lost, draw or get banned if possible, for us to qualify...

But Ebuehi is too soft na. Na achebo him be. Him resemble person way breeze go blow. Shehu is strong and understands the African game.
Shehu is our best rb. It doesn't matter if Ebuehi played well. He didn't play well against Serbia. Injury is not an excuse.
Rohr will RIGHTLY start Shehu in the WC because Ebuehi is weak. Na technical ability we go chop??

Ighalo of course has been better. Look at the goal he scored against Cameroon for example- overpowering and outsmarting his marker with that move. I don't think Nacho would have scored if it was him. Ighalo has been a better CF.

Ehe complete the analysis for us na bro. How many matches has Ighalo played for super eagles & how many goals scored? And then bring Nacho own make we see...

i'm an ardent super eagles follower and watched all the matches during the qualifiers. mikel did perfectly well playing the number 10 role against African opposition but can he do better against world class teams with better midfielders? we all will see the best of john obi mikel if deployed as a central midfielder. having obi playing centrally in the middle with alex given the license to roam around will be of huge benefit to the team whereas the duo will create lots of chances for the forwards to score.when the team is on pressure mikel's experience and style of play in the central midfield position will calm things down

Go back and watch Nigeria vs Spain 2013 Fifa conf. Cup. That match is now popularly known as "Mikel vs Spain"

A few weeks back, i was watching Tunisia 94 final against Zambia and i was reminded of how frustrating Okocha used to be. misplaced passes, over dribbling, wasted shots.

He is a Nigerian legend now but when he was young, he was not consistent. He became more consistent as he grew older.
