Politics / Re: 2027 Election Will Be Nigerians Vs. APC, Says Governor Makinde by surgical: 6:59pm
JagabanB:

But u want someone who swore never to leave Apuga?
He's actually a better leader than Lienus Obi but u prefer Lienus because of tribe, that does not change the fact that they are both stuuuupid leaders tho.
you know I feel so sad about this tribal thing going on in the country it will never be beneficial to us as a country but to the unfeeling politicians who started thus APC especially , I am a yoruba person,I can't hate on anybody because someone wants me to, except I have a personal encounter
It is not in our interest not to love one another there can not be progress without unity ,These politicians dividing us are our enemy
At least it is clear that apart from their friends and family, no tribe benefits more because his tribes man is president
I am yoruba I know of my uncle who has lost millions since Tinubu became president and he voted and supported Tinubu with all he had ,he did because Tinubu is yoruba,he does not know him personally
We gain nothing being tribalistic
We are better off ,if we have the best man for the job,it's results that we need, irrespective of tribe
Politics / Re: Vigils: Evangelist Mike Bamiloye’s Son Slams Peter Obi Over His Comments by surgical: 3:40pm
Throwback:
Obi's last stronghold has collapsed.

When next he takes his politics to church and night vigils, he would be flogged like Jesus Christ flogged those who turned the temple to a trading place.

The religious warfare politician suddenly realises that Politics and Church should not be mixed together?

The hypocrisy is very ironic.
He has seen in reality that the church is insignificant in wining elections in Nigeria, if they can back a Muslim Muslim ticket ,he doesn't need them as a segment but he needs to appeal to a wider audience

So it's now only the Igbos that don't agree with APC ?? Government

Are you this daft ?
I am so disappointed in you, so you don't know All this while that ,that daftness is the perquisites to be a member or supporters of APC
From today try and observe any daft person in your area, check out the political party he/she belongs to 9 out of ten it is APC
Why do think the country is upside down its because APC is in power, they don't have the materials to do the job
A job that requires more than propaganda ,lies ,thuggery ,apc can not succeed there

LOL.
Seyi is a million times a better option than Obi and Atiku.
dey play, nobody wants someone who betrayed his party for a port of porridge
He is self centred, he is talking like this because he is positioning himself after helping to install T-PAIN, he is not different from Tinubu that help install buhari so he can personally benefit, we won't fall for his gimmick

He worked for tinubu during last presidential election
you are right that should be the slogan to galvanise the people against the apc,by so doing their vote buying will not work even their thugs will desert them for the fear of the people
Even inec will not want to commit suicide by rigging elections
But seyi should not be the arrow head ,he can not be trusted

Eriokanmi:
Don't worry. Tinubu will see votes from same sore losers in 2027. In case you have suddenly forgotten, those arrested were mainly northern youths, same people whom they always used to vote in the north. The north is patiently waiting for him.
when he did not have directly, the army the police, the judiciary and the inec, he was able to install himself, is it now that everyone of them are effectively in his pocket you want to vote him out, dey play
Anyone that needs people to ascend or remain in power ,will not behave recklessly the way Tinubu is behaving, he thinks he is all sufficient
But in all this I blame the people

Electoral bandits.

Politics / Re: Nigeria’s Inflation Made Worse By Import Dependency, Informal Economy — Edun by surgical: 8:48am On Nov 01
Efewestern:

Economies work by solely depending on importation? Tell just one country that excels by importing just everything. Just tell me one.

This was the same mistake Venezuela made that contributed to the crash of the economy. They sold crude just like us and imported just everything, like we are doing. From food to drugs, to tech, to wears and textiles. Everything was imported... Because we have people like you who say, oh well, let's import everything because we don't have to brains to build and grow an economy organically.

Even before the US sanctions on Venezuela, the economy was already crumbling. There's no magic out of this mess. Either we become productive or we crumble as a race.

Life isn't for the weak and if we as blacks can't take the painstaking journey towards industrialization. Then we will continue to deal with poverty.
what is your government doing about it, nothing ,everybody knows the country benefits more ,when you export more than you import
But this government has failed on all grounds, its not expanding production to be able to export ,it has no alternative to products being imported ,only compounded the problem of importation which all his predecessors manage far better than him
He and his staff is story upon stories every day
Look at his minister just realising after being appointed a minister that importation impacts the economy

Yeah, but it is not the four we had in 2016...or was it even five self.
with benefits of hindsight, that was a better strategy, than what is adopted now, that was management in action, but what we have now is a abidication called market forces, the result has been disastrous, no sensible country leaves its economy to total market forces
At least those voodoo economist have practicalised their hypothesis now ,they should review the results and make amends

It is the people in power that is under scrutiny now, when it's get to the people you are talking about, they will also collect if they can't deliver, let's stay on the topic, especially when the performance or lack of it has no effect on if Cardoso will perform, it is based on the his policy choices

nairalanda1:
Yep, we were

1. Massive borrowing to defend the naira , pay for subsides, etc...(which Cardoso continues, by the way, so he ain't innocent)

2. Printing and more printing of money (which Cardoso's boss once advocated actively).

3. Not diversifying the economy (which APC Has not done since 2015, despite the flowery speeches given)

4. Multiple exchange rates...which ended only because the money to pay for it had literally run out since 2022, not because APC wanted to stop it.
the exchange rate is still multiple, we have more than one, what is benefits of this strategy in particular, there is non, more than removal of fuel subsidy, this is the major factor in the ruin of the economy

Toh
Experience has shown that this statement does not apply to Nigerians, after what they went through with buhari, who would have thought they will entertain any product from the buhari people not to talk of even electing such but Nigerians surprised us,look at the edo elections ,Nigerians elected someone who dodge interviews throughout, evaded opportunities to address the people about his plans, the only time he did he promised the people insecurity and still they elected him,in summary what Kperogi is saying that Nigerians are not capable of making rational decisions when it comes to electing leader, that they will always elect leaders that are worse than the previous
