Well, energy independent is all about personally satisfaction. If you have the fund and you're not on budget go for it but if you're on budget, go for 5kva inverter and 15kwh lifepo4 battery with sufficient pv and reduce the running time of the AC especially at night.
Someone posted here few months back that 1hp inverter AC consume about 487w. Running two at the same time will consume 974w, freezer might be 150w, fridge might be 110w, iron might be 1200w... Total 2,434w. Sufficient pv will take care of this during the day and charge your battery to float. You may also choose to alternative other appliances like pumping machine and washing machine.
Switch off the freezer in the evening when the sun is off and by this time, things has already blocked inside. You may allow the two ACs to run on battery for 9hours at night (8,766wh).
I'll advise you go for standalone floodlights and do not attach them to your system. I've 8 standalone floodlights in my compound running for two years now. They are all in sensor mode, turned on at night by itself and turned off when day break.
If you still need a bigger system, 8kw deye inverter might be a good option with 28kwh lifepo4 battery and corresponding pv.
Our big boys will advise better.

I'm sure your plan has exceeded two units of 1hp otherwise 5kva inverter would've taken care of it but for the sake of people like us who may have an intention of powering our ACs with solar too, I'll like to know the two AC horse power you intend to power with 10kva inverter sir.

Electricity Power supply systems in Nigeria has never been in existence before the existence of private properties .
A country of over 200 Million population generating Transmitting and distributing less than 5000 Mw ( See Oshogbo National Control Center ) instead of more than 200,000Mw.. The answer is in the environment. Generators eat profits and kill jobs. Money meant for profit is going to buy diesel , fuel and maintenance. Many cooperations are itching to invest in Nigeria and they can provide very good paying jobs. But when light is erratic and roads are not very good, it is very hard to make a profit.
We have skilled labour in Nigeria who are migrating for other nations that need workers.
Fortunately Thank God that the recent bill that passed where each state can produce its electricity. I belief this is good start in helping lowering the high rate of unemployment.

I am so moved by the solidarity and camaraderie on this thread. After reading through this ENTIRE thread, I identified common problems and questions. Many people either have questions on system sizing (what size solar system they need) and/ or what/ where they can find good quality, reliable equipment (whether importing directing from China or sourcing locally from Nigeria).

I have noticed that some people share their system sizing and where to find their equipment, but it can be quite intense reading through this entire thread to find an answer (it took me weeks to do so).

So, I will be starting an easy to follow guide that automatically calculates the size of solar system you need (this is called system sizing) and direct people to equipment they can purchase based on their budget and location. Later on, I will allow people who purchased the equipment to give updates/ opinions on the equipment (providing more information to other Nigerians trying to DIY their solar system).
