medical post graduate schools, they have their prerequisite and it will remain in medical field. if MBBS equals PhD as portrayed by someone here why having a medical postgraduate school for medical students interested in lecturing and research? in the postgraduate school they also run MSc programs that are strictly for medical students. I'm not in the medical field so I know nothing about fellowship , if its same as PhD then it will be miles ahead of MBBS

Of course nobody can lecture outside ones field except with a masters and PhD including doctors e.g. an mbbs holder will need masters if he/she is diversifying into non medical fields e.g. the physical sciences .

Mbbs holders on the other hand can lecture in universities with only mbbs degree. No other first degree holders have that privilege.

don't say what you don't know, so many first class B.sc graduates are graduate assistants, MBBS holders are not privileged. you are overrating your position in the society.

Mbbs has always been more rigorous than PhD .
Calculating the exact time spent unit by unit, mbbs is more exerting.

That's why mbbs graduates do lecture students without the requirements of masters and PhD

remember MBBS needs a master degree to qualify for PhD, he can only lecture in medical fields, so a B.Sc graduate can also lecture without M.sc or PhD in his/ field .

Take correction na, so you mean somebody who had OND in agric is same with M.Sc in agric after an upgrade? we must not politicise everything, you mean schools awarding diplomat should be undergoing M.Sc curriculum for a potential upgrade. OND, HND, B.Sc, M.Sc, Phd have different curriculum, no one I repeat no no can alternate another. go to your school take a brochure or ask your lecturer to explain this to you. if a diploma can be converted to M.Sc in anyway then its an insult to academics worldwide.
