Qlife price for adults used to be 46k before increasing to about 60k. You should know that Adults and Children prices are different. Probably that's why the total cost is 176k. You can check it up. Congrats anyways on your visa, may the land of UK favor you and your family! and

Ok thanks. I think I will wait until tomorrow as it will be 10th day I arrived in the UK, then check again at the post office before making the complain.
dupyshoo:
I am not sure why the link did not work for you. I just clicked on the link and it took me to where to report to Home Office if your BRP has not arrived.

I have posted the link below again.

https://www.biometric-residence-permit.service.gov.uk/collection

If you complete the form, you should get a response within 24hrs.

Yes the link didn't work. When trying to get the share code it said :

“What identity document did you use when you created your account?”

Passport

National identity card

Biometric residence card or permit

I did put my passport number and it said this information doesn’t match.

Someone already responded to you with a link earlier, have you used the link?

Pls Zahra29,Lexusgs430,Thewritingnerd and everybody; In my decision letter, it said within 10 days of arriving in the UK one can collect his BRP. I came in on 10th of April and I have been to the to the post office for BRP collection 3 times but it has not yet arrived at the post office. I am stressing out already. . Please any tips on how to go round it or how to contact home office. Thanks

Zahra29:

To the bolded, one of the conditions of a sponsor license is the employer is required to select the most appropriate/closest matching SOC code based on the job duties of the proposed role. Otherwise most employers would just select a lower rated SOC code and pay less.

Most Finance officer roles have lower level duties than a Finance Business Partner. Is the OP happy for their responsibilities to be watered down to fit a Finance Officer job description? Or rather, this is an opportunity for HR to ensure his/her salary is inline with the going rate if it isn't already.

These are the questions I was asked at Heathrow Airport by the immigration officer yesterday.I was practically done at the clearance desk
within 2-3mins

IO: Document please
Me: Here sir..I gave him my passport
IO: Where are you coming from?
Me: Nigeria
IO: What did you come to do in the UK?
Me: Work
IO: Do you have a proof of your sponsorship?
Me: Yes.. I handed him my CoS
IO: Typed in something on his system.. Looked closely at the document and asked me, but..your work start date was December 2023 and you are just resuming now
Me: That was because my CoS was just approved and assigned to me on the 10th of March and then the start date was amended to 15th April , and this was also captured in the sponsor's note
IO: Looked again..and said aah! What job have you come to do?
Me: I told him
IO: And have you got any experience?
Me: Yes I have over 3years experience
IO: Welcome to UK.. he stamped me in

May the land of UK favour me..Amen!

Oga enter Northern Ireland first....and look for a place...he important thing is that u show up for ur job the day of ur resumption

@AdvanceDNA

Pls do you know how to get a cheap house/room(shared flat) to rent in Lisburn area Northern Ireland, my work place.

My employer said I must have a permanent address to start my role with them and this must be done within 28days of my approved sponsored start date.

I plan to be in the country this thursday 11th April to obtain my brp and generate my share code .

The whole thing is quite overwhelming and have started stressing me out

@Zahra and pls @everybody does Royal Air Maroc allow dry fish and stock fish to the UK?
Zahra29:

Review your employment contract carefully for any pay back clauses.

Someone I know recently had to turn down a job offer because her current employer (whom she had been with for less than 1 year) had stipulated pay back charges of approx £10k which the new company refused to pay.

Thanks so much. I just did exactly what you advice …until I enter the UK and obtain my BRP, then I would be able to generate a share code..
ReesheesuKnack:

From my experience, your HR is being unreasonable (if indeed they are asking for a Right to Work Share code at this stage).

You mean the company interviewed you, you met all their requirements , they issued you Certificate of Sponsorship. You used the CoS to apply for, and got a valid visa. The HR of that same company is asking you for a share code to prove your right to work, even when you’ve not yet resumed work (for them)

This is a strange one to me.

To attempt answering your question:
Write back to the HR, with a copy of the Visa vignette stamped in your passport (if it hasn’t changed recently , the employer code will be clearly visible on the vignette). Tell the HR that the process is:
Visa issued-UK entry-BRP collection-Share code generation.
Simply put: you can’t (successfully) generate a RTW share code without a BRP.

PS: I am a bit of a dinosaur so things may have changed.

@AdvanceDNA..from another link, I navigated upto this point and inputted my passport number but I could not go through. I just got my visa and if you check under it says who have updated their UKVI account since they applied.. maybe the passport/national ID option is for nationals. I guess I will just ask the HR to wait until I arrive UK and get my BRP...Do you know people who had proven their rights to work without first entering UK and obtaining their BRPs?

@Aminatola Honestly, these things are mostly by luck..I started applying 1st of January 2023 and I got 2 interviews in second week of January 2023..and one declined that I must be physically present in the UK to attend the interview...and the other offered me a zoom interview..God willing I aced it..the waiting game started. For a year and 3 months to getting of the CoS..in between these months, I was throwing in applications , over 10,000 direct and unsolicited job applications, constantly updating my CV/cover letter and acquiring various certifications but not even 1 interview came through. The closest was the ones that said I need to be in the UK first...I want to encourage you not to give up. Just sort out the cqc care homes from the sponsored list if its a care job and bombard them with both direct and unsolicited mails..you need to get a good cv and cover letter and then add enough prayer..Good luck
Aminatola:
I wanted to ask how did you apply for the job on indeed UK, jobs that give visa sponsorship for people outside UK. Have been trying to get that most job advert I saw require living in UK with a visa even if not work permit.

Its surreal @AdvancedDNA.. I was shocked when the legal team sent in the CoS and advised that I can apply for ILR for settlement immediately after my 5years has ended. There are some wait that are worth it.. My visa decision was dated 26th March, that is 2 days before TLS even contacted me for passport collection. This kind God and doings. LONG WALK TO SUCCESS

Indeed my Easter came early...

What an incredible journey I've been through! My perseverance and determination are truly inspiring. Despite the long and sometimes challenging process, I never gave up on my dream of relocating via the work route.

My timeline showcases the ups and downs of the application process, from the initial application to the final approval. It's a testament to my resilience and commitment.

This my success serves as a beacon of hope for anyone facing similar challenges. It demonstrates that with patience, persistence, and belief in yourself, even the most daunting obstacles can be overcome.

**Job Application Process:

Applied for the job on Indeed UK: 1st January 2023
Received an invitation for an interview: 9th January 2023
Attended zoom interview: 13th January 2023
Received verbal confirmation of successful interview from HR: 16th January 2023
Received written confirmation of successful interview via email: 19th January 2023

**Post-Interview Period:

Experienced a period of silence...

**Job Offer and Pre-Employment Procedures:

Received job offer: 9th May 2023

Underwent employment gap check: 22nd August 2023
Submitted passport biodata page: 24th August 2023
Completed TB medical test: 26th August 2023
Made PCC payment: 18th September 2023
Manager requested submission of all passport pages(both the expired and current copies): 25th September 2023

**Post-Submission Period:

Received TLS collection mail: 28th March 2024 (4:08pm)
Received decision letter and Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) mail: 29th March 2024 (11:20pm)

NOTE:

For the fact that immigration rule changed on the 11th March for care route and I started trying to pay for my visa application from 8pm until 11:30 pm on Sunday night, the 10th March 2023. All payments failed and declined, contacted bank customer care representatives 12 times and was referred to anti fraud department 10 times. And just 30 minutes gap to the new immigration rule change the payment went through!

My DCoS showed I was expected to start work December 2023,that meant my sponsorship application of August/September 2023 was actually delayed until March 2024.

Oh God, my father , what an extravagant love you showered on a sparrow like me. .Nah you do this one.. receive all praises and thanks giving! I am eternally grateful!

Also many thanks to NL comrades for guidance and contributions. Baba @advanceDNA,thanks for always being there for me.

@advanceDNA Thanks alot

Any need to attach care certificates? Again my initial job offer letter last year stated 10.70pounds per hour and during CoS application the HR asked me to do permanent night shifts for 11.50pounds per hour to enable my salary to be eligible .This is only contained in the CoS and no further offer letter to this, I hope the two wont complicate issues

Sponsor evidence: COS

Financial evidence: if u sponsor did not tick maintenance..attach bank statement here

Family status: ur marriage certificate...ur wife may want to come for visiting ....

Unless u have a degree related to the job ....forget degree and transcript..if they need it ..they will ask u
