Literature / Re: Lost in Lust [A story by Toyin Olorunsola] by tade123: 1:08pm On Dec 12, 2018
FrankAkowe:
Madam Aleshi regaled us with the tale of how she met her husband many years ago in England and how they had married and had three children over there. Later, they had relocated to Nigeria. According to her, up till the time her husband died about three years ago, the love between them was as strong as ever.

Later, the house maid served us lunch. We remained with Madam Aleshi until about seven p.m. when we returned to my apartment. I could not but agree that Madam Aleshi was nice and friendly.

Later that night, while we lay on bed, we held each other’s hands and stared into each other’s eyes.

‘How many children will you like to have?’ she asked.

‘Two should be okay. Plus Ella, making three.’

She smiled. ‘Yes, that number is reasonable.’

We chatted into the long hours of the night, until we slept off.

She was the one that woke me up Sunday morning with a kiss.

‘Good morning, darling,’ I greeted.

‘Morning.’ She smiled.

‘How was your night?

‘With you, it was wonderful.’

I was delighted to hear that.

‘Today is Sunday,’ I said. ‘I will look for a good church around here where I’ll be worshipping.’

‘Good idea,’ she said.

Minutes later, I went to have my bath. I then decided to iron the clothes I would wear to church.

‘You can bring your clothes for ironing too,’ I offered.

She brought a well-designed Ankara wear for ironing. We took bread and fried eggs for breakfast

before we left for the church which was a stone throw away. Her Ankara wear was beautiful while I looked good in my well-starched, sky
blue Guinea brocade kaftan. When we returned from the church, I brought my phone out.

‘Let me take your pictures, honey. You look so sweet,’ I said.

‘You look sweet too,’ she said.

I took her pictures in different postures, and she took mine. We also took many together.

‘I’ll paste them on my Facebook and Instagram,’ she said.

When it was time for her to return to Surulere, I drove her there.

‘Thanks for coming around and making my weekend worthwhile,’ I told her as I drove the car.

‘Thanks for giving me a warm welcome,’ she replied.

When we got to Ojuelegba, she asked if we could drive straight to Masha so that she could pick Ella.

‘Why not,’ I replied.

She directed me to the place.

‘You will know that my aunt today. I will have to introduce you to her, but we’ll still tell her that we’ll be coming to properly greet her on
Saturday.'

‘With all pleasure,’ I answered.

The aunt turned out to be a sturdy woman in her late forties. She welcomed me jovially and kept smiling at me. She and Naomi spoke in a
mixture of English and Itshekiri, but I could still pick some words from the Itshekiri.

‘Auntie, be expecting us on Saturday,’ Naomi said. We departed from there. I drove to Abina.

‘Come, I want to show you something,’ Naomi said. We went to her bedroom.

I was curious about what she wanted to show me.

‘I was thinking that to ease your moving around,’ she said, ‘I’ll like to hand over my second car, the Honda Accord, to you.’

‘No, you won’t do that,’ I said quickly.’No.’

‘Why not?’

I shook my head. ‘If I take it, people will read meanings to it. People will say my reason for choosing you is gold-digging.’

I like this very candid answer....

donstan18:
When it comes to their turn to help a man financially, they'll remember [What if, What about, Sacrifice, Risky, Should I, Shall I, Shall we, Shall should, Shall us, Shall him, Shall she, Shall shim]

He helped your business stood its ground without asking if the risk was worth doing for a girlfriend, and here you are, calculating and warring the gravity of his sacrifice and the one he's asking of you. Sacrifice is sacrifice. Do it if you want, and if you don't, then get the hell out of his life.

Sex must not be the only thing you offer a man without seeking advice.
Politics / Re: Where Is Bukola Saraki's NYSC Certificate? by tade123: 3:29pm On Sep 18, 2018
Whoever wrote this has sawdust in his/her head...have you finished asking ur god buhari about his own certificate?....Mscheeew...nonsense!
qwertygeni:
But seriously,

ABUBAKAR Bukola Saraki.

Where is your NYSC certificate?

Abubakar Bukola Saraki was born on 19 December 1962 to the family of Olusola Saraki, a senator (1979–1983) and a one time Senate Leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and his mother Florence Morenike Saraki. He attended King's College, Lagos, from 1973 to 1978, and Cheltenham College in the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1981 for his High School Certificate. He then studied at the London Hospital Medical College of the University of London from 1982 to 1987, where he obtained his M.B.B.S (London).

Saraki worked as a medical officer at Rush Green Hospital, Essex, from 1988 to 1989. He was a director of Société Générale Bank (Nig) Ltd from 1990 to 2000.

In 2000, President Olusegun Obasanjo appointed Saraki as Special Assistant to the President on Budget. During his tenure, Saraki initiated the Fiscal Responsibility Bill. Saraki also served on the Economic Policy Coordination Committee, where he was responsible for the formulation and implementation of several key economic policies for Nigeria.

Where and When did Waziri Bukky of Offa Syndicate serve as a corp member?
Just wondering, anyways.

In as much as we say they are all the same, some are quite better that others.

Saraki is far better than Buhari.

But we want a new face and a new way.

Thats all.

Thank you.

Ortom should also be bold to ask Buhari who issued the herdsmen with the licenses to possess guns.

Exactly.

Who will grill Buhari on arming of Fulani herdsmen ?
Mr Ortom, Buhari is angry because you're trying to defend your people from future attacks, I bet there'll be a blackmail and you'll suddenly support cattle colony in Benue state

I hope Ortom will stand his grounds as an elected official mandated to protect the lives and properties of his people and my all means necessary.
