he has forgotten that form a is now ie windo which is based on availability of seller at that official rate. nothing concerns cbn again.

Augrere2022:

And who will honor your form A?
Where is the dollar at the official market?
Do you have a willing seller?
I was told to look for seller for my form A 😂

its saskatchewan, not that bad. ontario is the worst. for every 1 Nigerian, you are competing against atleast 100 indians in the student job labour market. saskat i hear isn't as bad as ontario

Favouralltheway:

Thanks for your response.
My province is Saskatchewan. Saskatoon in Saskatchewan.
My program is for one year; the total tuition is $20,000 and I’ve paid $10,000 and it’s starting Jan 2024

I’ve reached out to my school if I can split the payment for me and they’re kind of insisting that I have to pay the tuition balance before the start of my program in Jan.

If I can even get a job instantly it would be nice. Cos even the news I’m seeing all over SM is not helping. Of people looking for jobs and can’t find and it would be disastrous being stranded in a new country

the crypto trading should be amongst his sources, as per pof. let him seek another biz to integrate as a source of funds in order to build his pof legitimacy. you can submit more than one source of pof. i did such

which application? school or visa
Alwaysdesign:
how do I begin with the application online
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by tajuowo(m): 1:58am On Oct 22, 2023
age is a factor to consider. also the person has other investments or sources of income, claim them as main sources aside crypto.

BeatThaMeat:
Please I have Questions.

An Applicant who has gotten over 32M in his account, and only has a Waec result, which was written in 2008/2009. He has been doing business since then but this business isn't registered until recently, and it has to do with Cryptocurrency. And they said that, Cryptocurrency document does not count because it's not legal in Canada. This person has plan to write IELTS and Duolingo, this person has 2 landed documents valued a substantial amount, the money in this account is not a lump sum. And now he has a family friend who has a venture, how does this person go about this, he's willing to pay the the tuition deposit of a year and buy a GIC certificate.

Please my Bosses in the house help a brother. I'd like to know how this person can go about this.

God bless you all in all your endeavors!

Adeiyanu3:
If you can provide 40million POF, I know of someone who can certainly assist you with your application, his charges is just 400k and 200k for any accompanying family. His level of professionalism is top notch and his only demand from you is 100% SINCERITY.

same thoughts here, but i have been seeing people here claim that flutterwave transferred their tuition to their schools at 590 rate. i would really appreciate if atleast 1 person could explain how they managed to achieve such a feat

bytecode:
Seriously doubt Flutterwave is currently doing this at the bank rate, if they ever did.

this is the talk. people should prepare, before you embark. don't just assume, its all rosy here. only if that guy knew how many certifications i have. grace is also very important

Augrere2022:

Ah!!!
You added prayer at the end of your comment? 😂😂😂
I thought when i get to Canada my prayer point will be next to nothing (that is if i have 20 prayer points while I'm in Nigeria, it’s becomes 1 to nothing). 😂 😂😂😂

Anyway, your statement is very much encouraging and appreciated.
As for me, what I get from all this negativity comments is to make sure I’m fully prepared for the worst, but still it can never be as bad as Nigeria.

God will continue to help us all

didn't say its bad, its good. great decision, just trying to inform people of what to expect. no expectations, no disappointments. the boy saying he is working & paying for all his school mates, i laugh.
there are jobs, but competition is steep, especially due to the population of other internationals like indians. tell people the reality of what's happening in Canada. so they prepare adequately. As a student it's almost impossible to land & get student jobs immediately.

Bobomaigida:

So what are the good things about the place, it will be nice to also share the positives as well, It can't be so bad cos despite all the negatives no student is coming back to Nigeria, or are you planning to come back?

Predator188:

Yes ...all China phones made for Nigeria does not work in Canada..including infinix any type, itel or tecno they are all useless including for roaming or local call, you may carry dem only for your bank app or WhatsApp. cool
original Samsung android phones or even original Motorola phones works here in Canada...
Hair clippers bought from nigeria will be useless here...cos current in nigeria is 220-240 volts while canada is 120volts..
Uk/nigeria to canada adaptor is about 9.99 dollars in amazon.canada + shipping upto 17dollars..

if you are coming to thunder bay from Nigeria be aware. those stories of 'plenty jobs for international students' are lies.
you will spend a minimum of $800 - $1000 a month on a room (just a room). your tuition is minimum of $8600 per semester & for Masters students you pay every semester, there are no breaks in the year. this applies to most universities in Canada. also there are barely part time jobs for students, be ready to get money from back home every month. your sim card bill is min $50 per month (lowest offer so far). you will be bombarded with excess school work, thus be aware.
buy your winter jackets & boots before you arrive, its less expensive back home.
Nigerian students don't forget to buy international travel adaptor in Nigeria. over here its $35, in Nigeria you can get it for $5. certain android phones don't work with their sim cards over here. as i remember more tips i will post.

did you submit police character certificate for your spouse? with your response i can put my cousin's mind to rest

cathrynjegs:
I've come to say thank you to all the members of this wonderful group for all the free information that is posted here and to share my timeline and testimony

Timeline
I applied for my study visa last year July and visitor visas for my daughter and husband but I had to defer my Sept 2022 admission to 2023 because the visa was not forthcoming.

Jan 2023 I got a request to go for medical meanwhile nothing came for my husband and daughter
Feb 14th 2023 I got my PPR and my dependents got rejection letters
I submitted my passport and it took 8days to get the visa.
After plenty reading on this group we decided to apply for a SOWP for my husband instead of another visitor's visa
April 16th 2023 we applied for a Spousal Open Work Permit for my husband and a visitor visa for my daughter.
May 5th 2023 medical request came in for both of them
They did the medical on the 18th of May
May 29th PPR dropped
June 8th passport was ready for collection
June 28th arrived in Canada

We decided to travel early even though my school starts in September so I can still be fit to fly as baby no 2 is on the way.
Port of entry interview was a breeze, the officer just asked for my school's letter of acceptance, letter of introduction, proof of tuition payment (I paid 3000 CAD before coming) and the bank statement of my sponsor(my dad). There was no question on why we were coming in early, nothing about the pregnancy too and we were not asked to show our personal bank statements.

Documents submitted for my husband's SOWP
LOE
Pay slips for 3months
Employment letter
Land documents
Pictures of our building under construction
Letter from his father to support the monetary gift he sent
Statement of account from his pension manager
Bank statement showing closing balance of N2.3m
Confirmation of funds letter from the cooperative society in the institute he works for because he also saves money there
My bank statement showing closing balance of N5.8m
My student visa and letter of acceptance
Our wedding certificate
Family pictures

Documents submitted for my daughter

I wrote a supporting letter explaining why I couldn't leave her behind
Her birth certificate
My bank statement
Affidavit of support from my father that I submitted in my study permit application.
My study visa and letter of acceptance

God truly came through for my family, I thought my study permit application will be rejected because of the pregnancy or that we would have issues at the POE but everything just went smoothly, better than expected.

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences, all that we read gave us the confidence to apply by ourselves. May God bless you.

My cousin also submitted without PCC police character certificate. it seems pcc isn't so important

OkukuOne:
Congrats!!!

We can do anything. All we need is perseverance and dedication. If you don't have those, then why come to Canada?

No shortcuts here. So, i believe the first thing to check your readiness, is doing your stuff yourself or come here and paying through your nose for all you want.

May the land of Canada favour you!

my current lifestyle. allows me sleep peacefully at night. its been 22 years since i commenced & no regret so far. i have been a silent unregistered reader for several years after i realised everything can be done online. i appreciate you all here for making me richer. thanks

emmanuelewumi:
Do you know that an investor who does not like risk who invested 200k per annum in a fund growing at 10% for the past 15 years would have compounded his investments to N7 million. 10% is a highly conservative return ooo.

Yet we have stock market investors who invested more than that for the past 15 years who don't have a portfolio of N6 million.

Now imagine if the fixed income investor increased his or her annual investments as his income increased over the last 15 years. Or invested N1 million per annum in the last 15 years

Consistentcy and investing in what one understands is very important.

Reason why some average investors have built a nine digit portfolio over their working life ie 25 years to 30 years. They know the importance of compounding and diversification in Investment portfolio growth

another reason i can't ask my worst enemy to buy certain companies. ex japaul silver or metal. i see such as gambling mmm or ponzi

emmanuelewumi:

Few years ago, a company called Afroil that should be valued at N50 million was valued N1 billion by the market when the share price moved from 50k to about N10.

That was a company that owed rent of 400k per annum for 3 years.

When insiders who craved control start selling their shares, believing they could make more money trading their company's shares than managing the company, you should know that is the height of monkey hunting.

Insiders sold their shares made more than N600 million from a business that could barely make a profit after tax of N4 million and moved on.

People who thought they were smart lost more than 90% of their Investment and have an illiquid stock that could not make profits for the past 16 years

even if they dash me japaul shares i will reject it. i don't dabble into useless stocks. i see such ventures as a waste of time. based on the risk you are taking with your money, i respect you

locodemy:

The 5m units Japaul I sold off was because of the warning.I also sold off sterling bank but thank God I have used the fund which is from the sales to enter IB yesterday at #5.

Even if the generational low comes now, I can't be scared of it because the bull paid off.

seeing the price & booking the ticket are different situations. you won't even see egyptair as. low as 900k now.

OLAN2015:

I think I saw a Lufthansa ticket to Canada that cost about 1200USD (900K) on their site few days ago but I avoided it because that option does not have a refund if you miss your flight and rebooking too will be charged. I chose the option of about 1480 USD (1.1M) because it is refundable, changeable etc. But as at today that price has shot up to more than 2000 USD.
