This is sad, biggie was so vocal and helped to disseminate information to lot of students in faculty of engineering UNILAG then. I will not also forget him called NTA one-on-one when its invited the then VC Ibidapo Obe. Surely he's an orator no doubt. May God grant the family the fortitude to bear the lost. RIP Gbenga. |

Concur, notice all you mentioned in your write up. People from other countries can not lodge in their standard hotels without passports. You can as well drink beer in the cathedral, its nothing while also their woman drink beer in the open without an iota of hypocrisy. Aside Cotonou and other southern departments (just like Nigeria States), you hardly find people that speak french in the northern departments just like it is in northern Nigeria. I think they have 16 departments in totality. You can as well move around throughout the night, did not witness any mayhem while travelling around the country. You did a great job OP. 1 Like |

It is not always good to judge from distance. Everyone condemning this act should please have a rethink. The people in that community have their reasons and restrictions. So let them be. Come to think of it, as an individual what have we done to our blood brothers whose standard of living are poor and therefore need helps. See, every man for himself because we all have our purposes in life. It is whoever God send you to , you will help. For those who help in burying him, thumb up to you and to the death RIP. |

God will help us all from the hands of the evil doers. It's important for the residents to form a vigilante group and also use this medium as a means to give little of what they know about the group. Evil prevails only when good people do nothing. |

Sure, every tribe in Africa has way of helping children from poor family but there is always an interest attached. Is either support for loneliness while husband was not around, someone to help clean the house, support for an elderly parent or to save face from the family/villager that expected us to take charge after demise of the child's parent. Yes the child may be better off than leaving such in the hand of faith but out of all women in the world only few can take responsibility of other people children without a clause or gain( my take though!). All in all at this age it is a gross child abuse has someone has claimed. Better still gather all the money you desire to spent on the child and deposit such to the parent or guardian or the child. |

Mbamally: Chose like because in decision making there are forecast on which Fayose picks its disadvantages. China as a country has prospect of becoming world leader over America, there will not like to goof. Remember also if this failed us as a country it will hinder a lot of bilateral relationship even with other countries. Business is a symbiotic non detrimental on party if one want to retain his or her partner. 1 Like |

Considering the constraints of the law and the veto power of the president first. I think the law will not allow me to do much as I wanted. But will try considering bribing the national assemblies to amend the law within 10hrs to suite my stand and declare state autonomy especially on resource control and contribute 50% to the central while the contributed 50% will be used at federal government discretion for external and internal expenses. For those states without no contributions.....OYO. This will make us use our brains as people. |
Politics / 2015 Election Political Abracadabra....#just Thinking! by tallfact: 12:01pm On Dec 18, 2015 |
Just thinking...who in this world will expend hard earn income on terrorism? If not that the money was earned illicitly. Hope terrors in Nigeria were not planned by the political 'Jugunus' and then displayed to us as 'abracadabra'. We don't know what is happening while only react to what they throw at us through the media. Just thinking...Who knows, maybe the security vote was used to finance BK secretly and arms were intentionally dropped for them in Sambisa forest to foment troubles while questions regarding the amount specified for security in every budget will be defended by using terrorism as excuse. In return they get an increase percent in the next budget for security. Just thinking... After the voting was concluded and the counting was on going, an elder statesman intended to place the nation under tension. If not for the new drug (INEC Jegamason) Nigeria would have been on fire. This made people to ask, why would a man want to die for another man and not his country? Could it due to his personal gain or there were bunkers to his name which he needed to protect when in power? Just thinking...During political campaigns our politicians suddenly became entertainers who dishes out songs and dancing steps to get close to the citizens. Wondering where all these styles disappeared to. Just thinking... Sometimes in the past a news paper house informed the public that they got a threat from BK and after some time the company was bombed. Thereafter it was secretly compensated. We may be forced to asked if the whole print was razed or was the payment meant to build a new press. Or should we suspect a game plan where an organised crime was played out? All in the name to gulp Nigeria money ( national cake). Just thinking... If a TV station owner claimed it got such huge amount for campaign on media and did not remit any to the company account for it to pay its workers, then it will be right to say THE RICH ALSO RICH BUT POOR CRY MORE. "Monkey dey work baboon dey chop". Just thinking...Most filling stations in the past have their station fill with petrol from time to time but in the recent time they seem to be having little. Just may be, how are we sure that most of them were not buying stolen fuel from the pipelines. Just thinking...Is like in this generation it has been proven; without money nothing can be done. Surprisingly, league of Imams and churches have now become politically inclined and at the same time abandoned the tenet of their religious. All in the name of money. THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND. Just thinking...Evil strives only if we do nothing and when there is life, then there is hope. Let us all support this country in our own little ways and also remember that there is nothing we bring to this world therefore nothing we will die and bury with. #justthinking |

Politics / With Working BVN, National ID Card Is A Waste. by tallfact: 6:55pm On Nov 05, 2015 |
For years most Nigerians enrolled for national IDs without any successful implementation by the federal government . The previous administration also re-strategies but all to no avail because they got it wrong from inception. Just yesteryear BVN was introduced by CBN and today it's a success story reason being that most stack holders in the industry are private organisations which can be whipped by government to line and always tried as much as possible not to be witch-hunted by the CBN staff which normally fine a way to be bribed . Though the policy was meant for the banks and their customers security wise. This can be extended to other areas like policing, hospital, hotel accommodation, transportation, censor, employment, senior citizens recognition and other important societal issues. It's important to note that BVN, national ID, driver's license, medical data and all personal information could be on any of the mentioned cards and therefore they are all carbon copies to one another. Call it any name it will serve just like the US social security number. With it any body we know you. It does not necessarily mean that everybody will have access to all your data only some security bodies. What the government simply need to do is to first of all find a way to keep the data secure by introducing controls. Secondly merge the existing BVN with the already registered Nigerians on national ID card scheme to have a good number to start with. Encourage all industries just like the banks to find a way to key in their customers to the system while those without a number will not be able to transact business at some point in future. KYC is important. Financing should be strictly done by government while viewing access will be granted to all organisations. They will use it to confirm the social status of their customers. The organisations could be requested to pay stipends yearly. Policy in Nigeria are always good and well laid out but sincerity of purpose, implementation, evaluation and maintenance are what we lack as a country. Most policy were put out to enrich some money bags bank account. Believe we also need to put control on contract cost. Nigerians are endowed. We can be who ever we want to be. The number of the shafts in our grains are limited, they can be crushed and crumbled if only we unit as a country rather than being antagonists to one another as people. Note evil only thrived when we do nothing to arrest it. Evil doers are most of the time bullies, they can not stand the heat openly. Written by Tallfact 1 Like |

It depends solely on the environment you found yourself. It pays in Nigeria because most teachers and lectures give good marks only to students that can recopy word for word as they were given in class. If you write something different you have lesser mark even if your answers were correct but from another source. If you are smart this can not affect you life or work in future. Nigerians are only certificate savvy. So go for it by being smart. |
