Guys I discovered a way to make your phone charge faster. Switch off your Internet connection and set both sims on 2G and lock screen. The speed with which my phone charged was surreal.
This has to be a troll comment

The way this X6 price dey drop eeehn. Just tempting to swap for upgrade from my X5!!!

But asides the memory and ram, what special features make X6 better than X5 pls
Gorilla glass protection and a Snapdragon chip,if you count that as plus..I think it's also a fhd display
Phones / Re: The Xiaomi Note 7 Pro Would Be My Last Xiaomi Phone. by talut(m): 3:20pm On Oct 14, 2019
This is more or less a WhatsApp problem.. my telegram that is loaded with so many channels, lemme don't mention the number of messages I get daily, works smoothly.. meanwhile put on data connection, open WhatsApp and my phone freezes because of WhatsApp.. Getting a flagship phone will probably solve your problem though.. it doesn't really matter what brand once you reach flagship level. But you need to understand it is WhatsApp problem

Infinix use MTK pump Express which is different from Qualcomm's QC 3.0 found on Snapdragon devices. If you don't know QC chargers have between 3-5 outputs depending on the total output of the charger.

I still maintain that the term flash charging is wrong, tech wise.
It's not necessarily wrong.. it just depends on what the manufacturer tag it as.
Infinix tagged theirs as X charge or flash charge.
The whole idea remains the same.. faster charging
One plus..warp charge
Xiaomi didn't improve charging speed par se... Still calls it quick charge just as Snapdragon meant it to be
Oppo... Vooc charge, too name quite a few
The idea remains the same, faster charging.
If anything technically, the term is correct

Phones / Re: Huawei’s ‘oak OS’ Will Be Launching By August Or September by talut(m): 4:01pm On Jun 11, 2019
Besides the fact that their phones will no longer come with gapps doesn't mean they can't be side loaded. After all the "superbness" of the gcam app didn't result to people getting the pixel phones. I think Huawei will be fine sooner than later.
There is also the fact that 50% of Huawei's sales is from the Chinese market and those folks don't even use Google service by default
Phones / Re: Huawei’s ‘oak OS’ Will Be Launching By August Or September by talut(m): 2:10pm On Jun 11, 2019
The proposed os will natively run Android apps, obviously there will be hiccups along the way but that os will eventually become a major player. Huawei is too big to fail.

It supports more band.. I think glo is the only Network it doesn't in Nigeria

Two months ago, my Sony Xperia was stolen. I was looking for a good budget phone of not more than 70K when I stumbled on this thread. I ended up buying the Nokia X5 after carefully reviewing all the comments. I am happy I bought this phone. It is a good budget phone @ 50k. Mind you, the global version (5.1+) is sold at 66k. You can opt for that if you want warranty, earpiece and extra LTE bands. Mind you, X5 only supports Celtel 4g in Nigeria.
Phones / Re: Nokia Users, Get In Here!!! by talut(m): 6:42pm On Mar 01, 2019
Definitely sd 835
Mizik:
Nokia 8 uses the SD 835 while the X5 is the HELIO P60.
The SD835 is the same processor used in the Samsung galaxy S8 and note 8.
Which do you think is better for gaming cheesy

Phones / Re: Nokia x5 Vs Redmi Note 5ai by talut(m): 7:56pm On Feb 01, 2019
I admit I don't have "camera eyes" so I guess with what henry007 has added you can probably make a good choice
henry007:

You're mostly right. Camera is so not on par tho. Note 5 AI has a better camera.
Phones / Re: Nokia x5 Vs Redmi Note 5ai by talut(m): 5:38am On Feb 01, 2019
I'm certain that the free ram to run apps on a 3gb ram Android one(stock) device and a 4gb ram device running the MIUI skin for android should be pretty much the same. I'd go for x5. Infact that's the choice I made when I got the x5 which I'm currently using. It all depends on you though. The P60 is better than sd636 although note 5 offers a better screen display which shouldn't be a major concern cos like henry007 you probably won't need to stream that high on YouTube since you're buying a budget phone in the first place. it's not like a 720p display is bad. Note 5 also offers 32gb extra storage. Now thisight be a big deal to some people. There is also the price to consider. X5 has a "longer update period". It's definitely getting Android q and possibly the Android version after that. The same cannot be said for note 5. Infact there will be no major or update for the note 5. I'll have to also mention that although they won't be any Major os update for note 5,new features will probably still be pushed by xiaomi via MIUI updates. both phones' cameras are on par with each other.note 5 has a bigger screen and battery. That's pretty much the summary. The choice is yours to make

Nahhhhh X6 does not come with an earphone. I saw a couple of videos of the unboxing on YouTube and those ones too didn't come with earpiece.

Report on jumia. You might just get a free voucher code
chukwugoziegi:

I should get my X6 befor the week runs out but Nokia 7plus is definitely more expensive and higher than the x6

UPDATE!
I got the phone this morning. Doesn't come with earphones. Just Type C cord, a charger head and a silicone back case.
P.S.
Thank you mizik
Phones / Re: Why You Should Stop Using Tecno And Infinix Devices by talut(m): 3:06pm On Jan 05, 2019
Not a fan of tecno and the likes but at the end of the day you have no personal experience with any,you kept on saying my friend this, my friend that . The infinix phone I used back in the days never failed me till I took to a quack repairer who literally damaged the whole thing so I'd say the only problem I have with them (infinix) is how ridiculously overpriced their devices are compared to other manufacturers making devices with similar specs
Cheers bro.

Phones / Re: Nipost Charged Me 50 Thousand Naira For A Phone by talut(m): 6:44pm On Jan 03, 2019
I smell a scam. whilst not know much on cases like this, isn't nipost service suppose to be almost free of charge?

Try as much as possible to find out . Hopefully someone here will help you. Besides I don't think custom charge should be collected in the post office. If there was any custom related problem, the phone wouldn't even get to the post office.
