Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has emerged number one on Billboard’s next big sound chart. On a list of 15 on the chart, Tems comfortably outranks Korean girl group Fromis 9 and Cherry Bullet, American Disney star Joshua Bassett, and Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez, among many other acts. Tems’ position is based on a forecast for the third week of May, beginning on May 22nd. After four weeks on the charts, the singer of “Damages” has made it to number one. Tems emerged on four billboards in four cities across the United States, as well as the fifth billboard in Lagos, Nigeria, just a few days ago. Politics / No Region Has The Monopoly Of Grazing- Aisha Yesufu Hails Southern Governors by Taoheed107: 11:49am On May 16, 2021 |
Aisha Yesufu, a well-known activist, took to Twitter to applaud the Southern governors for making a decision to ban open grazing and adhering to them. The prohibition of open grazing enforced by Southern governors has provoked controversy in Nigeria. This, she asserts, will exemplify to the government that this nation does not refer to a particular tribe, but rather that each tribe/region has the right to decide. Following a meeting, the Southern governors suspended open grazing in Nigeria’s southern states. Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state also stated unequivocally that he will carry out the Southern governors’ proposal to stop open grazing and that there will be no going back on the ruling. Aisha Yesufu made this known in a video she posted on her twitter page while saying "Dear Southern Governors, Una do well! For every North, there is a South and no region has a monopoly of being self-centered and intolerant! " "We all can be crazy and everyone has a bed in a psychiatric hospital. Na who wan occupy am dey go there! I’m so proud of southern governors, let them keep making such decisions and having meetings and sending communique." "They think it’s only Northern governors that have a day in this country. There’s so much insolence and disrespect in this country." "I see some people coming out to say the southern governors don’t have the right to make such decisions but yet hail northern governors for making decisions for their states." "You can’t be the one bringing the least to the table and any small thing you convene a meeting." "By the time Southern governors start making decisions continuously like the Northern governors have been doing then we will know restructuring has informally started. They think violence is only from one side." https://gruttle.com/no-region-has-the-monopoly-of-grazing-aisha-yesufu-hails-southern-governors/ 3 Likes |
