Politics / Re: NASS Crisis: I’ll Crush All Opposition, Dogara Warns by Tbasen: 9:46am On Jul 28, 2015
omojoshy:
And let's see who LAUGH LAST. Never in the history of Politics where a politician or an individual had DEFEATED his Party.

Dogara is obviously dancing to PDP and nPDP drums, but soon, I mean very very soon he ll be abandoned. Let him as Okadigbo, the TORONTO Certificates scandal guy etc how far.

In all our ramifications, we need more FRIENDS to succeed in life not FOES.

Sir,you are a poor student of HISTORY.If the speaker of the last HOR could defeat his party and occupied that seat for four years with the aid of the opposition-what could stop Dogara from doing the same??

Good to see that he's helping the less privilege. Very commendable feat. He should put more effort and resources into helping more people instead of perpetually running to become Lagos state governor every election year.

Seun my grandson,Jimi Kolawole is not in your words''perpetually running to become the Lagos stat governor'' but he has been involved in helping the less privilege since you were in your mother's womb.Go check his antecedence from when he was in Afenifere's secretary in the 90's.You may ask the Jagaban or anyone close to him about this.Jimi just like helping people of the less privilege irrespective of tribe or gender.Go do reseach about him my grandson.Cheers!!!
Politics / Re: Boko Haram: Top 8 Worst Decisions Of President Muhammadu Buhari by Tbasen: 11:46am On Jul 21, 2015
Flets:
Buhari's biggest mistake is staying silent on the economy and delaying appointment of cabinet members till Sept.

In a bad economic state, no fight against terrorism can be sustained and chances are that will be more sectoral crises.

Does Buhari want to do the following:
1. Devalue the naira?
2. Remove or retain petrol subsidy?
3. Deregulate or maintain status quo on oil and gas downstream sector?
4. Issue more licenses on power sector or government take over?
5. Sustain ban on textile and furniture or help promote the local industry
6. Any subsidy for farmers?
7. Etc

These are the reasons why
1. Dollar sells for 245 naira in the parallel market
2. The stock market has lost over 1 trillion naira in the past six weeks
3. The volume of capital flight from the economy is the highest in history
4. A kilo of chicken has risen fron 700 naira to 1200 in the market
5. Petrol scarcity still persists, and for locations where itis available... It sells for over 100 naira per litre
6. There is huge economic uncertainty

In addition, Boko haram has continued slaughtering
Buhari has continued to mingle with a nation responsible for all the crises in the world today at the expense of nations who are ready to buy our crude
Niger Delta continues to give ultimatum
Fulani herdsmen has taken over north central
SE has taken the biafran struggle a notch higher
He has continued to make apointments along regional lines further widening the ethnic tensions across the land

And with the Iran crude hitting the market soon, and there are no policies or even technocrats to keep our economy ready...... The future of Nigeria looks very gloomy if nothing drastically happens before September.

The economy, finance sector, agricultural sector, and trade and commerce sectors cannot wait September. Aviation, transport, works, education etc can wait till Sept.

Enough of playing to the gallery, snapping pics and making a big deal of a US visit. Some aspects of our society need desperate attention.
I dont know who you are or which part of the fence you belong but God would bless you for typing the truth. The truth shall set you free!!!!

Dear Mr.Benjamin Uche,
I confident that as a factory worker, you may have had some level of education to be able to read my short letter.Iam a father of 4 kids-with my elders being 16 and youngest being 4 years, something i feel doing what you did-RUN away.

I have just read the lamentations from your wife and seen the pictures of your lovely suffering children.
Where ever you are, please pray to God to to help you so that you can come back to FATHER your kids.

Please remember to ''hold body'' where ever you are so that you dont create another scenario by discharging'' another sets of twins'' into another unsuspecting woman who may ''open her legs'' to you with the assumption that you are single.

I have been a father for 16yrs and would tell you that the worst thing that we can do to ourselves is not to be by our children at these TATA ages as (seen in pictures).

Please think about their health, who is going to help them do their home work, think about the fact that the girls would be abused by uncaring men, think about the fact that by deserting them-you are indirectly breeding a future set of Criminals nay prostitutes which you have power to reverse now.

Please DONT HAVE SEX where ever you are NOW!

Is it now he wants to reconcile them , he wanted them to rubbish Tinubu, now they can even boycott a meeting with him, more will follow , let's wait for season 2 of the movie titled : I belong to nobody , n I belong to everybody ,staring Saraki, Dogora, Buhari, etc.

Moral of the story never expose members of your house to public ridicule .

This is part of the change in the polity's. Things must get rough sometimes before you can get the results expected.
Alignment and realignment is taking place.

Under OBJ the lawmakers fought, they did a similar thing under GEJ infact they asked for his impeachment after jumping the fence last year, and were later rewarded for their ''gallantry''.
Now that there is change, they are still fighting even after being rewarded with the juicy legislative office for changing the GEJ ''clueless and currupt'' leadership. It seams to me now that GEJ was not the problem of our country afterall.

Am begging them to settle down to the serious business of legislation so that our president GMB and the new clueful and corrupt less leadership our nation can keep to their electoral promises inclusive N5,000.00 to every one of our old parents at the end of this month-in FOUR DAYS TIME.

Guess this is why the lawmakers need exorbitant wardrobe allowances.. After disgracing themselves on Live Tv in a show of shame, these are the people the country relies on in making our laws...On Thursday, the lawmakers turned to lawbreakers.

The brawl deteriorated to the extent of clothes being torn in the process as depicted in the pictures...What a big shame...The legislators would take Nigeria to greater heights if they can channel their "Floyd-Mayweather's" skills to doing productive things.

Politics / Re: Ex-minister Faults Buhari On Empty Treasury, Says Jonathan Left About $30bn by Tbasen: 10:03am On Jun 24, 2015
EdCure:
How much did Jonathan inherit?
How much did he save?

I don't know how old the fellow that is asking this question is?
Methink that if the fellow is above 18yrs old as at May 29th 2015,he or she supposed to have known the politics that prevented the outgoing president from saving.
Even when when he did save, the forces(the present day progressives) that saw nothing right in saving for the rainy day(ie today) propel the then finance minister to share the funds.
On a second thought, why is it taking our Dear president almost 30 days in the seat of power which he is not a new comer to realize that our treasury is almost empty. All the expenses involves in the government running from inception till date inclusive our recent commitment of $20m for insecurity in our country which could it have come from?
By the way, when are we receiving alert for the monthly N5,000.00 promised us during the campaign?

Our Dear president should stop giving excuses but hit the ground running as we want to see his electoral promises kept.

I am glad you said "REVENUE" not savings. Revenues are not constant and prices fluctuate. Unlike Buhari, GEJ does not control oil prices.

Sometimes i wonder which part of the world some blind commentators in NL where when just less than 3yrs ago the governors gave a marching orders that the extra crude savings kept for the rainy day(like today) should be shared by the outgoing government even when the coordinating minister of finance refused. Our dear president should stop giving excuses instead should hit the ground running after all he knew what the jobs demanded before applying for it.

To hell with your partisan analysis.
CHANGE THE CHANGER.

Thank you my guy.
Dr. Wunmi Akintide forget that there is law of karma,he fail to remember the common saying ''that what goes around comes around''.
The moral lesson of what took place yesterday is that whenever we conspired against others-we should also expect others to conspire against us sooner or later.

You guys need to learn about reverse psychology, PDP played directly the way APC wanted them to play, they knew PDP will support whoever they opposed. Lawan and Gbaja were just props. Now VP/SP(Yoruba) while Presido/Speaker (Hausa/Fulani). For you to understand politics, you need to look beyond regions. The way i see it, PDP just buried themselves more, why did APC announce their supposed candidates after the mock election. Normally parties do not have chosen candidates, you just put your name, campaign and the whole house votes. So they created the illusion of a broken party because they knew PDP will always vote against them.51 APC members did not vote at all today, why is that? PDP keeps burying themselves politically, David Mark and Bukola have totally different ideas (the Open NASS situation),Lawan would have worked better with David Mark. PDP need to start using their head cause we still need them. To all those who thinks Tinubu lost, i am laughing cause Tinubu's main purpose is to control government without being directly involved with it, So if Tinubu and Bukola are in cohorts, you can't blame Tinubu for Bukola's actions cause he did not publicly endorse him, Do you know what goes on behind close doors? All these will not affect them, it will affect us, the citizens.

Keep on deceiving yourself.Story for the gods.

Abugab:
Mock election is no real election.
APC is going the wrong way about the senate presidency and house speaker.
When NASS is constituted, the members will elect their leaders including those of PDP and other parties.
For the years PDP held sway, we never heard about mock election done outside the hallowed chambers of NASS becoming the sacred and legit one.

APC is driving dangerously with this imposition of leadership. Let the members elect their leaders according to laid down procedures.
Too many unseen hands and interests in this matter and it is a no no for me.
