Politics / Niger Coup: There Is No Difference Between The Type Of Decomcracy We Practice An by tc1od: 5:14pm On Jul 30, 2023
NIGER COUP: THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TYPE OF DECOMCRACY WE PRACTICE AND THE MILLITARY COUP.

African Democratic experiment has failed Most expecialy in some WEST AFRICAN Countries. when the supposes Leaders in Africa hijack electral process and rig themselves into Power through bribery, thougry, and corruption, endless public embezzlement of common resources, what do you call that?

Some time I wonder what type of Democracy we practice in Africa particularly here in Nigeria, when a Leader refuses to obey court order and judgment from a competent court of law, that is dictatorship, when those who think they have the financial resources and Power to bribe their way into leadership position, hijack the electral process and rig themselves into power, that is civilians coup. When civilian Leaders in Africa influence judges to make judgement in their favour, that is judicial coup. Yet we claim Democracy is better than military government how?

If African Leaders thinks Niger Republic military coup d' ta will be the last on African soil they should wake up. If the ECOWAS Leaders believed the action of military in Niger and other West African countries is not the best for the region, what do they do when some African Democratically elected Leaders do wost with their power?

African citizens will continue to wish for and applaud the military actions in taking over power across African Continent as it was the case in Nigeria Republic because; Democratic leadership in Africa has failed on all sides, Africans Leadership failure to bring about the needed change and the required both, capital and human development to African Continent even after many years of Democratic rules has helped in fueling the distrust in governce and Demcratic practices as a means of sytem of government thereby in some country of Africa, citizens are seen calling for military to take back power.

A good and a kind hearted military personnel if taking over power through coup can bring about development and sanitize the society. Nigeria as a case study! Since 1999 till date, with several Democratically elected leadership in Nigeria, how much progress have we made as a country? in terms of development, infrastructure be it roads, industry, Agriculture, Education, healthcare Economy and so many more? Most of our roads today were constructed by military government, how about school? How many has any Democratically elected government built since 1999 till date?

African style of Democracy is not working, a typical African man mind is very dark and evil, Democratcise beurocracy and Process are too weak and slow to govern an average African minds. Africans need a governce system that's forwarding and stringent in nature, that has capacity to put everyone on check.

To me, military rules come close to that. even as a sitting military president, the military council will put you on check, at any slit mistake or misrule someone ex will overtrown you. Military decisions are taking at the military council not by an individual so to say. To me African Style of Democracy has failed us, we need to go back to military rules or what I called: AFROCACY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT
Odum.

Politics / The New National Minimum Wage And The Reality. by tc1od: 8:23pm On Nov 04, 2018
I will like to draw your attention to the wickedness in our government. as at today in the market a bag of rice is eighteen thousand five hundred naira #(18,500). so now the question is, is the Federal and state Government expect the civil servant to work for the whole one month and use his or her salary to buy a bag of rice? A civil servant who's salary is #18,000 per month if he decide to buy a bag of rice in the market today, he will still have to borrow or own the shop owner five hundred naira to enable him by a full bad of rice. what really is wrung with us in this part of the world? I wonder how our so called leaders reason and think before taking decision on issues. pls ooooo someone should help me is there anyway I can sale my own part of Nigeria since this country belong to all of us I want to relocate to another country I am tired of this Nigeria.

Politics / Atikulate 2019 Is My Obi-ligation. Read What Rotimi Amaechi Said! by tc1od: 2:47pm On Oct 16, 2018
Honourable Minister of Transport, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi said if Buhari is not returned as President come 2019, Nigeria will move 10years backwards.
....
I did the calculation by a count down 10 years from 2019 and got answer of 2009, Then, I quickly checked my diary and discovered that.
10years ago was 2009.
.....
• At that time, fuel was N65 per litre., it is N145 now
• A gallon of 'TOTAL 5000W' engine oil was N750 then, it is N4800 now
• Naira was 150 to $1.
• A bag of cement was N900.
• Food stuff was so cheap in open market.
• A 10kg bag of semovita was N550 then, it is N3100 now
• A 50kg bag of Indian Rice was N5700 then, it is N16,000 now
• A 10kg bag of Wheatmeal was N350 then, it is N2600 now
• N200 would buy enough combination of pepper spices to prepare soup to last for 2weeks then, N200 can only buy 5-balls of tomatoes now
• A tin of Peak milk was N50 then, it is N200 now with low and poorer quality
• A mudu of beans was N120 then, it is N600 now
• We were still using N5 to do shopping
• A mudu of garri was =N=12
....
After considering all these i said, APC/Buhari government shall be voted out so we could go 10yrs backwards, its better than now.
Pls help to spread the news we must join hands to change this change/chain

Politics / What One Nairaland Member Wrote About Buhari, You Need To Read This by tc1od: 8:09pm On Oct 11, 2018
one member of nairaland @gdonj1 wrote this and i think is epic and worth reading
Nobody is against Buhari because ofreligion!Yar'adua was a Muslim (we all loved him)Nobody is against Buhari because ofethnicity!Yar'adua was Hausa-Fulani (we loved him)Nobody is holding Buhari's sickness against 6him!Yar'adua was sick (we all prayed for him)Nobody is asking Buhari to perform magicof transformationY
ar'adua did not perform magic, he took little steps in the right direction that endeared him to us.There was global recession in 2007-2009,one man came, saved us from the crisis.Saved Billions of Dollars for Nigeria, increased salaries, reduce pump price. Idon’t know how he did it when he was sick, and he didn’t blame anyone. His name is Umaru Yar’adua. Share this to all buharist supporters for more enlightenment,we never hate rather our brain is intact. To feel the realities. Good morning pals.

Politics / Jonathan's Four Years And Buhari Four Years Budget Comparesim by tc1od: 5:06pm On Oct 10, 2018
Jonathan's Budget. 4 Years.
2011 - N3.9 Trillion
2012 - N3.5 Trillion
2013 -N4.9 Trillion
2014 - N4.6 Trillion
TOTAL - N16.9 Trillion.
Result:
Progress in all Sectors and money in pockets of ordinary people.
Africa's biggest economy. 3rd fastest growing economy in the world.
Buhari's Budget. 3 Years.
2016 - 6.6 Trillion
2017 - 7.8 Trillion.
2018- 9.12
Trillion
Total - N23.52 Trillion.
Result:
1) Recession.
2) Acute Hunger in the Land.
3) Massive looting for Buhari’s re-election.
4) Huge Borrowing and no project to show for it.
5) Economy in comma.
6)Transferring capital projects to next year as they can’t find them.
I'm not an economist, but I understand the meaning of Budget Estimate and Planning. What we have above is akin to two women, house wives living in the same estate under the same extenuating circumstance, whose husbands are colleagues of the same company on the same salaries.
These men give their wives twenty thousand naira and forty thousand naira monthly respectively. Yet the lady who receives 20,000 naira as family upkeep has better groomed home, better fed children, well dressed children, happier husband and a homestead with sounds of joy and happiness unlike the other family.
What you have under this present government is that lots of money is being diverted into private pockets via companies fronting for government officials and officially endorsed by the government.
This is the reason we see lots of movement but no progress. In reality, the movement we see is a routine effort to maintain status quo for official looting to continue. That's why no single high profile government official will be officially reprimanded talk less prosecuted by the EFCC.
Look again at the 2017 Budget figure, then convert the more than $25 Billion cornered (we are not little children) through companies fronting for Buhari's cronies.
