POSITION: STRATEGIC CATEGORY SALES MANAGER

Job Objective:
• As a Strategic Category Sales Manager, you will have the end-to- end responsibility of the customer experience and growth of the category. Your role is to bring in the relevant assortment, design targeted promotions, and manage partners including vendors and brands. Constant interface with the commercial planning, procurement team & Marketing team.

Job Responsibilities:
• Develop strong analytics to evaluate daily/weekly/monthly performance and optimize further marketing, pricing, and product selection.
• Analyze & Present post – promotion analysis for Retail and Distribution, quantifying impact to brand and category.
• Define and optimize assortment selection strategy for your category ensuring relevance of selection/styling to optimize revenues and sales velocity.
• Build weekly marketing plan, contribute determining which products/subcategories will be promoted on website, across the Retail outlet and all through our Distribution and marketing channels (Newsletters, Facebook, etc.).
• Plan and maintain constant stock availability by constantly engaging with the Procurement Team
• Create and present strategic insights for the Business unit to gain alignment of major initiatives at multiple levels of the organization.
• Support product and content creation process to increase assortment live.
• Work closely with the procurement management team to identify vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure best quality and costs.
• Own and maintain the P&L and develop annual and quarterly category strategic plans by conducting financial analysis of the business.
• Partner with other unit services to improve product availability, reduce costs, and minimize our working capital investment.
• Trend Spotting: Should be able to identify broader trends and fill category gaps
• Develop and manage subcategories under your Category.
• Ensure continuous growth of our existing business by owning pricing and sales strategy, working with the Distribution team, Retail team and the Marketing team to improve product content and visibility; and managing stock availability by coordinating sales across the business to bring the product to the customer.
• Manage the entire physical product lifecycle, from strategic activities to tactical implementation, including product portfolio idea generation.
• Complete Sales performance of the 3c’s Categories, vendors, merchant’s management and monitoring of sales strategies with a view to increasing the Business unit’s Net Margin Position (NMP) & Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV). Customer acquisition thru Value Offering, Sales Campaign Management, etc.
• Influence large number stakeholders across the business; work closely with the team members and other business groups to deliver results and be comfortable in presenting projects and results to senior leadership on a regular basis.

Qualification & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in any field from a recognized and accredited University
• 8+ years’ experience in managing various categories.
• Understands implications of performance analysis and performance steering levers (e.g., low CR% leads to either better sales or better price)
• Has strong clarity on the value proposition of Marketing Value Added services
• Exceptional negotiation, listening and communication skills required.
• Advanced Excel, Knowledge of other tools i.e. PBI etc. is an advantage
• Exceptional team working skills and people management.
• Has already a good network/ portfolio of sellers relevant to onboard category - Added advantage Exceptional analytical skills.

Position: Management Accountant (Ref No #010)

Brief: The job holder will analyze key financial information to provide feedback that will aid managerial planning and commercial decision making that will ensure future growth and profitability of your company. Part of the Management Accountant’s role is to try to reduce the operational and production costs of a company by identifying and implementing more efficient strategies.

Job Responsibilities:
• Carry out costing of products ensure full landed cost have been accounted for
• Ensure clearing and freight charges are fully accounted for in costing of product and arriving at the selling price
• Ensure appropriate margin are kept as approved by management and ensure review of prices with Management approval as and when due.
• Ensure the clearing and freight charges are posted on busy.
• Ensure the price list carries appropriate prices as well as advising on the selling price of Competition
• Maintain the main costing template making sure historical are kept for future reference.
• Carries out Periodic price review as approved by management and ensure this communicated to the appropriate channel.
• Co-ordinated and maintain the price list ensuring accurate information
• Track and review the GIT report to ensure all expected product are received and act accordingly where there is otherwise.
• Appraise on monthly basis various businesses channel and category and produce profitability and efficiency reports for use of Business heads
• Co-ordinated and Ammonized the Sales and Purchases periodical budget and report on the variance
• Make presentation on the detailed costing of product for each categories for management periodical price review.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Corporate Finance or Business Administration with a specialty in Finance preferred
• 7-10 years of experience within an FMCG or Manufacturing Industry
• ACCA /ACA is a strong added advantage
