Business / Re: These Products Sell Without Advert:: How? by tearie: 3:53pm On May 02, 2013
For St Louis sugar, I think its because there is almost a non-existent competition in cube sugar. If there is, then it must be in very low quantity. If another company starts flooding the market with cube sugar in a more contemporary, attractive and efficient packaging, then they just may need to start advertising.

Education / Re: Once Upon A Time JAMB: Share Your Past Experiences With JAMB by tearie: 12:15pm On Apr 27, 2013
Hmm, had a fun and cool experience writing JAMB. Was still in SS 3, hair on low cut. I sat I front of d class, became friends with d invigilator, he said I was the only 'innocent' person in the room... Finished my papers on time and started eating the Meatpie and Lacasera my dad bought for me in class! Also remember the invigilator telling me to write names of noise makers when he wanted to go out 8: lol funny guy ... And I recall almost jumping out of my skin when the muscular guy behind me with bloodshot eyes tapped my shoulder. Turns out all he wanted was an eraser but all imagined then was that he wanted to threaten me to start teaching him (according to stories I used to hear)!!!

Islam for Muslims / Re: Muslim Inspired Fashion In China by tearie: 4:18pm On Apr 26, 2013
Abujabir24: The problem with you non muslims is that you hate devoted muslims. Let me make it straight. You prefer muslims who practise your life style I.e you like been with muslims who drink like u do, who smoke, who womanise, who party, who fornicates, who commit adultery like u do. Those are d non-bigots muslims u prefer. U despise d ones dat are devoted, the ones having beards on their faces, the ones dat are dressed like alfas, mallams, ustaz etc, the ones dat won't shake hands with a woman. But sorry to say I can't be like them. If the aforementioned things are what will make u to like me if I practice them then u've got the wrong guy. Hope you understand.

Are you trying to say that every non-muslim in essence fornicates, smokes, parties, drinks etc. Is it impossible that there are adherents of other religions (not just Christians o) who never do these things? Why d'you make it sound as if every non-muslim is immoral? BTW, I'm no hater. That just sounded, com se dice... not right.

Fashion / Re: Photo Of The Day: A Bald Fore-headed Lady! by tearie: 3:36pm On Apr 26, 2013
This can't be as a result of weaves. In fact, hairlines tend to grow better with weave-on. Threading (kiko), tight weaving, ghana weaving etc are the styles that chop off front hair. For e.g, check the hair of those women who probably plait only thread (for church/religious reason), their hairlines are usually messed up.
Romance / Re: Top 8 Lies Told By Ladies Of Nowadays by tearie: 10:01am On Apr 10, 2013
The way guys keep saying (proudly o) disgusting, shameful, and embarrassing intimate things about ladies, I don't know why ladies won't just take a cue and zip up and stay away from such men till they get married. We just keep giving them bullets to fire us with. Too bad
Education / Re: Nairaland Mathematics Clinic by tearie: 8:22pm On Mar 24, 2013
Wao! Been going thru this thread and I'm really impressed. Unfortunately, maths was my nightmare in secondary school. Had to leave science class in my SS 3 just cos of maths, even though I was doing well in Bio, Phy and Chem and every other subject. Anytime the maths teacher came in and started writing the numbers and symbols, I would begin to feel dizzy. After my Uni, I tried to go for math lessons and wrote WAEC GCE, but I still got a pass, not credit. I cried when I saw the result. Felt so ashamed of myself. Most annoying part is I got distinctions and credits in all the other 7 subjects that I didn't even study for.
Anyway, kudos to you guys.

Why do they want to force on him in death that which he steadfastly rejected in life?
