How much is in the account? What is the duration of the program? If personal funds cover 1 year of study, where would additional funds to complete the study comes from? While moving the funds to his regular account, these questions should be answered. Within just 3 minutes, the VO will consider these and weigh his credibility along.

Thanks. It's a master's program with partial tuition and assistantship. The amount is enough to cover the rest.

Yes, move your fund to your regular account. And be sure to explain that to the VO if per adventure he/she starts jacking your SOA looking for lump sum.

Thanks for the response, it's a lump sum as I have been moving from my savings account to the money market investment.
This is my fear exactly because if I move to my savings account, it's going to reflect a lump sum.

Good dear all.
Been a silent reader and sincerely, I have learnt a lot in such short time.
Appreciate to everyone for the insights.

I need advice on my SOA.
I'm self-funding and I have my funds in Axamansard money market (been saving up for almost 2 years now)
Do I have to move the funds to my regular savings account or I should get a statement from the Axamansard.
Thanks.

Natural ways to reduce prolactin
Take plenty of awedu leaf
Take carrot juice

Destinex tab(use 0.25 twice weekly or half tablet once a week)

To increase testosterone:
He should take Wellman original daily
30 to 50mg of zinc daily
Eat healthy
Exercise
Reduce weight if overweight

Work with your doctors
Pray, pray, pray...

Prayer is really key in this journey oh.
I will start the ewedu and carrot juice especially.
Funny enough, he eats healthy and exercises well.

But will include the wellman too.

Thanks ma'am

Its boils down to hormonal imbalance which has to be treated. Men also have the same hormone that women have, its only that the female reproductive hormone are much lower in men. The male hormone is the testerone which is lower in female. If testerone levels are higher in women than normal it could affect fertility. Likewise in males, if the level of femine hormones are higher in men than normal, it can also cause problems. Maca , vit E and C is good for men

Really, thank you for your time and patience.
He has been taking vit E and vit C, albeit not so religiously and he exercises and eats healthy, although we saw an improvement but the doctor just suggested a blood test out of the blue after examining his medical history.

We just plan to treat his prolactin first.
How can I get maca??

Thanks a lot.

Good day good people of nairaland,
We have been trying to conceive for 2 years now, hubby has done testicular scan and everything is normal.

His blood tests shows very high prolactin and low testosterone, apparently it is what has been messing with his sperm count, morphology and motility.

We plan to visit the reproductive endocrinologist our gynecologist recommended but I would like to know if anyone has successfully normalized prolactin and testosterone levels.

Thanks

Its better you seek medical advice first. You can start with your gynea he can then refer you to other specialist. Why not try LASUTH. Maca is good for hormone balancing.

Thanks for your response.
She's going to refer us, I just need a second opinion. Sticking with one gynea was why it took so long getting to the root of the matter in the first place. Thank God we decided to go for a second opinion.

I just wanted to know if per chance we have any papas here who has gone through treatment of high prolactin (it was my first time ever hearing that men can have high prolactin) and low testosterone, apparently it messes with sperm count, motility and morphology.
Thanks once again.

Good evening mamas and papas,

Please, I need natural ways to reduce prolactin in men and also increase testosterone in men.

I will also need contact of a very good private reproductive endocrinologist in Lagos.
I need it urgently.

Thanks a lot.

Good morning.
Yes you can take it throughout the cycle.

Hope your dh has done SFA and all is well?

Hi
He has done it and he's fine. We can't just pinpoint what is causing the delay in conception.

Did your doctor rule out endometritis?
Have you tracked your cycle to confirm you ovulate? That's either with Tvs or ovulation test strips?

In the meantime, also add vit b6 to the folic acid and vitamins

Good morning ma'am, Endometriosis has been ruled out. Tracking ovulation with OPKs.

I read here that but b6 should be used after ovulation, can it be used throughout the cycle?
Thanks.

Have you been consulting with a gyne already?
Are you on any medication/supplements?

Vitamin C and E, folic acid.
Consulting with a gyne before this covid-19 brouhaha, but everything has taken a back seat except coronavirus.

Teey2019 are you on any form of contraceptive measure? If yes! These symptoms are indicative of a particular measure,no cause for alarm. If no! See a Gynaecologist: I suspect early signs of Fibroid.
I wish you goodluck.

Thanks a lot for your response.
Not on any form of contraceptive. Been TTC for over 2yrs now.
Did scan last month and it was fine.

Good day mamas and papas.

Trust we are all holding on well.
I must say, this journey is so filled with many ups and downs.

I need insight on an issue, I don't know if anyone has experienced this.
For two cycles now, I have noticed a deviation from my normal cycle.
I had ovulation-like pains in my left lower abdomen, just two days after my period. This pain went on till after I ovulated proper and just stopped abruptly.

Fast forward to 12 days past ovulation all my PMS symptoms vanished. I used to have very strong and intense PMS symptoms at least one week before my period, and the PMS lasts throughout my period. The first time it happened, I was so surprised I went into a panic. Boobs just went from heavy, tender and sore to normal no pain at all and no single cramp at on the 12dpo.

13dpo I experience a strong pain in my lower left abdomen then AF comes later accompanied with nausea and fatigue.
Is this something to worry about?
Is it normal for PMS to just vanish like that?

Please help a sister, I'm really worried.
Thanks.

It has been proven that TTC depression is worse than if one has AIDS. Miscarriage causes PTSD. Infertility depression is nothing to toy with, it is real, stressful and emotionally draining.

Now, I'm not saying this to scare anyone, I'm just stating facts and the main reason why you don't need toxic people and thoughts to add to the issue on ground.

My advice?
Anyone or anything that will get you down emotionally on this journey, move far far away from them. My boss stopped his mum from coming to his house cos she is always crying that no baby yet.
I don't know why oh, but more than 80% of couples I know had issues conceiving so most times we encourage and advise ourselves all the time. We even joke and laugh and make fun of each other good-naturedly (yes we make fun of each other cos we understand how this journey can be)

Even when anyone ask how are the children, I boldly tell them I'm trying to conceive and they reply with wonderful reassurances.
One of my colleagues once told me in the lunch room that I'm not sad like someone who is trying to conceive, I looked her straight in the eyes and asked her if I should commit suicide cos I don't have a baby yet and everyone just called her an idiot.

Please, do away with people that will depress you and if anyone tries to make you feel low, educate them, just remember, you are not the first person TTC and you won't be the last.
Some people had worse issues than you, yet they had their bundle of joy, so your case won't be different.

Have faith in God, no matter what the doctor says, please have faith. You might have prayed and fasted but rather than dwell on what God has not done, remember those impossible things he has made possible and be strong that he will do this too.

Whether anyone informs you of their pregnancy or not, whether you are invited to the naming ceremony or not, mummies and Daddies, pls do what makes you happy. Don't give people a chance to hurt or frustrate you.

Seeing AF each month just annoys me and makes me want to throw things, sometimes, I lash out at hubby. So many emotions one can't describe, but in those moments, I take deep breaths, then I remember family and friends who have gone through this phase and are rejoicing, I read BFP success stories on here and smile and tell myself, yes it's gonna happen to me too.

Sorry about the long post. Just wanted to encourage someone.

1. my af was few days late and contained (sorry tmi) ewcm and slippery clots and I had cramps throughout. It's a change from my normal flow and has me worried. Before af came, I was having pregnancy symptoms and very serious backache only for all symptoms to cease completely one day and af came next day. Can anyone shed light on this.

Thanks.

Hormonal imbalance is usually the cause of this. You should have your hormones checked.
In the mean time, you can use tumeric and clove to induce AF.
Peel and soak the tumeric in water in a plastic bottle, together with the clove for at least three days. After the third day, start drinking. Take one quarter of a glass cup first thing in the morning on an empty stomach till AF comes.
Stop immediately AF comes, as continous intake might make period longer.
This was what worked for me when I had same issue, and AF came the third day after commencement of the drink.

Thanks a lot mama, I will try this tumeric drink for AF. And i plan to run tests soon. Thanks

You can run further test for infection and Hormonal profile. Hormonal imbalance sometimes disrupts one's cycle.

Thanks a lot mama for your input. I plan on seeing doctor for the tests as you have suggested in other to get to the root of the matter.

Thanks

Good day mamas, trust everyone is doing well.

I have a bit of a problem. I'm on cycle day 48, with absolutely no sign of Aunt Flo or bfp. I have done two blood tests, and one abdominal scan and all negative.

I have always had a regular 24-29 cycle days, never more, never less. Now for the first time in my life, I am 20 days late.

I and hubby have been trying to conceive for more than
a year now and I don't know what to think of this. I have moved from hopeful that I am pregnant and just praying for Aunt Flo to come so we can move on.

Anyone with this kind of experience and possibly solution as I am worried sick already.
Thanks.

Good day mamas, I'm new here.

Wishing everyone very joyful BFP soonest.
Please all, I need some advice. I had a serious case of gastroenteritis In January and was given gentamicin injection through the vein, since then I have noticed a few things
1. I used to have very very serious menstrual pain, so serious that I won't be able to function at all, suffice to say my life comes to a standstill cos of menstrual pain. But since I took this injection, the pains has reduced by 85% that I feel like dancing whenever I am on my period.
2. I also noticed that I'm having increased white milky virginal discharge (sorry tmi) throughout my cycle, like I'm still discharging heavily on the day of my period. We have been trying to conceive for 6months now that I thought I might be pregnant the first time it happened (but AF quickly cleared my doubts)

Could it be a bacterial or yeast infection (I have never had an infection before)? No fishy smell just slight discomfort due to the volume of discharge. Please has anyone experienced this.
Should I begin to panic?

Thanks
