One thing visa applicant shouldn’t do is giving ECO any doubts, just reapply and explain other money in your account.

Sponsor yourself and don’t let your sister support you, your sister supporting could show to the ECO you are not financially ok. It’s under age and older people support are good for.

Run your account well for 6months, start with a good opening account balance, no lump Payment and make sure your payslips correspond to your salary going into your account.

Also defend the refusal reasons in the new application section of if you have been refused before, with all that you good to go.

Okay ..thank you

What sort of advice do you need? If you want to finance the trip then you will find it difficult to convince the ECO because of your take-home salary is low.
..
Okay..so what is your advise
I just don't want to make another mistake...what should i do as regards the finances..you know better and that is why i am asking

The money from your daddy and your aunt reduces your tie to Nigeria, obviously without their contributions toward your trip you will not be able to finance this trip comfortably and that is a problem.

Okay. So i guess i will collect my thrift contribution when re applying...

Please i just need your advise

How much of your own money is going into this trip?

380,000 from my dad and 100k from my savings and this was explained with a cover later which the Eco was okay with but the issue was the 300k In may, 2019 which we did not explain

My aunty is the one inviting me and in the later she stated she will accomdate me and take care of my expenses and ticket back home and she backed it up with her bank statement.

My actual salary is 120k , after tax , pension and thrift contribution my take home is 80+

Attached is the refusal letter

Hello @justwise and to other gurus in the house
Am new here and I need your advise, I picked up my passport yesterday and i was refused based on the deposit of money received in my account May 2019 which was about #300,000 when my monthly Salary was 80k. Apart from the 300, 000 (200k and 100k received that month) My dad sent me #380k for travelling allowance which we backed up with a letter and I guess the ECO was convinced.
So the issue was #300,000 from an unknown source.
Kindly advise how I should re-apply and the necsasary info I need to address the refusal
I am planning on re -applying God willing
Thanks.
Attached is the letter I received

Please am in need of the next thing to do..how do i address the refusal. Plan to re-apply

Did your aunty give you her statement of account to show this 2500 pounds sitting comfortably with extra? What was the proof that this money is available for your immediate use at any time?
anyway your application was not well done.
You are an adult working and can not fund this holiday youself. The ECO is afraid you will become a nuisance and probably fall on the UK’s public funds.... they dont want that..
Even though you stated that your auntie will be sponsoring you, the visa officer would ALWAYS take into account your own financial circumstances in Nigeria here before allowing you to come to their country.
If ur closing balance is 540k and out of this was a lump sum of 300k my dear this is a problem.
also 18 days is alsoooo such a long duration for a vacation which you are not able to sponsor yourself without your auntie’s help...

Yes she did and we submitted her statement of account
So what do you advise when re applying and ways to address the lump sum of 300k. I was able to proof the lump sum my dad (380k) gave me and they has no issue with that.

I understand we failed to proof the source of fund for the 300k as that was an oversight.

1. How much was your closing statement
2. How much did you write that you would be spending on this trip ?
3. What is the purpose of the trip and especially why the 18 days?

Thank you for your response.

The closing balance was #540,000
My Aunty is the one sponsoring me and she wrote 2,500 pounds. She sent me the invitation letter
The purpose of the trip is vacation and the 18 days was the number of days i was taking as leave at work.

MsSeyifunmi:
I have personally used shoptomydoor and i can surely say that their services has improved tremendously. The fact that i can shop on different platforms and save up to 60% of what MyUS, Fedex, DHL and others charge is amazing. I have my peace of mind because i get a 100 percent refund if anything happens to my item. I will recommend them any day anytime.

tbn, you are very correct. I am really impressed with shoptomydoor, their services is top-notch. I have used several shipping companies in the past but I must say Shoptomydoor beat them to it. I have referred many of my friends to shoptomydoor and their experience so far have been wonderful. My items are always delivered safely and in good condition and even if there is an issue (which rarely occur) they would always find a way to resolve it Asap. so so impressed.

Keep the good work going shoptomydoor, you guys rock!
