FarahAideed: It cannot be just for close quarter fire. Mind you those DSS guys equally use f2000, galil rifle and p90 depending on their operations. TAVOR Built around a long-stroke piston system (as found in the M1 Garand and AK-47), the Tavor is designed to maximize reliability, durability, simplicity of design, and ease of maintenance, particularly under adverse or battlefield conditions.[5] In 2009, the Tavor X95 (also known as the Micro Tavor or MTAR) was selected by the IDF to gradually replace the M16 assault rifle and M4 carbine variants as the standard-issued weapon of the Israeli infantry by the end of 2018. The first X95 bullpup rifles were issued to infantry units in 2013.[6] Both the IWI TAR-21 and IWI X95 are part of the Tavor family of rifles, along with the Tavor 7. With the numbers of fights Israel Defence engage in year in year out you will only ask yourself how they could function so well if the rifle is solely for close range. With Israel planning to make it the only infantry weapon by end of this year. .check am nah. Interestingly, the Nigeria navy now use Favor. 5 Likes |

Education / Nigerian Scholar Develops Most Accurate Pricing Model For New Products by Tennyrank(m): 4:15pm On May 09, 2018 |
A Nigerian Scholar, Develops World’s Most Accurate Pricing Model and Equation for New Products. 127 years after Alfred Marshall, in his book, ‘Principles of Economics,’ established and popularised price elasticity of demand which indicates that when price increases, demand falls and when price falls, demand increases, a Nigerian scholar, Prince Dennis Kadiri has found a solution to the problem of inappropriateness in pricing decision making. In his new book ‘New Marketing for Developing Nations,’ he developed the n-curve of pricing model and a PPF equation which helps to stabilise the price elasticity of demand, when applied. This pricing model with its equation, has been adjudged, the most accurate pricing model of all times. When applied, it gives you the true and exact price which a product should be valued at the marketplace. This fresh marketing model is mainly designed to solve defined marketing and economic problems. The innovation has been tested and confirmed as appropriate for use by both private and government organisations. A highly respected Professor of Marketing in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Prof. Justie Ody Nnabuko, described this innovation as iconic. She therefore, recommended that marketing academics, scholars, practitioners and state cum national economic planners should give the work serious attention in such a way that it can be applied in businesses all over the world. One of the common problems that most manufacturers come across when introducing products to their markets is that of determining suitable and appropriate prices at which the products can best be sold in order to make desired profits and as well as sustain established level of demand for the products. Such problem of inappropriate pricing policies is one of the problems which n-Curve of Pricing model is developed to address. It helps organisations to obtain Optimum Profit Value (OPV) for the sale of their products and as well as ensure that consumer patronage (demand) is encouraged, using ‘price’ as the determining variable. The n-Curve of Pricing model, hence, holds that the price of a product should be placed where price and level of demand will meet at the best point; where the Optimum Profit Value (OPV) for the product can be attained; where the best result can be obtained from the sale of the product at such price; and, where competition can best be challenged. The PPF Equation is given below as: P = Price per Unit D = Level of Demand X = Market Output Cp = Cost of Production by Volume PV = Profit Value When applied at the macromarketing and macroeconomics levels, the n-curve of pricing model and other related innovations that are developed in the book, can help to positively reposition any cascading economy. It is therefore, suggested that Nigerian government and other African countries, sought for these innovations in order to enhance the growth of their economies. The eleven-chapter book, has provided reliable solutions to most of the problems facing the economies of developing nations. Some of his new postulations, featured in the book, include: Marketheology, Pupillage Workforce economic model, Civil-Switch economic model, Industrial Market-Network model, Out of the Hook Marketing Thoughts and Proposals (for the industrialists of developing nations), Economics Marketing, among others. Prince Dennis Kadiri is from Enwan, Akoko-Edo LGA of Edo State, Nigeria. He is an author of more than twenty good books including Marketing Simplified for Senior Secondary Schools (Government approved textbook for senior secondary schools in Nigeria). He can be reached on prinspalace450@gmail.com. P x D = X-Cp = PV

All is now set for the most popular boxing fight in recent times when 27 year old Nigerian-born British Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua takes on veteran heavy weight champion, the Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko who has dominated the heavy weight boxing world for over a decade. The fights is scheduled to hold at the 90,000 seated venue of the historic Wembley Stadium. Both boxers pride enviable records including Olympic gold between them. Klitschko's, 41, won the Olympic gold in Atlanta 96 while AJ is he is usually called by his fans won the gold on home soil in the United Kingdom in 2012 Olympic.. The Ukrainian boxer who earlier in his illustrious career beat the first African heavy weight champion, Nigerian Samuel Peters, boasts of enviable records thus: Fights : 68 Wins. : 64 Draw. : 0 Losses : 4 Knock Out : 53. On his part, AJ who has a tattoo of map of Africa with Nigeria marked out on his most lethal weapon, his right hand has done pretty well in his career to be the IBF Champion. His stats are quite inmidating as u can see below: Fights. : 18 Win. : 18 Draw : 0 Loss. : 0 Knock Out: 18. The fight promises to be an interesting one with viewers from about 140 countries across the globe waiting patiently for this cracker. While Klitscho wants to redeem his image of the loss of his titles to AJ's country man, Tyson Fury in 2015, AJ's task is to defend his IBF title as well as claim the vacant WBA title. It is interesting to note that whatever be the outcome of the fight, whether win draw or lose, AJ will be £15 million richer. If he loses, there is a clause for immediate rematch but if he wins he will be open to a fight WBO champion, Joseph Parker or WBC king, Deontay Wilder. Meanwhile, the match is likely to start about 10 pm on Saturday. The exact time is not yet known because it will be determined by the length of time the earlier matches schedule for the same venue will last. We wish AJ good luck as he plan to move higher in his career. Sky box office will show it live. If DSTV is not showing it. You can also watch it on your android. Politics / Soldier Killed By Boko Haram Buried Amidst Tears by Tennyrank(m): 9:12pm On Mar 15, 2017 |
On 15th March, 2017 is a day the family of one of the soldiers fighting Boko Haram will not forget in a hurry. Their son, Alao Daniel Sunday was buried in the Military cemetery in Maiduguri. The Edo born soldier was killed by Book Haram along Cameroonian border on 28th February, 2017 just 13 days after his troop was redeployed to Maiduguri to join in the onslaught against the insurgents. The soldier had earlier survived attack by the same terrorists group in December, 2015 where he was the one of the few survival that fateful day. He spent several months in hospital. On his recovery, he was taken to his State, Edo where he has been entertaining his church members with his master touch of piano, being a very good pianist. On valentine day, he had posted on his Facebook page ALAO DANIEL SUNDAY that people who see him often in Benin were wondering if he was still a soldier and said that he was going back to Maiduguri and urged his friends not to miss him that he is helping them to miss him. Little did he know it was going to be his last post on Facebook. Our reporter who took time to view the soldier's Facebook discovered that he had written two poetic post in the past on soldiering. He was loved by his collegues , friends and family. He was handsome and cheerful, but that cheering face will his family and loved ones never see again except with their minds' eyes. That is the supreme price those soldiers fighting for us to live, pay on daily basis in the battle field. But this is usually under reported. The media including social media reports only death of officers but the soldiers lives matter too. Let us wish this HERO RIP on his Facebook page ALAO DANIEL SUNDAY so that the family will know his sacrifice is appreciated

Crime / Re: Road Safety Officer Carrying Guns? (see Photo) by Tennyrank(m): 6:53am On Mar 01, 2016 |
It is quite unfortunate that anything happens in Nigeria. I have never seen in any part of the world where traffic control/safety official bear arms. We are here complaining about proliferation of arms yet we are creating avenues that will let arms into the hands of criminals. Tomorrow you will hear of accidental discharge killing innocent motorists. You will hear that a deployment of those "combatant" as they call them, are attacked by hoodlums and their arms carted away. Growing up then police used to effect arrest with baton and people dreaded them but over the years as society decay they started carrying rifles every where as if Nigeria is in a state of emergency, yet they are not garnering the respect even with their extra judicial killing of innocent Nigerians. Until corruption crept into FRSC, it was respected and feared even more than police on the road by commuters even as they were not carrying arms. If they feel insecurity along the road, why not stick to the way they have been going about it I,e operate just side by side other security agencies around the police or military check points. I might be wrong in my assessment but my take these days is that road safety officials contribute more to accidents these days than averting same. In that regard, they are more involved in the revenue generation for the country through issuance of driver licences and other permits. If they were alive to their responsibilities Nigeria would have seen a goldmine in the revenue that will be generated from trafficking offences and spare the roads of some mad drivers like it is in other climes. Yes, there are some law enforcement agencies that must carry arms, like NDLEA. Fight to curb drug trafficking or peddling all across the globe is not a jolly ride. But must we now arm all other enforcement agencies? No. I can assure you that now that road safety is allow to bear arms VIO will be pursuing same as well as Fire Service. That is the kind of country we live in and the kind we want to leave for our children's children. We must rise against arming FRSC |

Well, it is quite unfortunate that because of some maneuvre, an intelligence cum security organisation in Nigeria could be starve of allocation. How do they expect the organisation to work. I was discussing with some CIA guys the other day while i was in North Carolina, and it will be shocking how much is usually expended on covert operation. Do you know that a prototype of Osama Bin Laden house was built in US for simulation. If PMB feels that the top management of the secret police is compromised why didnt he changed the management from the word go and put his loyalist instead of withholding their allocation. Report reaching our source reveals that the Director General of the Department of State Services, Ekpenyong Ita has been replaced by a reired Director of the Nigeria Secret Police, Lawal Daura, a kinsman of President Muhammadu Buhari. Already, tongues have been wagging over PMB appointments so far, especially after announcing the acting chair of INEC. Well, i call to the Spokesperson of DSS, Marilyn Ogar to comment on the development was futile as the call did not go through. This appointment is coming on the hills of eight earlier appointments so far made by PMB with the north clinching 7 and this latest one makes it 8. What matters most is for him to be sure that he is getting the best especially considering the fact that Daura was said to be the unseen hand with Lt Gen Dambazzau in the imbroglio at the Villa. we hope a fresh air will be breath into DSS NOW. We wish Daura goodluck in the onerous task ahead of revamping DSS to be one of the world's cherish intelligence organisation who operates covertly 1 Like |

Sure, Nigeria is still swimming in the ocean ethnic/religious ego-centrism. We see supremacist ideology in display every now and then at the national level. My cries have always been, "let Nigeria practice true federalism", then a whole lot of issues like this will take their natural course. Not a bad one, though, was not a balanced assessment as there were genuine concerns in the cause of some of the environmental right activists that we all generally referred to as militants |
Sports / Enyeama Shuns NFF, As Keshi Awaits Ruling by Tennyrank(m): 10:12am On Jun 24, 2015 |
Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama was conspicuously absent yesterday when the Organizing and Disciplinary Committee (O&) of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) sat over‘provocative remarks’ regarding Kaduna as an unsafe venue for Super Eagles matches. Enyeama Enyeama However, Super Eagles Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi who honoured the invitation which was largely centred on his alleged bias in the selection of players told journalists after appearing before the committee that he was not worried about the issue because he had told them all he knew about the matter. Keshi who stormed the NFF secretariat in company of his manager Emma Ado said his main concern at the moment is how to adequately prepare the Super Eagles for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Tanzania in September. “What is on my mind today is the next AFCON game against Tanzania and how to defeat them in September. We thank God for the victory against Chad in Kaduna, the next should be how to consolidate on that victory that should be our target now and not who said what. On Vincent Enyeama, Keshi said, “I only know about myself; that I needed to be here today, but for Vincent Enyeama I don’t know about that.” On the listing of his name for the job of the Elephants of Ivory Coast, Keshi again said he does not know anything about the Ivorian job even as he rejected any suggestion to drag the fellow West African country to court. “I have said it before that I did not apply for the Ivorian job because I have a job which I am happy with. But talking about court, I will not do that because my name is everywhere and if I take them to court will I also take Kenya and Ghana to court? That is the experience of every coach in the world.” The NFF had summoned Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama over comments he allegedly made about the Kaduna venue for the game against Chad. I personally feel Enyeama is wrong because he is a role model to some people out there in the country. Is that what he expects from the younger generation? Sure, he apologised via his twitter handle, but steps he has taken thereafter are damaging. If he wants to retire from international football he should that in peace rather than insult Nigerians, through the NFF. Though, NFF has her blame, it is the executive and not the institution. What is your take? |

Politics / Oil Prices, Opec Meeting Without Diezanni by Tennyrank(m): 8:26pm On Jun 04, 2015 |
The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries OPEC is set to hold a crunch meeting at Vienna on Friday 5th June, 2015, which has the capacity of changing the face of the economy of many countries including Nigeria. However, this parley will be held without their substantive President, the most maligned Nigeria's former minister of Petroleum Resources, Alison Diezani Madueke, who lost the lost her seat on 29th May, 2015, following the inauguration of Mr Muhammadu Buhari as the new president of Nigeria. The 12 member organisation had elected Diezanni to lead the organisation with effect from January 2015, being then the Nigeria delegate to the organisation. Many had speculated that she spent billions of dollars to win the position in order to give her credibility in the international circles, in the face of unprecedented corruption allegations against her and her luxurious lifestyle of affluence in a country were over 50% percent of their graduates are unemployed, with people living with less than $1 a day. But as fate will turn things, Peesident Goodluck Jonathan, whom people felt was staunchly behind Dieziani in all her exploit lost his reelection bid to a former military head of State, Muhammadu Buhari. This means her losing her moat cherish position of minister of petroleum resources and by implication President of OPEC. I can assure you that this is not going to cause OPEC nightmare as they have an alternate Peesident in the person of Dr Mohammed Bin Saleh All Sada, minister of energy in Qatar because the meeting is expected to discuss oil price and its impact on economy. Al Sada, already voiced his support to increase the price to $100, immediately Venezuela, one of the founding members of OPEC, aired their frustration over the current price. Most Oil producing countries want the change but the problem seem now to lie in the shadow of Saudi. The question is, in the absence of a substantive minister of petroleum resources, who will be Nigeria delegate to the all important meeting? Rumours have abided that President Buhari may act as the minister of the ministry considering the widespread corruption that has greeted the sector, where oil subsidy that was allegedly manipulated by profiteering oil marketers grounded the country before the inauguration. As we watch things unfold, it is most likely that the permanent secretary in the ministry, Jamila Shua'ra will represent Nigeria. But has she got the charisma to push for the change in price of oil? We will wait to hear from Vienna |

Crime / Foreigners Recruiting Fighters For Boko Haram by Tennyrank(m): 5:43pm On Mar 15, 2015 |
We are getting reports of foreigners recruiting unsuspecting people to join Boko Haram to fight the military in Nigeria, who are enemies of Islam. Two of my friends have been receiving messages on Facebook on the need for Muslim brothers across the world to join forces with Boko Haram in fighting the military. One of such message is from a Russian who is currently schooling at Nosiri Khuvsta in Tajikistan. It is a common knowledge that Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) formerly known as Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) employs strategy of recruiting members from across the globe to fight for ISIL. Of recent we have observed movement from US UK France to join the fighters. It is worthy of note that my friends that received the messages also heard from the guys that they will be coming to Nigeria soon. This is coming on the heels of Boko Haram pledging alliance to ISIL and d later acknowledging same. I call on all well meaning nairalanders who might have received similar messages to give details so that we can inform our security agencies. We will not allow Nigeria to be war ground. This is against the background that if such foreign recruits start their devilish stuffs, western interest could come bombing every where. Let us stop the 2015 breakage insinuation.
