When some one is too fat and heavy, what quickly comes to mind is obesity and then, weight loss. It is very disturbing and worrisome to be heavy and fleshy, hence, the need to look for ways to slim down, which is simply weight loss.
Obesity generally means more than an average fatness which also means being fleshiness. It could also means people being very fat in a way that is not healthy which could lead to medical threats like heart disease.
