Cheers, as of today [s]no one has given figures to the population of public & private sector workers who aren't being paid regularly, therefore u and I are discussing based on undocumented stats[/s]. Personally , I know that some States are far behind in payment of workers and some others are doing it on time but we can't conclude that it's a normal thing for salaries to be unpaid, except we are not being accurate(I'll update if I can collate the states affected). Hm I'm startin to wonder if american media is built on presenting falsehood as fact to us, here i was thinking judge Judy is real cause when the show is being played the first words we hear are "The cases are real, the judgements are real" but you know your country more than I do. Trump, Trump, Trump! uncle is serious about this migration policy and most people affected by it are not of white origin. Foreign policy seems less brutal on Europe than others, tot this will create bad blood between races internally, or might not, o well, whatever.

Mr A comes on the show to sue Mr B for $600. Both of them are paid $5k each for appearing. Mr A wins, B is forced to pay him $600 so A now has $5600 while Mr B has $4400. If B wins, they both keep their $5k. Cases are real, judgments are real but do you see the banter? Get it? Also, Judge Judy is retired. These people sign an agreement to make her the arbitrator of their case. That's all. It's like you and your friend signing a contract to make your pastor settle a small dispute. Read up on the show.

Now, stay on track. I asked you to tell me what Trump's policy on racial integration is like you claimed. Point it out so I can learn. What is the policy on racial integration?

Sometimes, you should hold yourself responsible for the conclusions you draw from what you read or see on TV. I don't support Trump or agree with a lot of his policies. The policies that have blatant traces of discrimination and stupidity have been thrown out in court many times (look up the ban on Muslim countries and the separation of families stuff for example). Foreign policies seem less brutal on Europeans because they abuse immigration laws a lot less than others. Put things into context and perspective.

Finally take some time to understand what I write before you mount a counter-argument. I didn't normalize non-payment of salaries. I've said it before, many people won't understand what the quality of life people abroad try to tell them is until they spend time in a system that really works.

Write "Buhari is nothing but a stupid slowpoke, You are the most stupid president we've ever had" to him on twitter and you'll see people say "don't let them come for you ooo". See? People are normalizing mediocrity. I'm surprised you're defending it but hey, you're free to have any opinion wink

I've been a silent reader, laughing at the passion u all have for and against your countries. This is a topic close to the heart of many. People want to know what living abroad feels like compared to Nig.(try youtube) But the comparisons here are not accurate. These are the worst case scenarios in Nigeria, what's the worst case scenario in America? Who watches judge Judy? people be suing others for $20 sometimes it's crazy. Back to topic, Nigerians this is how u compare things to be on the fair side. What's Trump's policy on racial integration, I heard America is more divided now than before, here Buhari is not paying much attention to federal character as he should, that's one of the reasons people are angry, same way minorities are angry with Trump. How has this affected daily living among minorities?

First of all, these aren't worst cases in Nigeria. These are things that happen to the average citizens; everyday life. We're not talking about people in the villages where education or basic social amenities are non-existent. We are discussing life for the average person.

I hope you know Judge Judy is just banter? You get about $5k for appearing on the show, So... they are all clowning themselves on there. Yes, you can take people to small claims court but don't let what you see on Judge Judy trick you. Also, what's the point you were trying to make? What's wrong in suing for money owed? I think I missed the message. Please explain it to me.

Trump has a policy on racial integration? I didn't know. What does it say?

The people I pity the most here are the creative minds that have no clue how making full use of their potentials can liberate them forever. See intelligent people slaving away for employers and even having to beg for salaries to be paid. How can someone work for months, not get paid and nothing is done? It baffles me.

You'll see job advert, asking for you to have crazy qualifications and years of experience and they'll offer you 50k Naira a month lmao. You'll even hear people saying "if you don't take it, others will". They've already accepted stupid practices.

Mediocrity has become the norm. The day you move to a reasonable country and you take a look at the rights you have as a human being and how strictly these things are enforced, that's the day you'll know you're wasting your life away defending mediocrity and absolute BS in Nigeria.

Rich man will go to barracks, bring 3 soldiers to beat the crap out of you because you hit his car on the road and nothing you can do about it. Ah! Come and try it here lol.

Here to share another experience. So, after doing strong head for months, I finally got an iPhone X from a guy who badly needed the money. Good deal for $400.

I was home fumbling with the phone o. Trying to fit it into a case. Before I hear anything, the buttons were pressed together, phone entered power mode/call sos, kia kia, it was dialing 911. I panicked and ended the call after one ring.

3 seconds later, I got a call lol. I was not gonna answer but my friend told me if I didn’t, they would assume I was in trouble, couldn’t speak, trace my location, and send cops to come and save me from whatever the issue is.

I hurriedly answered the call lol. “Hello, this is the Dallas police department, we just got a call from this number”. I told them it was a mistake, that I just got a new phone and the phone dialed 911, etc. They said ok, laughed, said goodbye and hung up.

Taxpayers’ money works. If I was genuinely in trouble, they would have arrived on time to save my big black ass.

You'll get your stuff back. Contact the airline, and take it from there. People make mistakes, don't let it ruin your happiness. Welcome to America. cheesy

Good morning gurus in the house,

I have a question that has been bothering me. Almost all the people I see getting approval have one funding or the other from the school.

I will like to ask that if someone don’t have a scholarship of any kind, what are the chances of getting Visa approval? Or am I having a wrong impression?

Almost the same chance. With or without scholarship, the standard questions are the same. Burden is on the applicant to prepare and pass the interview. smiley

Which latrine this typical Nigeria goat come out from to spew sh*t on nice thread like this. She just wrote "If you truly like it there, I respect you and support your ministry" but as a dafti, your flawed sentimental bias and comprehension- ineptitude takes precedence over the fact before you. You have no business using intelligence in a sentence as thats an insult to intelligient people.
Ofcourse as a dullard, the truth the OP and others presents here convolates your sh*t filled brain.

If that cockroach IQ of yours is too low to appreciate her efforts at sheding light to matters then why not stoping fuxking and sh*ting around the thread. Or you think you have the monopoly of graphic words to oppress a lady?

I'm starting to think there's a different Nigeria for NLers on this thread. When you see stories on IG, Twitter, Facebook and compare to the testimonies of some people on here, it's like night and day.

See, if you're coming here to proclaim Nigeria as the land of opportunities, with milk and honey while in your heart you can't wait to get the opportunity to flee, you're deceiving yourself lol. If you truly like it there, I respect you and support your ministry. If not, get out of your ignorance and run for the sake of your future kids. They don't have to suffer for your ignorance.

There's no way in hell you'll live in the U.S legally without being lazy and not live a comfortable life. There are jobs everywhere and there's a lifestyle for every budget.

God bless America. smiley

So, I experienced first hand fire service response this past weekend. After driving until very late in the night, so I crashed at a friend's apartment who was gone for the night at her bf's.

At about 9am, a deafening sound woke me up. It was the fire/smoke alarms. Her neighbor downstairs had a grease fire due to carelessness. Lol, I sped downstairs through the smoke in the stairway without shoes on haha.

When I got outside, she was trying to get her phone to work. She finally called 911 to tell them about the fire. The fire response team got to us in less than 3 minutes. Took them about 15 minutes to put the fire out and blow out all the smoke.

I was all in my feelings about how efficient the emergency service was and was already criticizing Naija in my head. I talked to my brother in Lagos about it afterward, then he told me about Lasema and how efficient they are too. He told me they would have also reached the scene in 3 minutes and put out the fire. I'm proud of Lasema if it's true they're efficient (If not, I hope they get better), fire is nothing to play with.

So, added to the list of reasons for enjoying my life here: smoke/fire detectors/alarms. It could have been a bigger fire and nobody would be there to wake me up lol. Thank God for them!!! cheesy

You spew insults and hatred because I rightly called you out. You resort to insults because you have nothing concrete to say. I will not follow you down that road but I will stick to the facts. It is strange that you see yourself as an African American but yet you champion Nigeria's cause. Which one are you, Nigerian or African American? I am proudly Nigerian and will never identify as African American because that is not who I am. You have already lost your Nigerian identity by identifying as African American so your arguments are moot.

You will do yourself a favor to consult an actual lawyer and not get your facts about law from TV shows. A cop is allowed to pull you over for 'reasonable suspicion' even when no traffic violations were committed. A cop however has no right to search your car without a warrant but he can pull you over.

When I am in Nigeria, I have absolutely no problems stopping for a policeman. I do have problems with a policeman asking me for a bribe and I stated as much if you bothered to read my post before rushing to insult me. Also I have a problem with a policeman searching my phone and laptop without a court order because it is illegal.

If you answer this post please be an adult and respond without insults.

This is a very intelligent comment. Every part of it. The U.S is a country of laws, the cops like you said can pull you over for probable cause. A cop has no obligation to tell anyone why they're being pulled over and the law states that when you're pulled over, you must present license, insurance and registration upon request. It is standard.

Another good read...

ZUBY77:
Departure Port, MM International Lagos.

Straight to immigration checkpoint, i was directed to one old man in particular whom they said handles the FIFA FAN ID Travellers. The moment i was directed to him, i knew something was fishy.

He brought out one list of names and threw it in front of me.
"Is your name on this list?" he fired.
I smiled. "What list is that Sir?"

"Are you asking me a question on top of the one i asked you? His face changed. Silly uneducated rogues and Small time criminals. Taking criminal advantage of whatever position they found themselves.

" If your name is not here, you are not going to Russia. All the money you spent will be a waste".

A look at the top of the list and I saw Super Eagles Supporters Club.

"But sir, this is the list of government sponsored supporters club. I am not one of them, i am sponsoring myself to Russia to support my country. So if you stop me from crossing here, the appropriate authorties will know about this". I said.

"Are you threatening me?" he asked.
I looked up at him, "It is a shame if you see it that way, but i dont care. I am still in Nigeria, so i am not stranded yet".

"Just find us something and go your way". He said.
Other people were behind me and they knew i was not going to let anyone jump ahead. Some of them were going ro Russia too. I would have normally given these rogues some money and continue but i wanted to give voice to the younger people behind me. I was sure some of them struggled to buy flight ticket ro Russia. Atleast they needed to know the forged list was thrash.

Well, i opened my small hand bag and brought out 5000 naira, handed it to the old man and said, "I am just giving you this as help. Stop this stealing you people do here at the airport".

I was eventually stamped off to go to Russia. But before then, there was the custom too, the NDLEA and one other group who all saw when i paid immigration. They all believed it was their right to be paid too. And this happens everyday in a country we believe would become good in the near future. It was just a shame.

I'm sure it would have cost them nothing to make him miss his flight if he refused to bribe. Smh!

I'm not even bothered about the patriotic defenders. If they like it where they are, I wish them well. I post for the casual or unsure readers. Those who don't know what's on the other side. Those who only know what they see everyday in Nigeria and have no idea what an organized society looks like.

My cousin from my mother's side moved back to Nigeria from the West, since his arrival, he has not been able to find his feet, he came back with several professional certifications and cash to setup a business, everything went down the drain, as I post this article, he is leaving finally back to the West and he has vowed never ever to step his foot in Nigeria, l don't blame him, Nigeria is beyond redemption, those who have ears should hear, if you are not as rich as Dangote, Otedola and all the useless criminal politicians that have stolen generational wealth in Nigeria, don't dream of coming back to this dead country called Nigeria, , those who want to be patriotic can continue but for me, Nigeria is a useless shithole jungle fit only for pigs to live, nonsense grin

I understand. There are stories too about people who saved up to go live the life of comfort back in Nigeria but got a very hard reality check. The saving grace is some of them didn't burn bridges and were able to run back when things didn't work out. Your cousin is lucky to be able to run again.

As for me, the stupidity in Nigeria is the reason I'm never going to live there again. I can visit and spend time there because of family (Max I'll ever stay there is 10 days) but I'll never ever consider relocating no matter what. Look at the absolute nonsense people say on here all in the name of patriotism. Lmao!
