I remember many many years ago, when A Lastma official jumped in my car, at Oba Akran, and I carried him all the way to Ogba-which was even away from my own direction- until their bike guy and pick up ( with oga) caught up with me. I Don't discourage people from wanting to travel and explore opportunities. What I discourage is

1. Japa mentality- Japa means to run away, which is such a cowardly mindset. Many assume that they will stop facing challenges when they Japa or that the challenges will be easier. But overcoming challenges begins with your mental and internal environment not your physical one.

2. Even if you must relocate, never totally uproot yourself. Don't sell your inheritance or all the stuff you sweated for, just to transport yourself. Don't burn the bridges that where supporting or sustaining you. Have investments here that you can come back to or can even support you over there in that country where you will forever be a second or even third class citizen.

3. Instead of Japa, from Naija to another country, I prefer to be a global citizen. Make the kind of money and status that can allow me to travel to any country I wish anytime I want. And come back home whenever I want.
