if and when you leave Nigeria, you'd know how much life has cheated you...or how unfortunate you've been staying inside Nigeria
Yet, many Nigerians in the Diaspora, even those with Passports of their resident countries, desire to return home. Maybe it has to do with the level of unfortunateness you experienced in Nigeria, but Dangote, Elumelu, and Otedola, like many others, are not thinking of how to Japa.
There is nowhere in the world right now without some unfortunate crisis or issue to deal with., Ultimately, there is No place like home.
I focus more on certifications is what is limiting my career and my success till date 😢
I will train my son to fight for two or three things in life to he up and doings.
Certificate Skill Trading.
because I was trained in only certification way is d only to become successful in life but today certificate is 2% edge for u to become a millionaire
Mom It’s never too late for you to evolve and grow.
But as per your son, I agree . Apart from developing his academic/intellectual abilities , I also want to ensure my son has developed excellent skills in a creative, sports and/or vocational area before he is done with secondary school.
That’s why countries like Germany are still so relevant , their education covers both whitecollar and vocational education.
Obi’s plan was also to remove subsidies, so shush.
The situation would have been the EXACT SAME THING today.
Everybody knows Subsidy should be removed.
But who removes Subsidy before they step down from the inauguration stage? If not Someone that was high on his inauguration or something else.
Who doesn’t call to order , the petroleum marketers who triple prices overnight , even when subsidy payments for the next one month had already been budgeted for?
Who doesn’t admit that there is still Subsidy even after the IMF has confirmed that there still Is.
That person, for sure , is Tinubu
And don’t you tell Me that Obi would have taken such a rash, hurried and insincere approach to Subsidy removal, because non of us know that for sure.
BucketMan: Hello guys, please I need your advice. I'm currently in a dilemma on what to do with my life presently. I'm a lawyer called to the bar in December 2022. Afterwards I practiced in a law firm for 6 months before resigning due to the meagre salary and harsh work environment. I just couldn't keep up, Although I can confirm that legal practice was very terrific but it's something that you can only enjoy if you're well paid at the Law firm or company you work with to effectively maintain the standard expected from you.
I've been jobless for 8 months now as all the efforts I put into securing a job ended in futility. I'm thinking of going for my masters degree(LLM) instead of staying idle at home with my parents. I think by doing this I can keep myself busy and improve on my career academically while also trying to find a good job in today's Nigeria.
Serious advice needed please
How will he pay for the masters without a job?
Will the masters significantly improve His chances of getting a job?
If the ultimate goal is to get a job , why not aim t get a job first? People who have not even finished secondary school and even drop outs are working at google , Facebook etc.
Focus less on getting a certificate and more on getting a skill that van add value to people and organisations.
Lekan239: freezer running constant on inverter of how much. Is ur setup over 10m naira, or else he go shock you soon
The inverter is 3.6kva. The solar works during the day and batteries at night, assuming there is no light (we usually have light shortly before dark and all through the night)
In any case I have a 3 year warranty, with proper use and maintenance which the installer will carry out.
So if there are ever any issues, it is the supplier, not me that will be “shocked”
This MAY be because your husband, doesn’t want to be the in the UK. He has left all that made Him feel like Himself behind. Now He is starting from scratch, in a manner of speaking. He is having to deal with new kinds of issues , And He is becoming a shadow of Himself, he is losing his energy and zest for life , thus becoming unattractive.
Love800: What do u mean by inverter AC and inverter freezer? Does it mean the main inverter dat powers the other appliances is different from inverter AC and inverter freezer?
They are energy saving and don’t consume as much as the regular ACs and Freezers.
abdeefggh: The Senator representing Anambra North Local Government, Senator Tony Nwoye has handed over a Tech Innovation and Computer Hub Building to Aguleri Community in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state. His tweet on X ;

Well done.
However, a building and computers don’t make a hub, it’s the Human Resources that do.
Has he also paid for the Human Resources, data and prototyping tools that the innovation hub will need?
Let me give you a recent costing based on what I installed myself.
3.5kva pure sine wave inverter - 370,000
220ah Luminous tubular batteries x 4 - 340,000 x 4 = 1,360,000
120amps charge controller - 340,000
Circuit breakers - 95,000
Used Canadian 410w mono solar panel - 8 x 95,000 = 760,000
Cables - 25m @ 4000 per m = 100,000
Battery rack - 12,000
Solar installation rack - 15,000
Flexible wires and other installation materials - 40,000
Installation fee - 95,000
Total = 3,187,000
What the above solar system will power:
3 smart TVs 1 inverter deep freezer 1 inverter ac 6 energy saving bulbs 1 8.5hp washing machine 5 rechargeable standing fans DStv decoder
But the freezers, ac, washing machine should not all be turned on at the same time and it must be during day time when the sun is shining. Once it's 6pm switch off your ac and freezer to save your battery so it can last long
Thanks for confirming because I am really not an expert just a user/customer .
An yes, some of the stuff I Mentioned will hardly ever be on at the same time. Deep freezer is the only constant, cos I need to stock perishables.
DaddyRochie1642: It's over one year I lost my mother to stage 4 breast cancer, the breast cancer was not detected early,
- I remember that day very clearly like it was yesterday, - It was on a Sunday morning, she was responsive their on her hospital bed, she was even smiling with the doctor attending to her, - I was there, my younger brother was there, my older cousin was there, we were there by her side, the doctor attending to her left, - Few minutes after the doctor left, mummy closed her eyes, - We immediately rushed and called the doctors to the situation, the brought their machine for CPR, the machine couldn't detect her pulse/vitals, - She was pronounced dead after several efforts. - I couldn't believe I just saw mummy die before my eyes, - My younger brother went nuts right there in the hospital, my older cousin shed tears, his eyes were red, I was too shocked, I just sat down beside her body and held her hand for over an hour, she was 52years old. - This memory plays in my head each day.
- My younger brother was never himself After mummy's passing, - He developed some kind of mental health issues, it was so bad for him, - My younger brother became a complete shadow of himself, this is someone that is full of Life and energy when mummy was alive. - Doctor said it was schizophrenia which was triggered due to the loss of a loved one as he was very close to her.
- With combined efforts, my younger brother slowly overcame the mental health issue, - Each time I look at him, I'm so glad we rallied around for him, I am so glad I played my role and stood by him at that low point in his life, I'm filled with happiness each time I see him.
- Witnessing a loved one die in your presence is a scar for life, it can damage a person for Life.
You can share your experience if you wish, it is not an easy thing to talk about.
So sorry to hear this.
My mum also died of breast cancer when I was about 9 years old. But it was not in my presence.
That must have been something.
Thank God for your brothers healing and restoration. And for you guys who stood by Him.
May you continue to heal with peace, equanimity and acceptance.
Premium tears loading except these appliances won't run simultaneously.
No they wont all be on at the same time.
The laptops will be on mostly during work hours , the when the ACs will most likely not be on. Two ACs will never be on at the same time, remember, they are inverter ACs. All fans will Hardly be on at the same time some Are for work space others are for living spaces which do not work at the same time. Certainly all the energy saving bulbs will never be on at the same time. E.g Security lights only come on at night.
The priority and constant for me is the freezer to stock fresh goods/save costs -and its an inverter freezer.
But Boss can 2m get me this in this current economy
With about 1.7m you can get a 3.2kva inverter with 4 batteries and installation. But the price is going up everyday. Can power 1 inverter deep freezer and 1hsp inverter AC, smart TVs, fans, laptops, energy saving bulbs etc
Whilst you are thinking, ask about the budget and put the money in dollars
Then conclude your investigation and continue
Anyway, if you are in the South East, I can link you up with the guy that installed our own
It is a heavy investment, for 3-bedroom apartment, you may need minimum of 3 million to run it
Duplex, you should be talking close to 10 million.
I stay in a duplex. I am installing a 3.6 kva inverter with solar which can carry two 1 hsp inverter acs, 1 inverter deep freezer, Smart TV, 20 laptops, 4-6 fans and over 20 energy saving bulbs for about 3m+
It’s not about the type or size of the house but what you want to power.
Truvelisback: Good day, fellas. Considering the hike in Fuel and Nepa bill coupled with epileptic power supply in Naija. Now, guys using Solar energy instead of Nepa or Gen. How do you guys do it? What type do you use? How do you manage it? I'm thinking of using solar but i would like you to share your experience.
They are installing solar in my house as I type this.
My aim is to reduce my use of PHCN power by at least 50% and Generator by at least 90%.
I will come back and tell you my experience after two months.
So far, I can say I have achieved this.
EDIT:
Four months on, it’s still the best power related decision , ever.
