- I submitted proof of funds, 6 month bank statement, employment letters, pay stubs, and W2. - I submitted my work authorization documents indicating I was in the US legally. - I submitted the filled and signed travel history form and schedule A. - I submitted the PCC from FBI - they also wanted proof of my employment back in 2018-2019 from grad school So letter from supervisor and commitment letters for each semester I worked in school. They acknowledged submission over a week ago but that’s it. My case is in Ottawa so we’ll see and yh, I’d be happy to connect with you. Philtos: 1 Like |

Given that health insurance would not cover your medicals, I wouldn’t redo it unless asked. All my friends here in the US who got PPR didn’t redo medicals (I strongly believe they are extending the medical validity for US-resident applicants). I got an ADR too and there’s no medical request. So I’d hold on unless they say so or you have the money and just want to get ahead of it. Philtos: |

navidennis: Between the time I applied in 2020 and when I was asked to fill a schedule A(last month), I’d lived at 4 different addresses, thanks to my job. Just fill everything in. Put it. Change of address has no negative effect on your application as far as I’m concerned. 1 Like |

Hello everyone. I submitted my application in August 2020. Did biometrics in Sept 2020. I had upfront medicals so I was good. Last month, IRCC mailed me asking for lots of information to make a final decision they said. - 6 months bank statement and PoF - Schedule A/Background information form -Travel history - New police certificate In all, they received over 100 pages on documents from me. I may have been extra in my response because I submitted everything they could ask, think, or imagine especially as a temporary resident in the US. Submitted bunch of proof to show I was still in legal status in the US; W2s (for taxes), employment letters, paystubs, work authorization documents… Having done that, does anyone know what’s the TL to expect a response? Case is in Ottawa office. 1 Like |

I’m US - based and my brother used my Statements. I don’t think it’s an issue if your sibling is legally situated and working. We provided my statements and my paystub for 4 months to show consistent inflow of money. Also provided offer letter… and it worked out well. You’d be fine. mancinho: |

I’m sorry, what ![]() ![]() ![]() I think it’s a good advice to ask a woman who’s married to declare the truth about her marital status but she’s not mandated by no laws to change her name. My friend has not changed her name after marriage and no one had issue with it for her application. Submit evidence of a bonafide marriage: marriage certificates, pictures. Include your husband’s name in your IMM form for family. makano: 2 Likes |

Tinakem: This is true. What students would be allowed in for is if they have not been in the banned countries for 14 days. Citizens and PR don’t have to go isolate somewhere for 14 days, they just have to get a third country test, Nigerians and other banned countries have to go isolate somewhere for 14 days prior to arrival. I know tensions are high but this has been confirmed prior to my brother’s trip and even before he boarded. As long as you haven’t been in the banned countries 14 days prior to Canada arrival, you will be let in. 2 Likes 1 Share |

gustav25:You should learn empathy. The fact that you are ‘logical’ is not mutually exclusive to empathy which you haven’t shown. Emotions are high, people are devastated. You’re putting your application in, don’t you think you’d be affected. Picture this, Africans are not that significant number of intl student and as it is, only a fraction of the continent is banned you think schools will modify their instruction mode just to suit the discomfort of less than 10% of their classes. You must think that we are that indispensable. Even Indians with the high pop of intl enrollment in Canada when they were banned had to find a way, no one moved mountains for them. Be empathic. You can be logical and realistic yet empathic. It’s not one or the other. All the best in your application. You would need it 20 Likes |

Guys, let’s focus on way forward. The other guy probably has absolutely nothing to lose hence the pessimism and the trolling. The best bet is going to a country where Nigerian passport works and staying there 14 days before moving to Canada. Now it will be verrryyy cost intensive. I’m almost sure they would not ban a country like Mexico: even though it’s almost 3rd world, it’s still a North American country. A Canadian visa is valid for entry into Mexico if you’re staying for less than 30 days. I’m seeing eVisa for Turkey too. So, let’s get thinking on our feet. What’s the way forward? He who wants to troll is allowed to. What’s the way forward? 10 Likes 1 Share |

The knee jerk reaction to the new variant is similar to the same panic with Delta variant that led to India ban. They just punish citizens of these countries even though we all see the virus is everywhere. I hope they lift the ban and put in place the mandatory quarantine instead. It makes much more sense. 5 Likes |

PPR alert. My brother got his PPR. I’ve been following since the last thread. Happy to testify on this thread. May 14 applicant Upfront medical and biometrics in May. We submitted all documents we could think of. I’m his sponsor while he’s covering his logistics. A year bank statement from me (USD $24000), his 5 months bank statement. A letter of reference from a superior, statement of purpose, birth certificate, school certificates, proof of both our employments and that’s about it. -We sent a couple of webforms and also his tuition receipt over time. We just decided to start hounding them every other day when we got approved today. Thank you to everyone who has shared and kept our hopes up through this journey. Wishing everyone waiting the best and the strength to hold on even when it’s exhausting. Congratulations to every PPR receivers today. It’s upward from this point. Amen. 46 Likes |

Hi guys, So my friend had issues with her i20, there was a server fluke and the DSO didn’t get an update on her admission status for a long time. When she did it was June ending and the program starts Aug 14. The visa date she got is Aug 10, is it advisable to apply for expedited interview date or should she just go through with it on that date. Thanks |
