Politics / Re: Africa Is Poor, because Africans Dont Believe In Organised Capitalism by therealpeace: 2:14pm On Jul 04, 2020
MrBrownJay1:

look around you...!!!! the majority dont give a fukc about poor Africans or these bastards polithieves, so long as they make money for their own pocket.
furthermore these elite dont care about African hospitals because they fly away to the west (where they believe they will get better medical care) as soon as they need to go to hospital. do you know why? because they CAN. only poor Nigerians would use these hospitals you dream about.

ok let me educate you about hospitals in the US, since you seem to be clueless about the issue:
in the US, you need to have MEDICAL INSURANCE in order to be attended properly. if you aint got medical insurance, most of these hospitals would turn you down and away. if you get shot (or into a life threatening situation) for example, they will patch you up and send you away but no care will be given to you FOR FREE. 99% of these hospitals get paid from your medical insurance...so you get free care and the insurance companies pays your bills. if you think that these hospitals make money from poor people then you certainly dont know what you are talking about.
in Europe, we pay thousands of €€€s in taxes directly from our salaries, which gives us access to free healthcare. so my taxes is paying for these hospitals to be able to pay the doctors salary etc. only people who go to these private hospital are RICH people. no single private hospital is making money from poor people or unemployed hungry people.

so you are saying that rich people should invest in what YOU want them to invest in, and they shouldnt use their own brain/desire to decide what they should invest in?! who are you to dictate what a person should invest their hard earned money in?! what right do you have to demand for such?!

thats because these African Gov dont want to give local builders money to build hospitals. do you really believe that if the Nigerian gov gave a billion dollars contract to Julius Berger, they will refuse building hospitals in Nigeria? come on bro, use what you have between your ears...

Nigeria spend billions in fast food, in brand new TVs, and travels every year... whats your point?!

since you believe the above is either A) very easy or B) a great business idea....
why dont you sell electricity then and make money from it, Mr smart man?!
why dont you create your internet company and put fiber optic cables under the ocean and make money from it, mr smart man?!
any fool out there knows that its cheaper to import air conditioner from China OR drugs from abroad than to build them in Nigeria

stop running around the issue trying to find BS to talk about...1st you were talking about creating hospitals (which should be built by the gov, not individuals)... now you are talking about TVs, internet, smart phone and travel. majority of Nigerians have internet provided by a local company AND majority have mobile phones. whats your damn point? do you now want Nigeria to create mobile phones too (while its obviously cheaper to import/buy chinko phone)?! lol!

you are confused and since you want to read half of what i write OR derail this discussion with irrelevant rubbish that has NOTHING to do with your "hospitals", let me post again what i wrote so you dont hang on to rubbish.... i said:"when people wont be hungry and have jobs, then you can tell them about wasting their hard earned money to build hospitals...until then, all what you are writing about is nonsense!"

who do you think these foreign citizen in these foreign countries (that you are quick to compare to Nigeria) depend on, if not their gov?!

then ask your own family to start a farm and show the good example, instead of expecting all Nigerians to live their lives the way YOU desire. to each their own lives!

again, nobody is expecting free stuff from the gov, they are looking for food/jobs.

hungry/jobless people dont have much else to focus about...if your life is different then go build these hospitals you are talking about and give these hungry/jobless people a job....see how it works for you.

there are plenty of farmers in Nigeria, there is also plenty of problems with farming in Nigeria (fulani herdsmen etc)... expecting everyone to go into farming because thats what you believe is right, is a joke. i doubt the millions that move to Lagos for greener pastures every year want to be farmers.

its the gov job to provide constant electricity to the population, and if you really believe that the electricity problem in Nigeria can be solved with $50M (per every 100K citizen) than you are more daft than you initially portrayed. imagine the rubbish you are saying... Nigeria has a 200M population and they should spend $50M for every 100K citizen, abi?! bwaaaaaaaah!

do you have $50M or do you know any lga of 100K citizen who has $50M for its citizens? better yet, why dont you walk around in your neighborhood and ask your neighbors how many would like to chip in for the $50M power plant that you are talking about, and see how many kobos you will receive, lol!

people like you are living in La la land...the only solution to the Nigerian problem is to get rid of these useless people in power! expecting Nigerians to do what the gov should be doing with the Billions of oil money revenue and little taxes etc, is the joke of the week!!!!!1
If you approach this guy submission with an open mind, I believe you will be less dismissive. You can start from acknowledging that forinstance our revenue as a nation is about half of what city of Los Angeles budget in a year. What do you expect government of 200 million people to achieve with such meagre resources? despite our infrastructural deficiencies. I think a lot of us need to heal ourselves from the misconception that Nigeria is rich then we can start to see things differently and clearer. That will surely help us think up better solutions. Might not be a great supporter of capitalism but I dont think we should throw every ideas into gutter because of our misguided opinions

Politics / Re: Nigeria Failed African Development Bank by therealpeace: 11:56am On May 31, 2020
bilms:
Nigeria failed African Development Bank
By Abdulrazaq Hamzat

At the inception of the African Development Bank, it was agreed that at no time, will none Africans be allowed to intrude the organization so that it can focus solely on the development of Africa without foreign vested interest.

Actually, this was contained in the law establishing the bank.

As the giant of Africa and largest shareholder in the bank, Nigeria became the only country vested with veto power to safeguard the bank's mission and make tough leadership decisions.

However, in 1981, the bank's board of governors comprising of participating countries turned around, against the bank's rule to seek none Africans equity participation.

All members supported this error, except Nigeria. Actually, as the only country with veto, Nigeria was ready to use its veto to block this abberation.

But according to Nigeria's former president, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, the president of the bank threatened to resign should Nigeria veto the proposal. All participating countries also mounted pressure on Nigeria for two whole year to support the proposal.

Even some members of the cabinet in Nigeria, who were lobbied also mounted pressure on the president at home to support the proposition.

At the end, fearing that the bank may collapse should Nigeria not take the destructive, but popular route, Nigeria eventually didn't use it veto against it.

This was how the African Development Bank was killed.

I am of the opinion that, Nigeria's veto power is supposed to be used to take the most difficult action when it is absolutely important to do so.

It makes no sense to have African Development Bank that is controlled by none Africans.

Leadership is responsibility. If you cannot take decisive action and take responsibility, you have no business being in leadership.

It would have been better for Nigeria to use its veto, even if the bank would collapse. At least, it would be on record that it collapsed on principle and Nigeria took the decision it had to take, not minding the consequences.

It is even possible that the bank would have gained more strength from such action, because by that action, the imperialist would have known that there's real leadership in Africa, thereby reviewing how the continent is perceived.

But now, what is the essence of the bank when it could not even operate within its own laws, nor meet its own objectives as a result of undue interference by none Africans?

For me, if Nigeria cannot provide the kind of leadership Africa needs, there's no point pretending to do so.

Let's withdraw and focus on the country and allow those other countries deal with their own situation.

When we are better equipped to lead the process, then we can reorganize.

Leadership is not dictatorship...

Whose children are those shouting black lives matters all around USA?
I think you should know that every Nigerian should be shouting Nigerian lives matrer to our leaders since 1960. Blacks in the US are asking for equal right, meanwhile Nigerians have no right at all. There are more reported case of police killing Nigerians than police killing blacks in the US. An average black American is more comfortable around police than an average Nigerians around police...so unfortunate we are not demanding for change like the black life matter movement. The only way to Salvation is to obey the law of God and live a life of good deeds. Do not deceive yourself by believing someone had died for your sins. Every man will be judged according to his deeds on earth
As Christians we believe human is incapable of good deeds but through the death of Jesus on the cross we received grace and power to do good deeds. That is why Christians don't tag sin with different value and weight it against equivalent good deeds like they do in our brother religion. As Christians, having received salvation (capacity to do good) through the death of Jesus we strive to get better, we work toward perfection i.e try to become sinless. Meaning that you are not trying to cancel out your good deeds with bad deeds but you work such that only good deeds count for you berore God...You can now imagine what your good deed rating will look like speaking from our brother religion point of view

You don't get that from all players. In fact, M10 just like to spoon-feed his teammates so he can get the praise for being good!

If Makinde is really serious about LAUTECH issue let him call real estate eveluator to evealute the scholl and split it according to individual investment since the state went there different ways in 1991. Let Oyo devise way to pay Osun her worth of investment or better still sign agreement thay give special consideration to some % Osun indigines eg. instate tuition or certain % recruitment. Infact that Osun is paying 500 million from her meagre allocation to Univeristy located in another state to me sound insane...Same reason why Nigeria struggle to split despite that we were brought together in the first place to serve the purpose of a slavemaster. We are always resistance to change. Osun gains nothing from Lautech simply let it go...500 million will better be spent developing University of Osun that will impact directly on the people of Osun

A times I suspect that Fulani leaders are delibrately sponsoring fake accounts on multiple media to divide us more...they are individuals that sponsor divisive post for no reason than to set us against each other. Two reasons why they rejected their offers
1.) They don’t want to sell him at a loss
2.) He’s their most advertised player, which in turn brings them revenue, so they won’t just let him off the hook easily. Its a shame people think Mpabmpe is a better than Neymar. Neymar is by far the most entertaining Brazillan footballer and possibly the most entertaining player to watch. Mpabmpe has great talent for sure and is happier at PSG than Neymar is, hence has been on a better form of run than Neymar. Ever seen Mpabmpe dazzle past players with ease like Neymar like does or make defenders look like amateurs undecided
Mmappe scored more goals last season only than all of Neymar's in PSG career. No serious coach will choose Neymar over Mmape

Politics / Re: Will Any Government In The World Sit And Watch A "Revolution" Protest? by therealpeace: 3:44pm On Aug 04, 2019
koboko69:
Revolution definition from 2 different dictionaries;

1. rev·o·lu·tion

a forcible overthrow of a government or social order, in favor of a new system.

synonyms: rebellion, revolt, insurrection, mutiny, uprising, riot, rioting, rising, insurgence, insurgency, coup, overthrow, seizure of power, regime change;

2. : a sudden, radical, or complete change
a fundamental change in political organization

especially : the overthrow or renunciation of one government or ruler and the substitution of another by the governed

While I am strongly in support of freedom of speech and association, I really don't think any government in the world wouldn't act on organizers of a protest which have been widely publicised as a "REVOLUTION" protest.

In my PERSONAL opinion, a better adjective or word should have been used for the so called protest.

Occupy Nigeria is a good example
The 2 face 1 million march which he later called off is another.

Whats your take?

This is coming on the heels of the purported arrest of Sowere.

This is another definition you omitted "a dramatic and wide-reaching change in the way something works or is organized or in people's ideas about it"

Secondly, those places are undeveloped because the government neglected them not because they chose to be underdeveloped. I'm a town planners and I am telling you this authoritatively.

Thirdly, let's agree, for the sake of argument, that DT is right. There are a thousand and one ways to say the truth and fact than to rain insults, abusive and derogatory words on people.

Lastly, as a leader there's a minimum level of morality and diplomacy that's expected of you. He's a model for all their youths. What kind of legacy is he laying for future generation.

I rest my case.
Who are the leaders and government that neglected and left black people areas underdeveloped? Same leaders that Trump is attacking, and ofcourse attackingTrump back. Same people that pretend to like black people are the same people that left black people in shithole. Chicago, New Orleans, Baltimore, Detroit, and black Africa countries as whole are all dirty and infested...It is hightime somebody call us to order...Senators like Cummins should not pride himself in just donkey years spent in senate but he should be ashamed of predicament of black people in his domain. GISpro:
I don't mean to belittle the work of Lagos State Government. It's just that were not judging Lagos in the right context.

We only think Lagos is superb because we're comparing it to our neglected rural areas.

The Nigerian system allocates 80% of it's resources for urban centres. So in South West only Lagos and Ibadan share not less than 50% of federal development allocation. Add that to all the extortion from public toilets, toll gates, NURTW and stuff. We should be getting a city like Ankara, Johannesburg and Cairo.

For example that Sango to Oshodi road should be nothing less than six lanes on each side.

My point is Lagos is not close to what it should look like.
Lol...na you generate your fictitious data, analyze am, come still use am draw conclusion and recommendations. I think one of our bane as a country is that a lot of people in government are working on the kind of fictitious data you generated. Federal government allocation to Lagos and Ondo are about the same, I dont understand where you got your 50% from. Let us even assume you are right...Federal government allocation to the whole of southwest yearly is an average of 250 -300 billion as a gross after debt servicing doubt if the whole of SW earn more than 150 billion. 300 billion ~$800 million. 60-70% of allocations will take care of overheads...salary and co. How do you think any government will build Ankara or Johanesburg with that kind of Meagre allocation? For your education , State of Florida budget for 2019 is over $ 90 billion...This is a well built up state with just about 21 million people...But you want to build modern cities witj meagre $200-300 million. Wrong assumptions are usually the reasons why passionate leader get to power and struggle to pay salary for 8 years. Time such leader should have used to generate income generation ideas has been used to make mountain out of a mole hill. It is hightime Nigerians understand and realized how horribly poor the country is, so that we can stop voting empty heads with grandiose promises.

No lies.

But he's the VP, and part of the government claiming integrity, and advocating patronage of Nigerian things, which also includes our educational system.

Having your kids school abroad, as the no. 1 (yes Buhari did same) and 2 citizens of the country only sends the message that our educational system is bad, and rather than try to salvage it, you'd rather patronise outside. So why make imported rice and tomato pastes contraband, if you see it fit to educate your children abroad? You don't like the educational system, I don't like homegrown rice, but you're forcing me to eat it, while you have your way with your children.

It's insane, and such thing is native to Nigeria alone.
This your attempt to criticize the VP makes you sound unintelligent. 1. It is not like Nigeria universities are suffering from lack of students, infact the universities can only admit less than 10% of those that are qualified and applied. 2. If anything we need to get more rich people to ship their wards abroad to create space for children of the less priviledge who will still struggle to fund the highly subsidized Nigeria univerisities. That Osinbajo sponsored his kid to UK university will not hurt anybody except his purse. Unlike the parallel you are trying to create here, kids in foreign university is different from blind importation that could kill local industries. If every rich person choose to sponsor their wards to foreign universities, indigenous unis will not close down, infact they will benefit tremendiiusly from such...more space for poor students. To sound political a bit, I dont think Osinbajo kids should bear the brunts of PDP's 16 years destruction of Nigeria universities. On a more serious note...politics and political parties have very little to do with the decay in our universities...aside that the country is poor and cant fund a standard university education the way our system is structured, our universities leadership are not bringing much to the table...Univerisity lecturers declare strike because of demands that are not feasible. I dont think Osinbajo, Buhari, or Atiku's kids should suffer for the sin of a failed system and country.

Is it not Ironic to you that the state with the most churches in Nigeria, Edo, is also the national capital for protstitution?

Prosititutes are abbreviations for damaged women. No one is born a prostitute, the church churns out millions every year like an assembly line.

It all starts with wooing of the parents to attend church, convincing them to allow their children to attend late services unsupervised, then pouncing on the isolated vulnerable child when the path is clear.

This can never happen among Muslims, never. True Muslims would kick against any attempt to allow their children to be alone with any strange man, despite his zeal and faith. Islam has laid out principles that dictate the interactions between men, women and child.

How many Hausa or Fulani prostitutes can you find in Lagos, in spite their homeland poverty? So dont use the poverty excuse. You pervs in disguise are exploiting these girls because you can and that is the ugly truth.

The truth speaks for itself. Haters gonna hate.
Edo has the highest number of moslems in the South south maybe that is why the place is the headquarter of olosho. Back in OAU I still remember how innocent girls were rescued from Awo hall imam...a lame student oh. The said imam married, covered, and camped 12 girls inside less than 200 squared meter mosque cut ou of former cafeteria...without the knowledge of the parents oh. Yet fellow moslem worship there 5 times a day without saying a word. How many more million of girls have been cornered by imam all over that are kept unreported by moslem faithfuls? While Fatoyibo story was ongoing, multiple of cases that involved imams and alfas raping underge were reported. While Christians condemn there randy pastors for sleeping with young adults 18-25 year olds, moslems ignored their Imams and alfas raping 5-year olds yet some of you shamelessly put your mouth in christian matters. imagine, an average Moslem like their peadophilia prophet marry 12/13 year olds freely yet individuals like you are saying trash...even 5 year olds are no more save with moslem in Nigeria. And for the record every olosho runs girl have an alfa that help them with jass, and that is why Edo is notorious, meanwhile we read stories of how Northern moslem are being molested in Saudi, Oman, and Qatar. infact moslem men are also sodomized....I understand that all of these shameful acts are just step after the prophet..a rapist and peadophilia that only got lead by his loins. everything about the prophet have to do with sex, sex...76 virgins etc.

Truth is, if every raping pastor is brought to book, not a single church in Nigeria will stand, and I emphasise, 'not a single'.

Most of these pastors justify rape as their entitlement. The congregation owes them their lives for having been saved from hell. And since the church is under their name, the churchs admins must remain quiet or be forcibly removed, like in all private companies.

Being a pastor is the quickest and easiest way of living a grandoise life with all the trappings of wealth and not having to defend anything you do or make. The impunity afforded to Nigerian pastors is like no other, and like all such power held by man, it must be abused.

Pastors are usually the first to disvirgin prepubescent girls who later on become prostitutes, after feeling failled by the system of "god". These girls are molested literally under the nose of their ever zealous parents, whose fear of the church is more than that of God.

Its the rebellion of most of these girls that we see millions becoming runs girls. Theyve been abused young and scared for life.

To think that you are moslem whose adored prophet is a rapist and a pedophile with records of sleeping with his cousins and nephews including animals like donkey and you have the gut and morality to write the rubbish you wrote...You no dey shame? or you no dey think? To now imagine that the subject matter under discussion have to do with an innocent young Christian girl that was carted away by zealous moslems. Your post only confirmed what I have always thought about moslem...How can any sane individual follow a pervert like your prophet. ofcourse I dont expect any sane person write what you wrote against pastors considering your background, religion, and subject matter under discuss. rubbish. shameless son of a pervert. #moslemshhouldreleaseleahsharibu. ode oshi
