Stock markets all around the world are responding to the coronavirus, same as in the US, the US stock market is even doing better than Europe and Asia yet some blockhead that knows nothing is here claiming economic pundit and wants to make it about Trump. Anyone that has any basic knowledge about the stock market knows that it reacts negatively to events like this irrespective of who the president is.

....The US stock market has now wiped out the entire $11.5 trillion of value it gained since Trump's 2016 election victory....Largest single day point and percentage drop since 1987....The actual numbers are worst: Dow fell 2,353 points (nearly 10%), its worst day since Black Monday, October 19, 1987. S&P 500 fell 9.5%. Nasdaq dropped 9.4%....The market collapsed because they know TreasonTrump is incompetent...

...Fauci before Congress: Testing is failing...

....Trump, one hour later: Testing is going great....

...This is why the markets have reacted this way...The guy in the White House is a compulsive liar...

Coronavirus: US admits 'failing' on testing, says Fauci

https://news.yahoo.com/coronavirus-us-admits-failing-testing-163422443.html

A top health official in the US says that the testing system for coronavirus is currently failing.
"The system is not really geared to what we need right now... let's admit it," said Dr Anthony Fauci from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. The government has come under fire as the US has conducted far fewer tests than many other affected countries. There are currently more than 1,100 confirmed cases of the virus in the US.

In an interview with CNN on Thursday, Vice President Mike Pence could not confirm how many Americans had been tested for the virus, saying he "would leave that to the experts".
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a total of at least 11,079 people in the US have been tested since January. However, government officials say they do not know the whole number, because some tests are being conducted by private hospitals and laboratories that have not been reporting in to the CDC.

By contrast, South Korea has tested more than 210,000 people and is testing nearly 20,000 people every day, while in the UK, more than 29,700 people have been tested, and more than 1,000 tests are being carried out per day.

Rudy's teammate Donovan Mitchell tested positive for Coronavirus.

Players from teams the Jazz have played within the past 10 days were told to self-quarantine, sources told ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. Those teams are the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors.

Since playing Utah… The Cavaliers have faced the Celtics, Nuggets, Spurs and Bulls. The Knicks have faced the Thunder, Pistons and Wizards. The Celtics have faced the Thunder and Pacers. The Pistons have faced the Knicks.

Those Jazz opponents have faced other teams. And on and on. The NBA is connected.

Brazilian official who met Trump in US tests positive

The Brazilian government’s communications secretary, Fabio Wajngarten, has tested positive for coronavirus. He was part of the entourage of President Jair Bolsonaro during his visit to the US, where he met President Donald Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence. Mr Wajngarten posted a picture of the meeting where he is seen standing next to Mr Trump in Florida on his Instagram page on Saturday. Brazilian media report Mr Bolsonaro is being monitored for symptoms. Meanwhile Mr Trump has said he is not concerned.

Analysis: Facing virus outbreak, Trump’s tactics fall short

https://apnews.com/3441fea7832f3c4a1e45efa87fa2f29e

NEW YORK (AP) — The escalating coronavirus crisis is presenting President Donald Trump with a challenge for which he appears ill-equipped, his favorite political tactics ineffective and his reelection chances in jeopardy.

A rare crisis battering the White House that is not of the president’s own making, the spreading coronavirus has panicked global financial markets and alarmed Americans, many of whom have turned to the Oval Office for guidance and reassurances. But what they have found is a president struggling for a solution, unable to settle Wall Street and proving particularly vulnerable to a threat that is out of his control.

In an address to the nation Wednesday night, Trump announced a sweeping travel ban for much of Europe as well as a package of proposals to help steady the teetering economy. But he continued to play down the severity of the situation, painting it as a foreign threat that soon will be banished rather than focusing on managing the growing number of cases at home.

“This is the most aggressive and comprehensive effort to confront a foreign virus in modern history,” Trump declared.

Addressing the economic costs, he added, “This is not a financial crisis, this is just a temporary moment of time that we will overcome together as a nation and as a world.”

The virus does not have a Twitter account and, unlike so many previous Trump foes, is resistant to political bullying or Republican Party solidarity. It has preyed on his lack of curiosity and fears of germs while exposing divides and inadequacies within senior levels of his administration. It has taken away Trump’s favorite political tool, his rallies, from which he draws energy and coveted voter information.

And eight months from Election Day, it has endangered his best reelection argument — a strong economy — just as Joe Biden, the candidate emerging from the Democratic field, seems poised to take advantage of a political landscape upended by the virus.

Latest news:

US markets fall on opening

The Dow Jones fell almost 6% on opening in Wall Street on Thursday. The S&P 500 opened about 4% lower, while the Nasdaq dropped almost 7% at the opening bell. The falls triggered an automatic 15-minute suspension.

All three major averages sank after Trump’s Oval Office address Wednesday night failed to satisfy traders who were hoping for more concrete steps to staunch any economic slowdown from the viral outbreak.

Trading had been temporarily halted early Thursday morning ahead of the opening bell, after all three major averages sank below the 5 percent “limit down” marker.

New York Prosecutors Believe Ivanka Trump Skimmed Millions From The 2016 Inaugural Fund

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/6668314-Trump-PIC-Complaint.html

https://www.politicalflare.com/2020/03/new-york-prosectors-believe-ivanka-trump-skimmed-millions-from-the-2016-inaugural-fund/

https://www.rawstory.com/2020/01/ivanka-trump-was-involved-in-inaugurations-inflated-payments-to-family-business-and-so-was-the-president-lawsuit/

A new government lawsuit filed in January alleges that Ivanka Trump illegally over-billed the non-profit Inauguration Committee to bilk expenses and benefit the Trump family. It doesn’t take an FBI agent with 30 years of experience to see that all that money pouring in, over $114 million for an inauguration committee, a number that vastly exceeded all previous inauguration funding, despite this being a smaller party. Rumors circulated that much of the money originated outside the United States, which operated as a big red light. Apparently that strobing right light proved too difficult to ignore, and the investigations started.

Mark Meadows Self-Quarantined After Exposure to Coronavirus

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/03/09/mark-meadows-self-quarantined-after-exposure-to-coronavirus/

Incoming White House Chief of Staff and Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) revealed on Monday night that he will self-quarantine, as he might have been exposed to someone who had the novel coronavirus.

Meadows joins a growing list of lawmakers that may have been exposed to coronavirus after attending CPAC two weeks ago.

Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Paul Gosar (R-TX), Doug Collins (R-GA), and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) have announced over the last two days that they may have been exposed to coronavirus after attending the conservative conference two weeks ago.

If two more circuit breakers are triggered it will shut down for the day.

Market-Wide Circuit Breakers

A cross-market trading halt can be triggered at three circuit breaker thresholds that measure a decrease against the prior day's closing price of the S&P 500 Index -- 7% (Level 1), 13% (Level 2), and 20% (Level 3) (See NYSE, NYSE American and NYSE Arca Rule 7.12).

There are three stopping points, the next one is 13% loss of overall value of the market, another 15 minutes. When the drop reaches 20% it closes for the day. Like the day after 9-11 but people want o-u-t.

U.S. financial markets plunged as trading began on Monday -- enough to trigger a temporary halt to trading -- amid fears over the economic fallout of the coronavirus outbreak and uncertainty over falling oil prices.

Stock trading resumed following a 15-minute halt on Monday after the S&P 500 plummeted more than 7% in the first minutes of trading. The halt was caused by an automatic circuit breaker safety mechanism that kicked in to prevent a free fall amid the sell-off.

Lmao,

Even Hillary Clinton won California,

If you run AOC vs Donald J Trump in California AOC will win,

That simply shows that Bernie Sanders has failed to expand his coalition given the four years he has been running for President.

Bernie cancels rally in Mississippi to focus on Michigan

Senator Bernie Sanders has canceled a planned rally in Jackson, Miss., and will instead travel to Michigan on Friday, a striking indication that his presidential campaign is shifting its focus to the Midwest and largely ceding another Southern state to former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., according to people familiar with the plans.

After holding a rally in Phoenix on Thursday night, Mr. Sanders had been scheduled to travel to Jackson on Friday for a rally focused on racial justice.

The change in plans suggests that Mr. Sanders will not challenge Mr. Biden for the support of black voters in the South — a vital base in the Democratic Party — and is instead going all-in on the Midwest as he tries to compete for the overlapping slice of the electorate made up of working-class voters. Black voters in the South have overwhelmingly backed Mr. Biden to this point, and on Super Tuesday, their support lifted him in states like Alabama, North Carolina and Virginia.

In Alabama, Mr. Sanders won only 9 percent of black voters, compared with 72 percent for Mr. Biden. Mr. Biden outperformed Mr. Sanders among black voters in Virginia by more than 50 points, and by 40 points or more in Texas and North Carolina. In several states, Mr. Sanders came in third among black voters, behind not only Mr. Biden but also Michael R. Bloomberg.

....Black voters make up 14 percent of the population in Michigan. Is he conceding that 14 percent to Joe Biden as well, will he even try to appeal to the Black vote there?...Bernie Sanders is not doing much to get the black votes...even Detroit will carry Biden, and also remember he isn’t doing well with rural whites anyways as shown in Supertuesday...but as they say in politics anything can happen between now and March 10...even Governor Whitmer of Michigan had endorsed Biden...https://www.politico.com/news/2020/03/05/joe-biden-michigan-primary-governor-gretchen-whitmer-endorsement-121929

Trump falsely blames Obama admin for hurting rollout of coronavirus test kits: Fact Check

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-falsely-blames-obama-admin-hurting-rollout-coronavirus/story?id=69410162&cid=clicksource_4380645_4_three_posts_card_hed

President Donald Trump is falsely blaming the Obama administration for the slow rollout of U.S. tests for the new coronavirus, ignoring his administration’s own fumbles in responding to the health crisis and mischaracterizing Obama-era policies.

His comments, delivered to reporters at the White House on Wednesday, come as many Americans are asking how they can get tested for the dangerous virus to ensure it doesn’t spread unnecessarily through communities.

The Trump administration has faced sharp questions by state governors and Democratic lawmakers for the lack of tests available to doctors and hospitals. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has acknowledged that its initial test kits didn’t work as designed and that new tests were needed -- delaying the government’s ability to detect and contain the spread of the virus.

This is not about socialism. African Americans are the most religious race in America. They are also the people most likely to vote against their interests.

Why would you vote for a bumbling senile slowpoke called Biden who has done nothing for the black community?

Sanders who has fought for civil rights fir black people and is still fighting against inequalities that majorly affect black people indirectly, is now ignored by blacks.

Accept it. Being very religious, especially in a secular country is a big sign of stupidity.

...Unfortunately Sanders did not improve on his result from 2016 among the black voters...also for Biden after his primary win in SC...shows 'free coverage' is better than 'media advertisement'(feel sorry for Michael Bloomberg)...

"In 2016, the Republican debates looked like circular firing squads. The loudest and most extreme candidate won. Trump, a Democrat until 2009, took the nomination and the presidency. Fascism came to America wrapped in the Flag and carrying a Cross. In 2020, the Democrat debates similarly looked like circular firing squads. The loudest and most extreme candidate seemed to win. The media proclaimed him the leader. The guy who in 2019, two weeks after filing as a Democrat for president, filed for reelection to the senate as an Independent. The media calls him a "progressive Democrat". He calls himself a Democratic Socialist. Believe him, Bernie Sanders is not a Democrat. Both Trump and Sanders campaign against the "establishment". In fact they ARE the ESTABLISHMENT. Both have been helped by Russia. They are two sides of a very dangerous coin. Thank goodness that most Democrats, and hopefully the Country this fall, will vote for an American moderate, even if he is a bit befuddled!"

The main factor is that the Democrats are all ganging up against him. How can he fight four people?

Buttygieg aka bootyman, Klobuchar, Beto O'Rourke all support Biden. That is 3 people plus biden.

grin it is like they want 4 more years of Trump. I have said it. Bernie or bust. If Bernie doesnt win the nomination, na Trump I go support last last. Maybe democrats need 4 more years to suffer before getting sense.

....Most Democrats are moderate...even DNC Senators and HoR candidates will want to campaign at the November 2020 with a moderate presidential candidate...Most Americans don't want some massive social revolution....

....Nobody is ganging up against Sanders...he is not a true democrat...always an independent who is using the DNC to cover up his socialist ideas...nothing wrong in that...he should have contested as an independent with a 3rd party other than the GOP or DNC...The political alignment and endoresement from Buttigieg and Klobucbar are normal within any political party...to give the best candidate who can move the party forward...

....Sanders made the mistake thinking he could win on his own...He should've reached out early to the other anti establishment candidates like Yang and Tulsi and yes, even Warren to do what the moderates did by consolidating towards Biden...instead he let his surrogates trash them all...

...If the GOP had done similar alignment in the 2016 primaries...Trump won't be president today...instead they let the primaries to go to a freefall...thus enabling Trump to capitalise on their disagreement...

...If you analysis Sanders results from 2016...he has not improved at all...compare the results below from his home state of Vermont 2016 and 2020 primaries...

2016 primary in Vermont, total votes:

Sanders: 115,900
Clinton: 18,338

2020 primary in Vermont, 99% of precincts in:

Sanders: 79,145
Biden: 34,408
Warren: 19,615
Bloomberg: 14,718
Gabbard: 1,287

....if Bloomberg and Gabbard weren't on the ballot...Biden could have gotten more of votes...

...African-Americans, old folks, independents, urban dwellers in the mid south states of SC, NC, Virginia, Alabama, Arkansas and Texas (before the primaries Texas was definetely locked down for Sanders)...came out to vote for Biden...well some analyst said it was because of the Obama effect when Biden was his VP and Jim Clyburn (South Carolina HoR) late endorsement last week before the SC primaries...

....Biden has won 9 states, more votes, used less money and got more backers than Sanders...Biden seems more popular with white voters and as such, stand a better chance of giving Trump a close contest if he eventually become the presidential nominee...

...if the democrats voted the way they voted yesterday, that even after the polls have been closed people still stand in line for hours to vote...then the Trump and the GOP have a huge battle on their hands in November...
