Foreign Affairs / Re: Egypt Devalues Its Pound, Loses Over 50% Against US Dollars by THeUNIFIER: 7:53pm On Mar 06 |
LegendHero: Everything no be politics my friend. I'm amazed at your inaccurate assessment of the situation at hand. First of, the naira devaluation wasn't spun from BAT's brain child. No. It was a suggestion by the IMF. The same IMF that urged FG to hike petrol price across the country. Secondly, I don't think you know anything about how currency devaluation works. To educate you on the subject, you need to know that whenever a country decides to devalue its currency, it essentially reduces the number of foreign currencies needed to purchase its own currency. For example, if the exchange rate between the US dollar and the naira is $1= #10 before devaluation, after devaluation, it might take #20 or more to buy $1. This makes the country’s exports cheaper for foreign buyers, thereby increasing their demand and ultimately improving the country’s trade balance; in order words making exports cheaper for foreigners and imports more expensive via currency devaluation. The potential downsides however are: 1. Inflation: our weakened currency has led to higher import prices, which in turn contributes to inflationary pressures in the economy. 2. Reduced purchasing power: A lower-valued currency means that we have less purchasing power when buying imported goods or traveling abroad. 3. Debt servicing: since a significant portion of our country’s debt is denominated in foreign currencies, this translates to increased debt servicing costs due to the higher cost of converting naira to pay off foreign debts. Knowing all these, I urge you to do your research before issuing comments like these on sensitive matters, reason being that there others who led by sentiments would readily accept the falsehoods you dish out. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Pictures Of President Bola Tinubu And Governor Sanwo-Olu In Qatar by THeUNIFIER: 10:27am On Mar 03 |
blancsn1: SMH, try to get some sense. The difference between that and this is that PO didn’t use “public funds” for those movements. If anything, it shows how prepared he was for the task ahead. Your drug lord, however, wasn’t. He came up with a manifesto he has long abandoned and resorted to trials and errors, showing his unpreparedness. Yet, you celebrate him at every turn. May shame catch you a little as well as the 30 other Yorubas that liked ya post. 1 Like |

Chrisrare: Look in the mirror, son. The atrocious things you accuse PO of were also adopted and executed to perfection by Mr. Emilokan. It is evident from the Mu-Mu ticket to the mass manipulation of the Yorubas. If you were cautious of these, you would have been more mindful of your words, but alas, you RONUlites are cursed with selective amnesia. Y'all only see what you want to and disregard facts when it doesn't suit y'all. Like how y'all kept hammering about structure and when PO decided to play that same game y'all were quick to call him a religious extremist. SHM |

CilicMarin: Why una no dey like reason well? PO just highlighted the fundamental problems bedeviling the country since time immemorial. The very same problem y'all pretend don't exist. We need to look inwards and start addressing issues like corruption, insecurity amongst others. Reason being that any small gains BAT makes will be quickly eliminated by these grossly overlooked problems. |

Politics / Re: Yoruba Ronu: Your Son Has Turned Nigeria's Economy Into A Desert - Buhari Ahmed by THeUNIFIER: 5:28pm On Feb 21 |
Nvestor02: U dey compare rubbish my friend, trying so hard to excuse mediocrity. I am yet to ascertain the logic behind your flawed reasoning. Do you know that the our leaders earn more than their Western counterparts but have little to nothing to show for it. Lemme point out while your comparison is stupid for the following reasons: 1. You are ignorant of what you speak of, prolly one misguided ethnocentric human who can't come to grips with the truth. 2. Some of those countries you mentioned are doing badly than Nigeria. And here you are using it as a metric to excuse the failures of your leaders. Do that long enough and we might end up like them or even much worse. We're here today because a lot of you were cheering for Buhari when he was senselessly borrowing with nothing to show for it and shamelessly excusing him for his failures. Now you're doing the same with Tinubu. 3. Of the countries you mentioned that are doing better than Nigeria, I want you to compare their minimum wage, standards of living/access to basic amenities. Nigeria pales in comparison. But you're quick to come online and start yapping about stuff you know nothing about. Like how many companies or businesses or organizations do you know in Nigeria that pays 30k per hour or per day for a day's work? Since that's the definition of wages and in the case of Nigeria it is SUPPOSED to be 30k. The cost of living keeps rising while people's salary and wages remain the same yet the same leaders who tell you to endure are the very same that are quick to increase their salary at every turn while you languish in poverty. The people are laboring much more than they earn meanwhile emilokan is insisting on taxing them to death in order to generate money when he can easily probe himself and past leaders withholding public funds. Lord knows I have never depended on the government for nothing. Even tho it is their to job to make life easier for Nigerians. If you study the world powers you will realize that they don't joke with their interests which heavily relies on them being great. Your leaders however no send you but out of sheer madness you choose to support them still while vilifying those holding them accountable |
Politics / Re: Yoruba Ronu: Your Son Has Turned Nigeria's Economy Into A Desert - Buhari Ahmed by THeUNIFIER: 3:36pm On Feb 21 |
Nvestor02: Forgive me for saying this but u no wise. You're no different from the clueless leader who's tone-deaf to everything around him. For starters whoever told you that Tinubu hasn't been borrowing? Worse still he borrowed to buy exotic cars for lawmakers, increased his and their salaries as well as their hardship allowances. Additionally, the so called subsidy hasn't been removed as he previously claimed. Courtesy of the IMF, we know he's been secretly paying for it without the knowledge of many... That said I'm grossly infuriated by your sentimental analysis of the cost of living in Nigeria to other African countries. Have you no shame for saying that? We are the giant of Africa for God's sake, richly blessed with so many resources not being utilized rightly. Rather than criticize your leaders for their shortcomings, here you are making up excuses for them simply because y'all cut out from the fabric. SMH |

REDshouse: Don't be ignorant. I don't tout PO to be a saint but he is far better than BAT. Tinubu floating the naira was due to the ill advise he received from the IMF. The man is bereft of sound ideas and relies heavily on trial and error. His so called manifesto was a hoax to goad sentimentalists like yourself into supporting him. And now rather than criticize him for the failure he is, y'all still dragging out PO like he's the one in charge. SMH |

hafeeanubasy: That's lazy research my bro. You are acting based on hearsay and not looking deep enough. To aid you on this course, I'll advise you to look at and compare their achievements, taking into account the condition of their states prior to their governance and the resources they had at the time. |

Lol. I can't banter with a dolt incapable of self reasoning. This is by no means an insult just hard facts considering the FBI themselves admitted to having said records and at one point wanted to reveal them. |
Politics / Re: Blinken Unveils Lekki’s ‘american Corner’ by THeUNIFIER: 10:20pm On Jan 24 |
hafeeanubasy: Lol. Do not be delusional my friend. I'm not in league with those who serenade PO as a saint. He's a thief like the rest of them but imo he's more viable than BAT. On the premise of government he performed better than BAT given the scarce resources he had to work with but I don't expect you to believe me since you're incapable of doing this simple research but will instead resort to spewing out the lies you've been sold that pre BAT government, Lagos was a desert. |
Politics / Re: Blinken Unveils Lekki’s ‘american Corner’ by THeUNIFIER: 8:31pm On Jan 24 |
frankson1: You'd be naive to think otherwise. The FBI themselves admitted to having his records and at one point wanted to make them public before doing the opposite. Do you honestly believe that America cares about us africans? They only care about their interests which is what the US secretary of state came here to discuss; the full extent of which we will never know.

Religion / Re: RCCG 2024 Prophecies By Pastor E.A. Adeboye. by THeUNIFIER: 7:39am On Jan 02 |
43Ronin: First of let me apologies for my harsh response prior. That said, I would like you to know that these beings are capable of feats unimaginable. In Gen 18, the 3 angels that visited Abraham not only had human forms but ate the food given to them. Surely they don't need it but it goes to show that they can imitate men in so many respects. As for why the angels fell to the sin of lust, you must know that angels aren't robots but sentient beings capable of thought and action. In other words, they were created with freewill like we are. It is this very gift that led Lucifer to believe he could overthrow Elohim while in heaven! In the case of the watchers tho, they were sent to guide and oversee the development of the human race but overtime they abandoned their duty to play the role of fathers. The takeaway? Angels can still disobey God if they want to. I implore you to study the Bible for yourself and limit external influence in your quest for the truth. In 2Thess 2:9-12, the Bible prophesied of a great deception which is at work today. If you're not careful, you may be swayed to broad way. |

43Ronin: Lol. You're not only neiscent, you're a brainless robot spewing out the garbage programed into him by the mainstream. I dare say that you can only ever come out of your ignorance by reading the Bible, fool! For it is the ONLY WAY TO KNOW GOD. It is not some "religious book" to be skimmed once a week as you have been foolishly led to believe. It contains our origins, the world's history as well as moral guidelines on how we should live. The bible tells us that Angels (aka messengers of God) are ministering spirits Heb 1:14. They are beings of great power capable of feats beyond human reasoning. A prime example is in Gen 18 where three angels taking the form of man, visited Abraham. Knowing this fact, do you now see how foolish you are? John 4:24 specifically tells us that God is a spirit. Not only is he a spirit, he has a name (Yahweh). It is stupid and utterly disrespectful of you refer to him as an alien or anything otherwise. Luke 11:24 tells us of unclean SPIRITS Mark 16:9 tells us of demonic possessions etc. On a final note, I wouldn't blame you if you still choose to remain dumb after this lecture. After all. Stupidity isn't a crime on Earth so you're free to do whatever you like with the info you've been presented with. 1 Like |
