Keshi is not a serious football coach. Moyes failed, was insulted and eventually fired. Did he go on TV to insult ManU, or press or football fans?

PerfectFortune: Nicolas Ibekwe has finally found a way to get public attention and become popular and it seems to be working for him already.

Press everywhere in the world receives money to write good stories about somebody or an events. The Briths do it through BBC while the Americans use the CNN and others. President GEJ employed one recently while the APC is also suspected to have employed the services of Sahara Reporters.

They call it image laundering....

You need a good dictionary swiftly. There's a huge difference between a Spin, a Propaganda and news report. Let's be frank, a doctor can also collect brown envelope before injecting his patient and claim it's gratis. And we blame police for mounting road-block? Nigeria jaga jaga

Politics / Re: The Cash, The Jet And Ayo Oritsejafor By Femi Fani Kayode by ThroneofMercy(m): 10:40pm On Sep 20, 2014
activatenigeria: Much ado has been made about recent events in South Africa concerning the Nigerian-owned jet that was found loaded with millions of dollars and that was in the process of procuring arms and a fighter helicopter for the Nigerian military and security agencies. As a former Minister of Aviation, I wish to assure the general public that the flying of large sums of cash by security and intelligence agencies for the purchase of arms in a time of war and conflict is something that is quite normal and that it happens quite often. As a matter of fact, it has happened under successive Nigerian governments, both military and civilian.

Obviously in the case of the jet that flew to South Africa with 9.3 million USD, there must have been a breakdown of communication between the South African authorities and ours and a few lapses in procedure here and there which is what has led to the seizure of the money and all the ensuing suspicion and confusion. However the idea that there was anything untoward or sinister about the whole transaction has no basis in logic, sense or rationality. Perhaps the only failing was the fact that the cash was not declared to South African Customs as is required by law.

The fact that our intelligence agencies have said that they were the ones that sent the money and that they have told us what it was for is
good enough for me. It appears to me that this was a lawful and legitimate exercise and that there is nothing for anyone to worry about. I am aware of the fact that the British, the French, the American, the Chinese, the Israeli, the Saudi Arabian and the Russian intelligence and security agencies, amongst many others, have indulged in such covert ‘’cash for arms’’ transactions on numerous occasions in different parts of the world.
They either sell such arms at short notice and off the cuff or they procure them for themselves or for unknown third parties. Even the South Africans themselves have done so on numerous occasions in the past. These are legitimate transactions that are covert and secret in nature but they are certainly not illegal.

Such is the murky and dark world of intelligence and security worldwide. There is plenty that we do not know about their day-to-day operations and they have their own unique way of doing things. We should not assume the worse or constantly denigrate them simply because we are not familiar or comfortable with their modus operandi. Suffice it to say that anyone that is in the process of getting arms to help our boys at the war front to fight Boko Haram and protect our citizens and our country ought to be regarded as heroes and not villains.
The attempt by certain elements in the opposition and the Nigerian media to stigmatise all those involved in this transaction and make the whole thing appear like something that is out of the ordinary or sordid and criminal in nature really does nauseate me. Those that know no better ought to appreciate the fact that this is how the real world operates and they should learn to live with it.

The Nigerian intelligence services operate in no different a way to their colleagues in the international community and they do so with as much patriotism, professionalism and commitment as their counterparts from other parts of the world. And yes, we do have our very own ‘’James Bonds’’ in our intelligence services even though, more often than not, they are not recognised, celebrated or appreciated. I counsel that we should cut these men and women that work in the shadows and in secrecy some slack and that we should not be too quick to label them as sleazy rogues who are attempting to indulge in all manner of criminal activities.

Since we are on this topic, I would like to take this opportunity to say one or two things about the way in which Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has been villified, maligned and treated with the utmost disdain and contempt in this and other matters by elements within the leading opposition party in our country.

The truth is that contrary to what some of the leading lights in the opposition would have us believe, he is not an arms smuggler, a money launderer, a murderer or a Boko Haram sponsor. Going to a foreign land and telling the Parliament of that country that the President of CAN in Nigeria is the head of Boko Haram, as one or two of them have just done, is not only a pernicious and vicious lie but it is also utterly shameful and disgraceful. Worst of all, it is an affront to the Christian community in Nigeria and a reckless provocation.

On the South African matter, it is clear that Pastor Oritsejafor was not the owner of the 9.3 million USD and neither was he aware that the cash was being flown on the plane. Though he has confirmed that he was the owner of the plane he has also pointed out the fact that he had leased it out to a company on a long term basis who were themselves subleasing it out to other companies for regular trips.

He has also said that he had no idea about who they were subleasing it to, where they were flying it to or who or what they were carrying in it in any of their operations. The two companies that were involved, both the one that leased it from Oritsejafor and the one that subleased it from them for the journey to South Africa, have since confirmed and corroborated what he has said.

In my view, that ought to settle the matter. Yet some people, fuelled and egged on by a ravenous and desperate opposition with a dark and sinister hidden agenda, have refused to let go of the matter and allow sleeping dogs to lie. Those in our land that are trying to divide our ranks and denigrate us by alleging that Oritsejafor is involved in gun-running, money-laundering, Boko Haram or any other filthy and unsavory criminal activity are the lowest of the low. They are wicked and cruel and I have no doubt that such people are in desperate need of prayer.

They need deep intercession and deliverance from the demons that have taken control of them and that are using them. The truth is that it is a grave insult to the Christian community for anyone to suggest that the leader of the umbrella organisation of the over 80 million-strong Christian faithfuls in Nigeria is a sponsor of a vicious and barbaric Islamist sect that has killed and abducted more Christians and burnt more churches than any other terrorist organisation in the history of the African continent.

The same people may as well tell us that the leaders of the Christian community in Syria and Iraq are the ones behind ISIL and ISIS. They can also tell us that the Christian leaders in their respective countries are the ones behind Al Shabab, the Taliban, the Al Nusra Front, Islamic Jihad, Al Qaeda, Daesh, Hamas, the supporter of APC, the Islamic Brotherhood and all the other terrorist organisations that have recently afflicted the world with their vile inhumanity, their sheer evil and their venal barbarism.

It is only in Nigeria that the leadership of the Christian community would be accused, by a supposedly serious-minded opposition, of wanting to wipe out the Christian faith, wanting to kill all the Christians and moderate Muslims in the country and wanting to establish an Islamic fundamentalist state where 6th century sharia law applies, where little girls are subjected to serial rape and where women are enslaved.

Calling the President of CAN a money-launderer and arms-smuggler and accusing him of murder and sponsoring terror will not help to create religious harmony in our country. As a matter of fact, it will completely destroy it. Those that are doing so and the supporter of APC political party that is stirring up the hornet’s nest and encouraging them ought to think very carefully about the implications of what they are doing.
We know that they have a religious agenda but they should not take this too far or push us to the wall. Our meekness and humility should not be taken for weakness or stupidity. It is in their own interest and in the interest of the unity of our nation for them to leave the President of CAN alone before matters get out of hand and before all hell breaks loose.

He deserves to be accorded the same level of respect from the Muslim community in our country as the Sultan of Sokoto, the leader of the Muslims in Nigeria, is accorded by the Christians. What is good for the goose is surely good for the gander. A word is enough for the wise.

Ffk, I enjoyed your articles better as an APC commentator. I'm sure you miss those enthusiastic Pro-APC days. Oh what a price to pay for exculpation. Toast to gagged freedom

olodo. do you know Oranmiyan came back to Ife to become an Ooni(King-Owner of the land). He came back to reclaim Ooni Oduduwa's throne. Oranmiyan is the 6th Ooni(king of Ife). His offsprings have being the Oonis ever since. just shut it if your knowledge of history is shallow.

I had the opportunity to visit the palace of the present Alaafin of oyo, you might as well visit the ancient palace. I saw about 10 cars and they all have customized plate 'ORANMIYAN'. Alaafin of Oyo never became the Ooni of Ife. In fact, that's always been the reason for the supremacy tussle between both. Ooni was the most loyal and longest serving servant of okanbi. He was fortunate to be custodian of the great heritage of Oduduwa. Heirs had become uninterested in repatriation. So, the whole kin unanimously made him regent.

Rap music is never for everyone, there are just categories of music lovers; 1. The ones that dance, 2. The ones that listen to music. It takes a great deal of intelligence to comprehend a tight rap flow. Never forget, majority of music lovers are mediocre. Life is so fair, you hang with your type. However, it came to be that Oranmiyan as the Alafin of Oyo and his descendants were accepted by the peole of Ife as the military rulers of Yorubaland while Adimu and his descendants became known as 'Oni' , and were accepted by the people of Oyo as the spiritual ruler of all Yorubas.

Was Oni biologically related to Oduduwa? How come he is heir to the throne?

Religion / Judah - More Than Just A Name by ThroneofMercy(m): 11:41pm On Nov 05, 2013
JUDAH – MORE THAN JUST A NAME
Reuben was Jacob’s first son, but Judah stood so outstanding among them all. His mother named him “Praise”, saying ‘now, I will praise the Lord’. Why? She was so ugly and detested, time was running so fast and never was anyone knocking at her father’s door seeking her hand in marriage. Along the line, she got hooked up with poor Jacob, thanks to her father’s scheming. Eventually, she got what the world thought was never going to come her way. (Genesis 29:35/ Genesis 35:23)
Let us not drift, Judah always was the decider everywhere he finds himself, he always has the final say; Joseph was to be murdered by his siblings, the plot was already finalized (Genesis 37:18) but suddenly, Judah said, “let’s not kill this little brat, his death won’t get us nothing’’ (Genesis 37;26)
This same Judah, by fate, found himself sleeping with his daughter – in – law, trading his signet and also the staff he inherited,(stupid act borne out of his mourning of his dear wife, remember, he lost his two sons and was skeptical of giving the last son to the same unfortunate daughter –in – law, although he promised to make her his wife in honour of his first son - Er, the first groom)
Judah was the spokesperson for his brothers when situation of famine made them fulfill destiny and the realization of Joseph’s dream that they all would bow to their younger brother, the same one they thought was gone for life as they’d sold him into slavery. (Genesis 44:18)
He was also the one sent to ascertain the land called Goshen, that fertile land that Pharaoh gave to Joseph’s family to integrate them into Egypt. Jacob lived in a strange land, accompanied by his whole household for over four hundred years, although God had told Abraham that it would happen.
When Jacob (Now Israel) was blessing his children on his death bed, he prophesied that Judah’s brethren shall praise him, also that Judah shall have dominion over his enemies, and that Judah shall command the respect and honour from his brothers. (Genesis 49:cool not only that, (Verse 10) The Sceptre (Staff of Royal Authority) shall not depart from Judah, he shall be in control until ‘Jesus’ shall be resurrected, and, Judah shall control the whole multitude. (Jacob foretold all these even before the birth of Moses)
The tribe of Judah always leads the procession of the Israelites (Numbers 10:14) The Lord demands it, and who is Moses to question God when He speaks.
Whenever Judah trespasses, the whole nation of Israel suffers. (Joshua 7:1)
Imagine, the whole of Israel wanted to wage war against the Canaanites – the initial occupants of that land flowing with milk and honey, but when it was inquired of the Lord who should lead the campaign, (Judges 1:1-2) The Lord said, Judah shall go up : behold, I have delivered the land into his hand. (we need to understand this statement, otherwise, we will not be able to unlock a very important door – the door of accomplishment and breakthrough)
* that difficulty, hardship, challenges, obscurity, the troubles we experience in our endeavours, need only a master key, to conquer or overcome, Judah is the answer. That Sounds simple but a bit deeper. Prayer moves mountain, Praise moves God. Move God and see every other thing move.
JUDAH GOT WEAKER, AND LIFE BECAME TOUGHER.
When Judah lost focus, and compromised the standard God set, he became a coward, he stooped and feared his enemies, and had to beg for his dear life. So much that, the power to rescue the whole nation of Israel came from a Danite named Samson. (Judges 13:2), out of fear, they gave up their deliverer (Bound him) to the Philistines. (Judges 15:12)
I can assure you that if Samson were to be a descendant of the tribe of Judah, he would not have fallen into the hands of his enemies. (Genesis 49:16) “Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel, Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. (Eventually, Samson perished while destroying his enemies – Genesis 3:14)
WHAT IS KING DAVID’S CORE STRENGTH?
He knew his history, he capitalized on these aforementioned facts, he got all he ever desired and even more than he ever wanted. He realized more than ever wished or prayed for. But one thing he does every minute of each day is, Praising God! He was never ashamed to dance, sing and merry in God’s Praise. He started his career praising and ended his career Praising God.
BOTTOM LINE
Do not forget, that our Lord, Jesus Christ is referred to as ‘Lion of the Tribe of Judah’. He, being the Son of God, and the lampstand of God’s Glorious Light on Earth, knew the essence of the lineage. He performed the unbelievable, the impossible, the incomprehensible miracles, simply by plugging into the already existing covenant in that name – Judah. (John 11:44).
My prayer is that you receive the anointing to praise God, even in the midst of the storm. May you experience the divine touch of our God – Jehovah, the God that specializes in impossibilities. Amen.
Shalom!

Religion / Satan Vs Man by ThroneofMercy(m): 11:24pm On Nov 05, 2013
SATAN vs MAN
ADAM/ JOB & JESUS
The word ‘Atom’ comes from ADAM
Both ADAM & SATAN were beautifully created by JEHOVAH
SATAN→ the most beloved of angels, most adorned (heaven)
ADAM→ the most perfectly created of all creatures (earth)

ADAM (First) Spiritual revelation of why man was created to replace Satan
Eden was initially created to accommodate Satan to relocate him and his ego. NOTE: when God came down after perfecting heaven, He created earth, as soon as Satan saw that God was on earth working, SATAN GATHERED A REBELLION IN HEAVEN AND PLOTTED A COUP (to overthrow God).
NOTE: Satan was given the POWER to do a lot because he was God’s deputy saddled with a lot of responsibilities, but God did not give him the power to see THE FUTURE.
NOTE: God is so merciful, so much that instead of destroying Satan for arrogance and disobedience, He had the great plan to relocate him in another habitat to be called EDEN.
Even if God could condone disobedience, He would not condone REBELLION, therefore, having completed the habitat and about returning to hand over the keys to Satan, there came a change of plan and Man was created to take over from Satan.
Gen 1 vs 26: let us create man to do what Satan had longed for: To DOMINATE. Gen 2 vs 15 - Man’s second task is to DRESS and KEEP Eden. But primarily to usurp all the powers of Satan and his functionality. As soon as Satan found out that God is aware of his plot, he knew the implication, especially when he found out that Adam had just been created to have dominion, he ran down to earth to possess the serpent with the ‘SPIRIT OF SEDUCTION’
Gen 3 vs 4 → the first sin: instigation to disobey (Verse 6) Serpent led Eve to Disobey
Gen 3 vs 10 → repercussion of disobedience brings FEAR: Spiritual unclothedness or Emptiness
Never forget, Satan can never be man’s friend! Never! They will be enemies for life. His intention is to infiltrate our sacrifice of praise (worship).
Satan lost everything, his office, his privileges, his rights, he was sent off uncelebrated, and he’s since been living in the realm (Agbedemeji aiye ati orun).
Note: The Realm of Heaven* Throne of the Almighty
* The Lord (All angels report to Jesus)
JOB (Second)
Job 1:6 Assembly of the Sons of God – According to the Bible, Satan came also among them.
Job 1:7And the Lord said unto Satan “where have you been?”
Job 1:8The same “God commended Job”
Job 1:9Satan antagonized Job
Eventually, in the Job2:6, the Lord said to Satan, he is in your hands, (Satan’s hands?) but do not touch his soul.
*Adam’s wife lured him to eat the fruit.
*Job’s wife in Job 2:9 lured Job to curse God and die.
OUR LORD JESUS (Third)
Matthew 4:1-3 “Say: Satan Again!!!”
Promising Jesus everything only if He could bow unto him. “Say: what an insult?!”
Matthew 3:11 As soon as Jesus defeated Satan, Satan left and immediately, Angels came and ministered unto Jesus.
NOTE: The Devil reigned and reigned until Jesus was crucified and Resurrected. Matthew 28:18 “All power is given unto me in Heaven and in Earth”.
There can never be two Kings in a Kingdom, Satan has surrendered.
NOTE: Man gets his freedom off the direct influence of Satan as soon as he:
1.Believe
2.Baptized
3.Receives the Holy Spirit.
If you don’t accept Jesus Christ, you will be under Satan’s influence, take it or leave it.
Jesus gave His word – Mark 16:17-18; confirmation of what David said in Psalm 91:11-16,
DO YOU WANT THIS GRACE? Let us pray: (please read)
Lord Jesus, I missed it, but today, I’ve decided to come back to you, please forgive me, do not cast me away, I promise not to ever look back, Holy Spirit, Come into my Life, teach me, guide me, help me, rescue me, I will follow you, so that at the end, I will not be cast away, In Jesus Mighty Name We Pray. Amen.

Religion / Careless Vow by ThroneofMercy(m): 3:24am On Nov 04, 2013
CARELESS VOW
I give Glory to God for His Grace. He laid it in my heart that the mystery of Heaven may be released unto mankind.
THE CYCLE OF UTTERANCES
Promise <> Pledge <> Vow (oath)
The root cause of our problem is in our utterance. It is a known fact that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. One of my friends once said to me, ' You will know a man when he speaks'. This implies that our speech betrays our physical cum spiritual personality.

The following factors affect what we utter, ironically, these factors have their correspondent offspring :-
FACTOR.                              RESULTANT
Prosperity.                                Ego/ Pride
Pain.                                      Suffering/ agony
Anger.                                   Vengeance/ Revenge
Dilemma.                              Anxiety/ Panic

JEPHTHAH'S CASE
Jephthah was a man banished from people because his mother was a prostitute. Fortune turned around for good and his kinsmen were at his mercy due to an external aggression from the people of Ammon. They agreed to make him their ruler if he agrees to lead them in battle against the children of Ammon. Judges 11 describes Jephthah as a mighty man of valor. Jephthah relied on his instinct and I don't blame him, he came that far all alone.
But, in Judges 11:30-31, Jephthah made a vow unto The Lord, digging deeper into likely reasons why he would make such a vow, the following points emerged:-
*He was trying to impress his people
*He was afraid of loosing his first task as a ruler
*He was desperate and over-ambitious
*He lacked the understanding of how God operates
*He's not operating under an outright covenant, hence, he does not have a direct relationship with God.

Most importantly, "the tap root of our problem lies in the effect of our careless utterances in the past on our future". A lot of us had at some point in our past (even presently) made some deadly mistakes in our pronouncement especially when faced with hardship. When we experience tribulation that is meant to be temporary, we act as if tough times would last.

Jephthah was in a fix, he was going to sacrifice whatever he meets at his door upon a triumphant arrival. Unfortunately, he won the battle, and it was his only child -his daughter that he met. What a fate! Judges 11:34. He cried, he was humbled, troubled, embittered, but because it was a vow, his daughter urged him to fulfill it.
What baffled me the most is that throughout Judges 11, there was not a single word of response from The Lord regarding Jephthah, the Holy Spirit made it clear to me that God was not interested in Jephthah's plight, quest, nor success. He did not have to go to the extreme to achieve so much.(our battle is the Lord's). God never asked anyone for such a sacrifice, none before Abraham, none after Abraham.
Jephthah did not consult God, he thought he could move God by such pronouncement.
What if he had met someone else at his door? Would he have hesitated to fulfill his vow? But God knew the future even when we are in the present, Jephthah tasted the most bitter pill.
BOTTOMLINE,
Christianity is not about impressing God, instead, we are simply 'Grace Beneficiaries' - "As for His Saints, they are Just Men Made Perfect".
Shalom!!!
