Education / Re: Gbajabiamila Deceived Us To Call Off Strike ― ASUU by Tikobanidi: 11:12am On Dec 28, 2022
He said that based on the Speaker’s intervention then, ASUU suspended the strike with the hope that the Speaker’s words would be matched with action.[/b]

Honestly, I do not believe that Prof Osodeke, ASUU National Preaident, actually said the quote above because he can not lie so brazenly that it was Hon. Gbaja that persuaded ASUU to call of strike when the whole world can still recall that it was the Industrial Court and later the Appeal Court that upheld the judgement FG got against ASUU to resume duties that compelled ASUU to go back to classes.

Gbaja offered to help but he is not powerful enough to become the whole legislature nor is he the Executive that dragged ASUU to NIC nor is Gbaja the Judiciary that directed ASUU to go back to classes. He had good intentions but the case was already in court.

As we type, ASUU has not even challenged the no work no pay rule in court and FG has used this as a basis not to pay ASUU and other university unions for all the period they were not at work.

If it is true that Prof made this false accusation then it is really sad. As things stand, it is apparent that the FG team is more brilliant and strategic than the ASUU team. This attempt by Prof to misrepresent the facts is not good at all.

The reality is that the era of a united nationwide university academic staff association is gone.

FreeStuffsNG, thump up for you. It's people like you that makes me to remain on this platform. I cherish people that base their judgement on facts and figures rather than sentiment.

Investment / Beware Of Bitcoin Loophole And Lexatrade Forex Trading Company, It Is A SCAM! by Tikobanidi: 11:41am On Jun 15, 2022
My journey into the fraudulent trap of Lexatrade started in February this year, when I stumbled on an online news article claiming to be a Mike Adenuga interview on Bitcoin Loophole, purporting that Bitcoin Loophole lets you profit from all cryptocurrencies. After reading the enticing article, a registration link was provided.

On clicking on the link, I was taken to the portal of forex trading company called LEXATRADE with mouthwatering offers, that was the first warning light, from BITCOIN to FOREX. Nonetheless, I registered with the trading company. On registration, calls were coming from different angles with different accents (Nigerian, Indian, European etc) cajoling me and asking me to deposit $250 initial capital, another warning light. I made a deposit of #105,000 equivalent of $250 by their own conversion rate to this bank account details provided.
Account Name: MC SL BIZ NG LTD
Bank Name : United Bank of Africa (UBA)
Account Number: 1024533680
Narration: LexaTrade Activation

Afterwards, contradictory statements from the Lexatrade members through phone calls made me to do further online enquiry about Lexatrade (this I ought to have done before payment), to my chagrin the online review was appalling, that was when it downed on me that I had lost my money and I already made up my mind. I insisted on discontinuing my registration and withdrawing my $250 capital.

1. I was told I could not withdraw until I completed my registration process.
2. After completing the registration, I was told I could not withdraw until my account was activated.
3. When I insisted on withdrawing my capital, they appealed to me and dropped bonus of $250 in my account and promised to trade with the account.
4. They made me to sign authorization form to enable them trade on my behalf so as not to lose my money.
5. They traded a while and stopped, I initiated withdrawal of my capital, they categorically said it was not possible to withdraw because of the attached bonus.
6. They said I must trade about 2,500,000 units with my account before I could withdraw, and it would take about a month before I could achieve that.
7. I asked them how to go about this and I was told I should use ROBOT machine.
8. I told them I did not have any previous training on ROBOT trading and a training should be organized for me on it, they said I did not require any training, just for me to activate the ROBOT.
9. I was sent a code to activate the ROBOT and instructed to activate MINI ROBOT.
10. I further expressed the fear of losing my money and my fear was allayed and was told to just watch the ROBOT do the trading.
11. I activated the MINI ROBOT as directed and monitored the trading, after about 10 days my account grew to $650.
12. Just last week, on the eleventh day of robotic trading, the money in my account was wiped off, the MINI ROBOT deactivated, and my balance became zero-dollar 0$!.
That was when I raised alarm with Lexatrade and I got an arrogant reply thus “You have lost the money on the market. I prevented you about the robot. As you lost to the market the money cannot be restored. If you would have listened to me initially you wouldn't be in this situation. Next time listen to a professional's advice. ” I wonder which of the so-called professional advice I was given that I did listen to, my fear now became manifested that LEXATRADE is actually a scam forex trading company.
That is how I was scammed by Lexatrade in collaboration with some unpatriotic Nigerians.
So, when next you read or hear about BITCOIN LOOPHOLE or LEXATRADE, please take to your heels it is a SCAM.

Car Talk / Re: How My Car Was Booked By The LASG VIS Camera by Tikobanidi: 3:18pm On May 27, 2022
Mophor:

That's not true.... If you live in Kaduna and using Lagos state number plates will you drive to Lagos before you get your road worthiness??

I think I was misunderstood. The message is that yes, you can get your vehicles papers in any state, but if you are leaving in Lagos you will need to obtain the papers and renew them in Lagos, otherwise the camera will still interpret that you are not having papers and book you , because the systems are not linked.
The way out is that if one registers the vehicle in another state and does the renewal in another state, you will not have the cause to go to the VIS office where your bookings will be revealed, even if the camera books you.

On the 2nd thought

Can't you go to the Neigbouring state to renew your vehicle License?

I understood that will only be acceptable if the vehicle does not bear Lagos state number, I don't as well know how truth is that.
Car Talk / How My Car Was Booked By The LASG VIS Camera by Tikobanidi: 9:35am On May 27, 2022
My vehicle license expired in March this year and I renewed it immediately. But the vehicle insurance and road worthiness still had some weeks to expire, that made me to relax and waited till the first week of May. I renewed the vehicle insurance as planned and was given a date for computerized vehicle inspection before the road worthiness certificate could be issued. I was at the inspection station yesterday, my car was subjected to series of tests and at the end the message was "congratulations your car passed all the tests". I was directed to the admin office to collect my certificate, that was when I got the shock of my life. A document was printed out and I was like, "you guys should give me the certificate and let me go". The officer then handed the document to me and said "your car was booked last month and you need to pay the fine before you can get the certificate". I checked the document and I was fined 20k for driving with expired vehicle insurance and 20k for driving without a valid road worthiness certificate, all totaling 40k. What is this! I exclaimed. On checking the date I was booked on 19th April 2022 at 16:53. Looking back, I deduced that I must had been booked around Alausa area in Ikeja. That is the "gbese" on my neck now o!

My advise to the car users is that please don't wait until your driving license, vehicle license, road worthiness etc expire before you commence renewal process, LASG have installed cameras at strategic locations in Lagos that are tracking and monitoring all vehicles. The camera is also booking the traffic offenders as well, so take heed now.

In case you want to find out if you have been booked for traffic offence, simply visit "https://payvis.ng" and type your vehicle registration/plate number in the box and search.

Politics / Re: Deborah Samuel: Charly Boy, Others Protest (Photos) by Tikobanidi: 9:57am On May 24, 2022
What an hypocrisy and double standard! You are demonstrating against the killing of Deborah in the far North but refuse to see the killings of the Northern Muslims at your backyard. Just last Sunday, a pregnant woman with her four children were massacred in Anambra, another Hausa-Muslim selling suya was murdered on the same day. You guys turned blind eyes to that, does it mean criminality is only frowned at when it happened on the North?

PeaceJoyLove:

First, you did the right thing by posting NO to all the stuff above.

My Recommendations:
1. Read everything on this thread. Do not skip any post. You may find someone with a good suggestion. I am doing same too. It may be on page 12 sef. And the fellow may not mention you. Take your time.

2. The only investment which is safe are nation's TBills. That of the US is considered the safest. But it may be hard for a Nigerian to do. You may check well and see if you can. Also, look into other nation's TBills. Our reputation is bad, so, I'm not sure about this option.

3. Nigeria used to make its TBill opened to the public. I think the corrupt nature of Nigerians is too high. Imagine, banks take money and invest in the same TBill vehicle, and then give you part of the interest. They will call it their own investment scheme. I dont patronize them again. See, most of those asking you to put money in this bank and that bank have their own cut. They arent doing it in your interest. Banks these days wont allow you bid for TBills through them again. Banks are serious 419s these days. When last did you see GTB put money in any of it's ATM? Now they deal with POS traders. They are looking for every way to take from you. Well, you may still get, but I am sure that it will be peanut. I do not know what 2% to 3% of any amount of money in naira will give you. Rather, if you find a secured one abroad with 5% in dollars, Euro or Pounds, you are fine.

3. Naira is terrible oooo. Dem be 419. Do not give your money to anyone. If you dont see any, keep your cash madam.

4. You can find a way to get into converting your currency into dollars without using black market. There are still some legal ways, but needs your effort. I went into content creation because I want to deal with more dollars. It depends on you. My point is that in this present Nigeria, it seems you must monitor everything you do. You cant trust anyone. It seems there is nothing you can get into without your effort. You just need to keep doing "longer throat" because there are too many thieves around...even bank CEOs. They are all thieves.

5. The best investment you may want to do is to find a way to be a permanent residence of another country. And maybe you can still keep your job here. Two of my friends have relocated temporarily to secure that. It is for this particular issue. With naija passport, nothing. Everyone keeps rejecting you and your money outside the country. And putting it here is like playing with fire. No investment seems is secured in Nigeria except you are a politician. Even they also move our money out cos they know it isnt secured here. To me, you may want to look into it. It makes you plan well.

Anyone who wants to invest in crypto or forex should do it by himself or herself. There are BOTs which one can use, but at ones own risk. It is still better than putting it with a 419 fund manager. Do not ever give your money to anyone to invest in crypto or forex. If you want to do it, take your time and use a bot. If it is profitable, fine...if not.....fine. you know the money is to take the risk. You can try with a small amount and see if it works it. I do not use them cos I haven't got the time to look into them well. I plan doing it soon.

Well, it is not easy oooo. May God help you find something. I am reading posts here too.

Very apt and useful article!

Let me share with you a truth about crypto and traders. 80-90% of them lose money on the long run. The truth about all these people who promise high returns is that very few of them can consistently deliver and most lose everything given time. Those who make money consistently do not make consistently big returns every month to be able to promise the kind of outlandish returns they do and fulfill the said promises.

You have to ask yourself a simple question…..if they really can make this kind of returns CONSISTENTLY, Why do they need my money why share your profits with a stranger?

Most you will find need your money because they have lost all their money and need to recapitalize. The people who are really making money from trading don’t need your money or the pressure that comes from the wahala of you phoning them all the time to ask about how things are going.

Take this advice and you will save yourself a lot of pain because trust me they will eventually lose your money!!!

Crypto and trading is a zero sum game, if someone is making money someone else is losing money. You only hear about the one who made money you never hear about the one who loses !!! Anyone who is truly successful at crypto does not want or need your money! Anyone who wants your money is not a good trader and is only taking your money to start again after he lost everything!!!!!

One reason many of these crypto traders and miracle banks end up as Ponzi schemes is not because they set out to defraud anyone but that they are not as good as they thought they were and have dug themselves into a hole and keep needing new money to satisfy their obligations to existing “investors”. Eventually they run out of new money and they go bust. The bottom line is they were never that good in the 1st place. Those who are good do not need outside money because they can compounding their own money without wahala!!!

There are some genuine people but before you invest with them at least ask them to show you their verified trading statements from their broker for the last 2 years…..at least 1 year!! You will find many will run away or cannot show because those that can show you a consistent trading statement for that period don’t need or want your money.

This is an eye opener, thanks for this.

Car Talk / Re: Is It Illegal To Repaint My Fading Vehicle Number Plates? by Tikobanidi: 11:23am On Feb 13, 2022
bobbiiee:
If you are using lagos registration just input your car reg number into this site.

https://nvis.frsc.gov.ng/VehicleManagement/VerifyPlateNo

Even number plate violation is not 5k. It can't be said that you are driving with fake when it's linked to their site. FRSC offences and penalties are stated in the link below.

https://frsc.gov.ng/offences-penalties-2/

I know what I am saying Bro, I only cut the story short. There's no doubt about the originality of the plate number. The official booking was 3k plus, I was booked on Saturday and expected to go and pay on Monday and bring the receipt before I could collect my car. And one of them offered to assist me to pay but with a price, do you expect me to reject that offer?

Car Talk / Re: Is It Illegal To Repaint My Fading Vehicle Number Plates? by Tikobanidi: 7:09am On Feb 13, 2022
SLOVFO:
My vehicle's number plates are about 6 years old and about faded. I intend taking to an artist for a makeover. To replace them through FRSC will cost about 25K naira while an artist will collect about 5K naira to do a decent job. My worry is if it's against the law.

I had similar experience and I gave an artist to help me re- paint and trace the number. On my way to Akure I was stopped by the FRSC team at Ijebuode, they claimed the plate number was fake and I was booked. Nothing I didn't say to convince them but they were adamant. I told them they needed to commend me for making my plate number readable, it showed I was not a criminal, they never bulge. I even accused them for making a sub-standard plate number, they said I would have gone to buy another one. Eventually, I parted with 5k as fine!

Investment / Re: Adama J Adama Pay Defaulted Investor's Funds by Tikobanidi: 3:28pm On Jan 31, 2022
Zain007:
Adama J Adama is owing several investors long overdue payments through his multiple investment schemes (Farm4me, Viablex and Ceepas) to the tune of billions of naira since last year October, when things took a different turn when investors could no longer access their capitals and ROIs on the platform.. All communication channels to reach him and staffs of his enterprises were blocked and also the office outlets in their several locations has been closed down by them while investors are left to state of helplessness with no hope for getting back their money in sight as they have not been responding to the investors enquiries and only using automated responses while claiming system issues as excuse for months now.

All that is needed now is for Adama J Adama to have all the investors being owed paid asap as they are running out of patience while being subjected to several forms of difficulty by them not having access to their funds of which each and every individual has plans to utilise for, as there is a contract of agreement in place binding on Adama J Adama (Farm4me, Viablex and Ceepas) to have the investors paid as at when due.

All Farm4me, Ceepass and Viablex investors being owed are implored to sign this petition. Thanks

CC: mynd44 Lalasticala Puskin please help me push this to front page. My heart bleeds when i see some people trying to scam others of their hard earned money.

Nice one. By now he ought to have started paying the investors as promised in his communication few weeks ago.

I concur....
The corruption and criminality in every Nigerian can not be over emphasized

Come to the streets, visit government parastatal....go round public sectors and check civil abi na public servant and see the huge corruption

One thing about Nigerians is that we really don't hate corruption the way we pretend to..we are just angry because we are not the one in office carrying out the corruption

I agree with you 100%.

You can't imagine, weeks ago some people came to our street in the mid-night and removed the whole heavy duty generator that powers about five streets in our locality, the entire area has been battling with darkness since then. This equally gives the bad boys save haven to operate.

Do we still blame this on Government?
