Yo should get a mail after signing up at least. I did but I haven't gotten any for role applied.

For the issues you're having it's best you use a laptop to get past those sections. And yes add your secondary school education too.

Thanks for the response

I am used/ using laptop all through... But wondered why I am yet to get a sign up mail since yesterday and even the pics I uploaded wasn't showing up

Most of these are almost useless now with a maximum ROI of 1 to 4% a year.

Just discuss with your account manager to know which Rate is the highest. I would advise you go to agro tech like farmsponsor than fix your MOney/leaving it in a bank. Inflation rate will cancel out any profit you make.

Imagine 2 million naira WIll give you only 20k after one full year in a bank, when they take out bank charges, you will be left with 10k

Farmsponsor gives 15% every 3 months. However, do not derail this thread any more. Go to treasury bills section andale your enquiries. Cheers

I love this write up @chumachu

Howbeit, is farmsponsor authentic, secured and real?....

I will appreciate your kind response

In my own opinion I don't think this virtual test is the best way to conduct this exam. There are a lot of what ifs?, what if a machinery is hired to do the test. Since it is at the comfort of our homes no one will get to know.

All this should have been put into consideration before opting for virtual exams seriously. Who else is on the same page with me? Or am I just thinking way too much outside the box.

Even if the person scale through, we all know he/she might not be lucky to go pass the interview stage, but what if he/she goes through and Moreover he/she will be jeopardizing the chances of people who really deserve to be in the next stage of the recruitment.

Just my humble opinion.......

The reason why the option of a virtual test came out was because the application period fell when there was COVID lockdown and the rest. The virtual test taking option was just a measure put in place as per cos of corona and ensuring that they strictly adhere to social distancing and the likes

Familiar, nothing strange at all. Just make sure you work with time.

For the numerical, some questions were wayyy harder than others. So I advise you skip and move to the next question if you're stuck. I skipped the entire first four questions and discovered easier ones in the middle. Don't waste your time on hard questions, make a reasonable guess and move on, remember to mark it so that you can come back to it later. The interface didn't have the mark option so I wrote down the questions I intend to go back to on paper.

Also, no calculator was provided, it's better you start practicing with non.

Ok... Familiar as in the questions are like maybe from a past set reviewed questions?

Please, How was the verbal like?

Just finished writing.
Electrical guys should read generators and motors very well.
There weren't much calculations in the discipline section and most of them were easy, 50 questions in total.
You have to work very fast.
Also go through your C++ notebook.
For the Dragnet Abstract reasoning, brace up for very challenging questions. That's all for now.

If you don't have an electrical past question yet, send me a pm. I bought one and I'm iving it out FOC.

Hi @Luckyway: How was the verbal and the numerical sections like?

How many questions per sections?

Pls, how did you answer this question "Will you be funded by another organisation during the planned funding period or have you applied for other funding for this period"?

What's nonsense. What is bad with passing information across here that you are taking everything to WhatsApp. I see no need for WhatsApp... we need to grow up. whatever info that needs to be passed across should be posted here. at least this will serve a reference for future new recruits that might need guidance from this current one in the years to come.

If those of the 2011/2012 applicants had migrated to WhatsApp, am sure some very important info on nairaland that we were able to get via reading their posts wont have been available.

Lets stop all theses WhatsApp stuffs and grow up.

Funny people really. They behave as if they aren't concerned. Medical tests will require days except if we want to deceive ourselves with fake tests.

And is it official transcripts from school or student copy? Official transcripts may take weeks to be processed and sent to desired destinations.

If they didn't shortlist you, you would have been complaining.

Now you got a mail asking for docs, you are calling them funny and unconcerned people.

Do you know how many of us here waiting for this funny people to send us mail?

Be grateful bro that u were contacted n don't complain

Education / Re: 2018 PTDF Scholarship China/France/Germany: Shortlisted Applicants by Time2reign: 3:15pm On May 23, 2018
My Thought:

I don't think the number chosen corresponds with picking from each state. If not, the selection would have been an even number indicating that an equal figure or also have been chosen.

Scenario 1: Assuming all 47 were masters
47 candidates for China Scholarship would arouse the question of how many were chosen per state. 47 means at least only one person from each state was at least selected, remaining 11 selection that might have been distributed across other oil producing state. making the oil producing state produce at least 2. so it means that should the selection be on a merit state level, at least 1 person was chosen per state and a little more in the range 2-3 were chosen from an oil producing state.

Scenario 2: Assuming all 47 were a mix of PHD and masters
This would make you now ask the question: How many masters were chosen per state?.... if a candidate was at least chosen per state for masters, then the 11 PHD candidates remaining wont cut across the 36 states in Nigeria. and if it is the other way round, It means that 11 candidates for masters won't cut across all the states in Nigeria.

My point is:

1. The selection process is strictly known to the Selecting committee of PTDF
2. Don't think/be so sure you have all it takes to selected. Some more persons have a very higher and better qualification as you do.
3. I don't know if the numbers for this year is going to be that much
4. Should you be selected, Go and say thank you to the Almighty
5. If equal quota are to be given to all the 36 states (excluding the oil producing states), the number yet released now still don't add up to equal selection from each states taking China for example.... though there is still France and UK to make up for the numbers.
6. Looking at the selected numbers for Germany and China respectively, It means more state might have a particular country more than another.... cos the China doesn't tally with equal selection from each state, since the mail was to both masters and PHD and they are just 47. so how many out of the 47 were masters and PHD? and should the number be known, i bet it wont give an equal number for each state or better still, more state would have a shorter number of a category to another.
7. The respective countries in particular wont take only Nigerians, they would request for some numbers.... so that might align with the somewhat low numbers seen for now.

In Summary

Fellow aspiring colleagues, this selection is solely in Gods hand. forget your so called qualification and how good you are cos you might not know how better the next guy beside you is. Be open-minded and believe God for the best. Hoping you are one of those that would be selected for France and UK.

Please Note: This is just my thought i decided to share.

God bless us all and favor us
