Obviously another propaganda by the west as always..Like Al-assad said..It's against elementary logic to believe that the regime used those chemical weapons. "It's an insult to common sense.
The regime was clearly winning the war, plus they knew the consequences if they used those weapons. It's a pretext on the part of the U.S and their allies.

Hmm. Now I see why the slums in Lagos are largely dominated by Igbos..Ajegunle, Orile, Badia, Oba nle aro, etc.
You folks are your own worst enemies. Instead of you guys to condemn the bad leadership in the region, you are playing the "Tribalism" & "marginalisation" cards. *Over & out*

its a tight song like this that makes me respect the 9, and pray more ppl get him, i meab with a line like "if u wanna die then why are u rapping put a rope around your neck lets hear some snapping" and "them no wan die dem just think the image cool, if label got you doing it then you a fool" simple as they look its the how dat matters.
U sabi. "You must have missed the bus, but imma take you back to school"
When Nine dropped "Pentium IX", there was no naija hard core rap joint that was just as dope as that jam. Every Naija real head would attest to that.

shymexx: I watched the BET Cipher and I personally think he's naija's best rapper by a mile. The only person close to him is Godwon. if you don't know Godwon, you need to go check that guy out. I have all his mixtapes from like 2004 when he was based in Houston, and he was "Houston's Best Kept Secret."

As for the other naija rappers including M.I - they're all trash. Nigerians need to stop rapping and stick to party tunes. undecided
Yea I thought so too, Plus the fact that Godwon is very deadly at freestyles. I also watched him on Jimmy's Jump off a few years back..I however bought his "Evolution" which I anticipated highly before its release, but I wasn't really impressed just like I wasn't with OD's H.O.D for basically for d same reason..I expected them to include at least 3 classic Hip-Hop tunes on d album which they failed to do. Still on still, I bump to Godwon's 'Hennessey' and 'Too much money' till date. Only that I doubt if I will buy his sophomore album.

course he is. I don't dispute that..Just letting y'all see your hypocrisy and let u know you're blinded by hate.
If Canibus spits a line, it is crack to you. But if a Nigerian spits the same, it is wack to you.
Now how do you xplain that?

i doubt modenine stans even know what multis are....

canibus has an excellent pen game - he's scientific and i feel his lyrics but no one can touch eminem's lyricism.
Now it's Canibus..No shakes abi..he is still a dope MC grin grin..I'm getting you.

very weak.......the set-ups, the choice of words and the rhyming are flawed. do you fools pay attention to lyrics at all and the structure of the verses? have you not seen eminem's lyrics and how he intelligently put words together?
You see? those are Cannibus's lines on "Making a name for ourselves"
Now you see that you folks are only being hypocritical. smh

like i said - MI's freestyling ability might be weak but his pen game is better than mode9's. MI has a better delivery, better flow and he's clearer on the mic.
I don't know what kind of wordplay interests u o.It's very obvious ure only hating. Like the Americans do flawless wordplays always. Maybe you should start writing your own too and let's see. how about this? "Lyrics unravel, faster than bullets travel through barrels
Niggaz be diggin my styles like fossils and pterodactyls"
strong or weak too?

you are a fool - what you want? is that a song? with one yeye girl dropping the hook? rap black messiah is garbage. i have told you, post modenine's lyrics here - let me destroy his lyricism.

so because fatman scoop jammed modenine means what? modenine does not have any street creds outside nigeria.
*sighs* You ask for too much. How many Nigerian rappers have street cred outside Africa? Even Eldee that has ties with Chiddybang and stayed in ATL for a while is not known there at all.

contradiction is modenine's best track and it's even weak.... i think what we both consider as quality lyricism is different. you are easily impressed, i am not. lyricist of the year when there's no one else doing what he does.......where's the competition?
I might just chill with you a little if you say no Nigerian rapper is good as far as you're concerned i.e. I would assume what u mean is none is better than Modenine...and even the Nine is not good enuf for you. However, we are debating based on the Nigerian standard of rap here. Currently, the best Nigerian Hip-hop artistes are Mode9, M.I and ShowdemCamp in that order.
Music/Radio / Re: Mode9 Cries Out On Neglect Of His ‘type Of Rap’ by timecop28: 10:42pm On Aug 18, 2013
coogar:

you are very correct.....
i actually think this is an insult on the rap fans in nigeria and modenine should apologise. it's a travesty for him to think we don't appreciate his art. yes, hardcore rap does not have the same popularity like the commercial rap but it's the same everywhere in the world. he must find a balance between the two. wu-tang, redman, rakim, krs-one all carved a niche for themselves in this very art - why can't modenine do the same?

i don't know the others but personally, i don't think anyone can spit in nigeria. MI is very good at what he does though but he's not a thorough-bred hardcore rapper.

they all do - they get more airplay than the average hardcore rapper. what they do is commercial - they basically do music that appeals to everyone - bubblegum rap. lil wayne is very wack.......who is lil wayne in the comity of rappers?

modenine can hold his own where? in nigeria? yes - and that's because he's the only one pioneering that particular art of hardcore. would he get any respect in the UK or in the US? i doubt it.
If must know, Fat man scoop jammed Modenine's cry on his show several times. Only that he erroneously referred to him as kenyan.

your intelligence quotient is inversely proportional to your age. the older you grow, the dumber you become - you want to lecture me about mode-9 when i have every single album he's made on my i-pod? let me have what you are smoking....atomic number 47, i am ag? how's modenine equating himself to silver becomes a punchline?

you are as stüpid as modenine himself....

modenine is shallow - intellectually deficient. i don't rap for a living but if i get a period of one month to write, i would murder modenine in a rap battle. what's deep about modenine that told us jupiter is bigger than a star?
modenine spits nonsense and then twists it that he's spitting what makes sense. don't be fooled, MI is a more balanced rapper than modenine.......MI might be weak at freestyling but his writing ability surpasses modenine!
Playa hater. Go listen to "Contradiction" (E'Pluribus Unum) I bet dats too deep for myopic mind as well. You think it's easy to put out at least a 20-track mixtape every year..lyricist on the roll for 7 consecutive years, go take that away from him na.

i reiterate, you are a tomfool!
your IQ must be a single digit to think modenine has bars. modenine has no pen game. you tools don't even know what real rap is, you just follow modenine like sheep and believe the nonsense that comes out of his mouth.

i would lecture you and modenine about rapping....
did modenine not spit jupiter was bigger than a star? grin you call that rap? modenine has no technique - no multis, wordplay and punchlines are substandard.......matter of fact, he has no style at all. post modenine's best lyrics and i would pick out his flaws for you to see....

the same modenine that still rhymes with one syllable? lolololol - better tell your mentor to find another job - he can start driving dangote trucks. that nigga is about 47 and he's still deluded to think what he does is rap? you and modenine need deliverance.
scoring cheap points with lies.."I am not a star/I'm a bigger planet than jupiter" Dats what he said..in reference to the solar system as a whole.

this is a big lie.....
fact is, mode-9 is not even good at what he does. i can humbly say there are about 5 million fans of hardcore rap in nigeria and if 10% of that figure buys mode-9's albums, he should be fine.

however, mode-9 cannot make good music. his lyrics are confusing. he makes a lot of errors. that he's the only one in nigeria driving underground rap does not mean he's excellent at it. most nigerians would rather buy nas albums than mode-9's albums.
Right thurr! too deep for you, fckin up ur mind like coitus interruptus.

everybody i grew up with in lagos knew these cats. why are you talking as if nigerians don't watch music channels. i grew up watching Yo MTV raps - similar to many boys in my school and environment. the percentage of nigerians who know these people must be more than 1% and that's still a big market to explore....
Smh..Like seriously, I laff at your comments. If u'd said 1% of lagosians, no issues, But Nigeria in general? Bro, better be honest with yourself.
By the way, to release 6 albums and several mixtapes without compromise no be beans., Even M.I mentioned he wanted to emulate Modenine in terms of album release.(seems he can't keep up).
I don't see the need for Modo to complain cos he is well respected in the game even among his peers.
