As a married man, I think you have done more than what a wife should do to support her husband. Just as someone said, you need to be selfish a times not because you don't love or respect your partner but because you have to save your head from future pains. Should anything happen to your husband tomorrow ( God forbid) when the properties don't carry your name, you may have problem with his family as regards the properties. If I were you I will go ahead and buy the property in my children name and continue to support my hubby. Of course he won't be happy with your decision but you should learn to say sorry to him too and avoid any confrontation, after all you have achieved your goal. I envy your hubby! 2 Likes |
Career / Re: How Old Were You Jobless, Staying At Home And How Did You Make It? by timseye: 3:40am On Jun 12, 2020 |
I took time to read all... Now my own story.... Coming from a below average background, dad even struggled to pay for my waec. Knowing the situation at home, I hit the street immediately I wrote my last paper in waec looking for job vacancy. Luckily I found one after trekking from Mushin to Oshodi with local ice cream company as a production and sales rep in one small shop like that. Few months after someone approached me from my church to come and work for him. He offered me more and the place was a walking distance from my abode. It's an invitation to breakthrough. I worked with him for 4 yrs and all my salary from start to end date was saved. I was a crazy saver! I lived on side income; from assisting customers to carry their goods. I left the company and started same biz with my savings. I ensured I reinvested most of my profits and was prudent with money as well. I put in for a part time degree course and registered for a professional course (ACCA) while I continued rulling my biz. I really made it big, as God crowned my efforts with success. When I became chartered, I left the country for my MSc. I still have biz that fetch me monthly in come in naija. As other said I am still a work in progress. It can get more better. Key note... 1. Start from somewhere no matter how small 2. Learn to save and don't do follow follow 3. Set goals and target for yourself in your biz 4. Don't live about your means 5. Learn to give especially to parents, siblings any the needy, any time I do this I get more. 6. Your biz first, don't carry out any capital project that will kill your biz. I said this from experience. 7. Do anything as long it's legal. 8. Save, save, save and save 9. If you can, avoid fornication and alcohol. 10. Pray, pray and pray. It shall be well with you all. Our efforts will not be in vain. Don't wish anyone to be poor as I did experience it. Pls, don't stop trying, though the naija environment is not encouraging but don't give up on your dream. You are such a strong woman, I envy your husband. However, your husband can do a lot to help you, since it's ladipo, there are so many things he can do to get money in ladipo. I did biz there between 1999 to 2015, so I am telling for a fact, there are so many ways to make money in ladipo. I made it big there. I got there with nothing. If your husband can work as a job man in the warehouse at ladipo; offloading and loading goods. Let me know, I may be able to help. This maybe next year though as ladipo market must have closed for the year now. Not there anymore but still have biz there. 1 Like |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Life Savings Of 250k by timseye: 10:51am On Dec 25, 2018 |
jinka: You must be a serious person to have saved up to that amount out of your small pay. I love people like you. I was there some years back. If you have somewhere to stay in Lagos that is not too far from Mushin, I can help you to find somewhere to stay at ladipo market where you can learn trade and still get daily money if you know how to convince customer to buy market. |
Romance / Is She Giving Me A Green Light? I Still Like Her Should I Make Another Move? by timseye: 1:43pm On Feb 21, 2018 |
Hi to all the gurus in the house, please I need help on this issue. There is this girl I met January last year and just some few weeks after, I told her about my feeling without building attraction with her first. So her reply was "It can't work" she didn't give me any reason though I asked her through phone because we don't live in the same state. I was able to contact a close friend of hers and she told me that she was engaged planning to get married in few months, this was February last year. Because of this information, I backed out but we still chat casually occasionally. Just January this year, she sent me a message that I didn't inform her about my sister's wedding and I told her that I thought she was aware of it. And she said that she wouldn't be able to attend because of distance. Fast forward early this month I called her and she told me she was in Abuja and I was travelling to Minna via Abuja in few days, so I told her that when I get to Abuja I will ring her up. I met with her in Abuja and while we were discussing she used style asked about my wife, girlfriend and Fiancee and I said I don't have any. She told me many things about her family and why she was in Abuja. She also told me that she lives with her uncle with two other female cousins single in their 40s. She said that her two cousins usually give her tough time at home and they go to the extent of saying it to her face that nobody will marry her. She said they had never for once asked her "when are u bringing ur man home" that it seemed they were praying for her to stay single just like them. So my question is, Is she showing me some green light? I still like her really. Should I ask her out or I should build more attraction with her first before asking her out? And now If I have to ask her out I can only do it via the phone because of our different location. Thanks |

Romance / Re: Improve Your Dating Game Here.! See Inside. by timseye: 12:43am On Jan 12, 2018 |
Came across this and felt I should share it. It is commonly said that us women are complex in nature while men remain easy to understand and simple. Whatever be the reason backing the comment, in relationships both men and women follow slightly diverted paths. What men look for in relationships is not actually what motivates us women to fall in a relationship. The difference in mentalities, desires, passion, expression levels, etc. are resulted from unknown causes; might be social concepts, mindset changes or hormonal differences. Women get time to be settled in a relationship, but if settled down, they remain so dedicated and sacrificing for it; while men jump into relationships so easily and get out of it with some easiness. However, experts say that if provided with requirements and if matched with his desires, even men ardently remain in relationships! 2 Likes |
Family / Re: My Marriage Has Finally Ended by timseye: 8:13pm On Jan 05, 2018 |
Cladez: My man abroad is not Nigeria. A single parent can't work with a kid talk less of there children. She also knows that fact and she can't leave the kids behind. My own advice is for you to let her have her way. There is nothing wrong in separating for a short term for both of you to figure out how best you both can leave together as one. Stopping her from going would only amount to postponing the evil day. When she leaves with the kids, you will have enough time to work and as others have rightly said ensure you keep on your responsibility as a father send money for upkeep and keep records for future purposes. 1 Like |
Religion / Re: My Wife Gave Her December Salary As Seed To Rev. Father Without My Knowledge by timseye: 1:23pm On Jan 02, 2018 |
Pierohandsome: This is a big heresy, how can a wife acted in such a way without informing her husband. Remember when you get married, you have to carry your partner along in whatsoever you do. Even if your husband ask you not to sow the money you have to obey him and pray for God to open his eyes to see the reasons why you have to sow the seed. Obedience is better than sacrifice. How do you think that God will accept such a gift that was done in such a crooked way. They might even have needs in the family yet she sow seed without informing her head. She dishonoured her head. 7 Likes |

Religion / Re: Is The Deeper Life Bible Church A Cult ? by timseye: 2:31pm On Dec 16, 2017 |
Does that matter! He asked a question and it's good for him and every other readers for us as deeper life members to address his question with love. Who says an anti Christ can't be converted. Apostle Paul was once an anti Christ and was saved by grace. If he attended deeper life for 20 years and he was never initiated, not seen any of his leaders with any fetish stuff and he's here asking this type of question I think he needs sincere and honest answers couple with prayers. 1 Like |

I think OP fall into the category of children born in deeper life that attends deeper because of their parents. Deeper life is not cult... And for those that believe that God can't bless you if you don't pay tithe please don't being gullible given to the poor has more rewards than paying tithe. I have tried the two and I can tell you for a fact. The problem is that so many of us find it difficult to change and we believe that the little success we have is a product of our tithe or the various seed that we sow. Why can't you try and give to people I mean give to people that you are not expecting anything back from them and see how God will bless you. 1 Like |

frosbel2: I am a member, I was born a deeper life I have left my parents for the past 18 years when I left secondary school. I left Nigeria 3 years a go and I am still proud to be a member of deeper life. Though the church is not perfect but unless we want to start deceiving ourselves the church still remains one of the churches in Nigeria where you can hear sound word of God. About what you said about tithe it's a fallacy. Nobody knows when you pay tithe in deeper life, even the district pastors don't know who pays and who don't pay because we don't put our names when we give and I have never experienced or heard that someone was threatened with hell fire for not paying tithe. In fact I was a worker before I left Nigeria and I stopped paying tithe at some point and started giving my money to help members in the church even when I got to the UK until like three months ago when a message on tithe was preached not that I agree with tithing but because the preacher said we pay rent from it and we do have refreshment after the service every Sunday and if I do eat from the refreshment what stopped me from contributing towards it. For the ladies in the church I think you are not right with this as well. I will agree that some of the youths go wayward because they are only attending deeper life because there parents but they don't have personal conviction on their own so when many of them get to higher institution they see it a freedom to live their life the way it pleases them. But hey.. for those that have personal conviction, that are not attending because of their parents you can't see these set of people being derailed from what they have heard. Though some of still have their adamic nature which might not necessarily be sleeping with men around as you claimed. One of the things I am not happy with as a member is why we own school our members can't attend and why they allowed members to contribute towards the school they won't be able to attend. I see that as a fraud and I am still waiting for the day I would be opportune to ask the G S directly as to what motivated him to join this league as the group pastors too don't have the answer to it. Also I can agree that some district pastors could be some how sometimes as most of them usually like to play safe especially when they don't know the stand of the G S about a particular issue irrespective of the impact of the outcome on their members. But sometimes when I look at their commitment I mean the pastors despite not being paid salary not even an allowance I can't but to respect them. Though they have their flaws as I said earlier. Please stop painting deeper life bad.. it's a good church and I know you know that as well. Thanks and God bless you. 8 Likes |
