Politics / Re: Where Is The APC Restructuring Committee Report? by TMemos: 6:46am On Apr 08, 2019
Generalnomercy:
Anybody believing that APC will accept restructuring Nigeria is like believing that Amaechi can become a Reverend father now.

APC has only one agenda, it is called ISLAMIZATION. Anything less that that is not APCs agenda.

I pity people who are believing that APC will make their lives better.

Let's not assume the worst.

Let's clamour for the report since it affects our lives.

Your voice is important

The truth is that Nigeria cannot make progress without these recommendations.

Let's ask: where is the APC Restructuring Report?

For example, insecurity is growing. We need state police.
Politics / Where Is The APC Restructuring Committee Report? by TMemos: 6:16am On Apr 08, 2019
The report was presented in January 2018. Well over a year ago.

The Committee was headed by Kaduna state governor, El Rufai.

They came up with the following useful recommendations:

“These items are; creation of states, merger of states, delegation principle, fiscal federalism, devolution of power and resources between state, federal and local governments, federating units, form of government, independent candidacy, land tenure system, local government autonomy ,power sharing and rotation, resource control, types of legislature, demand for affirmation for vulnerable groups;people with disabilities, women and youth, ministerial appointment, citizenship, state constitution, community participation, minimum wage, governance, judiciary, state re-alignment and border adjustment, circular status of the federation; and referendum"

On one hand, you say you don't need any national position because you can do your business alone.

On another hand, you're complaining of marginalisation and ridicule

Are you so confused?

Oh...I wish this is made to materialize. ..

Yes.

Nigerians deserve the best. The quality and passion of ministers are very important to deliver progress to the people.

All government agencies and civil servants report to one minister or the other.

We need to get people with creative ideas to drive the government for the next 4 years.

It will benefit everybody

And certainly na Afonjas go full the list closely followed by Onye Igbo.

Las las Igboid go carry 50%

Candidates will be chosen from each state but at least we'll be sure of getting the best from each state with specific targets for everybody

This would be ideal, but would work against Buhari as he wouldn't be able to pack the final list with relatives and towns people!

You're so funny grin

Ministers are usually chosen from each state of the federation.

The owners would have salvaged the remaining ones and let the loss adjusters determine how much the insurance would pay, if the goods were insured.

Under what type of insurance policy are you going to cover this kind of loss from people's misconduct?

Public misconduct everywhere!!!!

It's a shame. Yet youths were bragging about getting free drinks.

They seem not to know the difference between right and wrong anymore. It's a scary situation.

How do you know what she would have done if she were there?

Does it mean there is no hope for this country?

Does it mean this is how adults would swoop on drinks at accident scenes in developed countries?

Those could not have been free drinks. They belonged to someone/some people.

And before you say insurance, it usually doesn't cover 100% of the value of what you're insuring. Neither does it cover looting or mob action.

Nigerians are so greedy. They don't even care about the losses being incurred by the company and truck owner. All they care about is stuffing their bellies with the fruits of other people's sweat. After they will complain about corruption and how useless the government is, forgetting that the Nigerian government is a reflection of it's electorate.

Hopeless leeches.

The society has gone so low to the extent that some ignorant people will still come for you on this thread.

They just can't understand your simple point.

The country is in trouble.

They will say all sorts to you. People who don't understand how insurance works.

Isn't it even so degrading and disgraceful that able bodied adults go to scavenge at the scene of accidents?

Stealing from the living, wounded and even the dead.

Anyway, I'm not surprised. Some youths even sell their own organs.

Politics / How President Buhari Should Choose His Ministers by TMemos: 9:21pm On Mar 28, 2019
1. Expectations are high for Buhari's second term. He must move Nigeria to the Next Level.

2. Nigerians are anxiously waiting for a positive change. People are hungry and tired.

3. One of the ways to get it right and revamp Nigeria's weak infrastructure in creative ways is by getting the appointment of his ministers right.

4 Buhari should appoint pure and tested technocrats as ministers, not politicians who will be distracted and be involved in political fights most of the time.

5. Buhari should do it in a novel way: interested persons should apply (within and outside the country) to be considered as ministers. Existing ministers who meet the criteria should be free to apply.

6. A professional firm like PriceWaterhouse or KPMG should coordinate the interview. These firms will happily do it for free.

7. Each prospective minister should apply for specific ministries and should be grilled on what he will do in office.

8. Each of them should be given specific targets to meet and their performance should be appraised every six months.

9. The list of successful candidates should then be sent to the Senate for confirmation, with their portfolios attached.

10. This way, Buhari would assemble a brilliant set of performers who would indeed take Nigeria to the Next Level.

Saraki is a goner. cool

We said so before the elections but some people won't listen.

He will lose his senatorial seat and PDP will also lose the governorship. cheesy

He should be ready to fully answer to all his pending cases without the cover of the Senate.

Lesson: nothing lasts forever. Don't be desperate for anything. He could have won his second term if he had been patient.

Politics / Re: Dino Melaye: Universities, Learn From INEC On Inconclusive Results by TMemos: 8:05am On Mar 25, 2019
Nonsense.

He turned the number of votes to number of students.

This doesn't make sense.

An election is inconclusive is the number of cancelled votes is more than the difference between the votes of thr first and second candidates. Does this not make sense? This is what is in the electoral act and has been practiced in Nigeria for years.

It's different from the number of students turning up for an exam. Or the number or candidates for an election turning up for an election. His analogy is very wrong.

Yet he's being hailed.

Breaking: "Winners Chapel Constructing 1000 Mega Watts Gas Power Plant In Ota"

VOC has obtained exclusive reports from Bishop Oyedepo's Canaancity project which reveals that Bishop David Oyedepo led winners chapel is planning to construct 1000MW project in canaancity Ota which would give 24/7 hours elecrtricity to the 15,000 housing unit estate, the church's air strip, faith theatre and covenant university's other campus.

It would be noted that winners chapel already runs a 15MW plant which powers the church campus and covenant university almost without any interruption.. VOC can reliably confirm that members are already relocating to the church estate at canaancity. However, we admit that VOC as at the time of this report does not have the entirety of the church's plan for the construction of power plants. We however would get in touch with church officials and give our readers a comprehensive report.

They are constructing

They are planning to construct

Issokay

VOC does not have the entirety of the church's plan. Yet you rushed to break the news of a project which will cost about $1billion!!! The capacity is also more than the listed users can use.

So many gaps in the report.

Then, who is VOC?
