TruthSeeker1:
First of all, I'll need to know the kind of student you are and how well you are currently faring academically. Think about the following questions carefully and answer them sincerely: 1. On a scale of 1–10, what would you honestly grade yourself in terms of your academic performance (10 being the highest)? 2. Have you written UTME before? If yes, what was your score? 3. How much time do you generally spend studying and how frequently do you study? 4. How do you study? For instance, when you study, do you usually try to "cram" what you read or do you try to understand it as much as possible? 5. What subjects do you consider yourself to be good at and which ones give you tough time? The answers you supply to these questions (and a few more I may ask later) will help me know the best way to help you. i t 1) scale 7 2)no 3)i don't really have a particular time it depends on how determined I am that day 4)i try to understand as much as possible, sometimes when I read I explain it to my sis.. lol though she's 7 years old but i understand more when I explain it to someone 5)chemistry gives me tough time, biology and physics are good |

Please you will have to make reading your thing. Healthcare courses are no walk-in-the-park. You will need to read and research on your own in college or university. Best of luck thanks so much |

humilitypays: Before you can study medicine in the US, you must finish a science course like Biology, etc, then enrol for medicine. The years is very long and financially demanding too.
My honest advice would be for you to go for Nursing (BSN) and then work towards registering as an RN in the US or start from UK which is easier because you wouldn't need to seat for NCLEX.
As for income, medical doctors earn more, but your income abroad as a professional is also dependent on the number of hours per say you are willing to work. thank u so much,,as for nursing income as far as comfortable buying what I want and eating what I want |

Dremeke: first of all that you are average doesn't mean you can't do medicine. I tell people that the most difficult aspect of med school is in getting in. Not getting out You seem like someone from a wealthy background so you have some options. If you are passionate about medicine. Then go for it. But if you're not then don't bother because the long years and the input it requires will wear you out. You can study medicine in Nigeria and go for USMLE if you want to practice in the US. But the exam hard gan. As for nurse practitioner you can only get the degree in the US as it's not recognized anywhere else that I know of. Nursing is also good. You can definitely live well off with a career in nursing. But as for the most LUCRATIVE? Medicine is more both home and abroad. thanks so much I've always wanted to study medicine but I'll look into nursing (nurse practitioner to be precise cuz in USA a nurse practitioner can literally do all a doctor can do except surgery |

Zeeknow3245: Nursing definitely. You can't earn up to a doc. You go to US with your Nursing degree but for Medicine some states require you starting over again with MD or DO yea, thanks I've been considering nursing also |

EVILFOREST:
My dear, PLEASE, try and write eligibly next time. The whole matter depends on what you want. IF you need a course that can get you out of Nigeria quickly, that course is NURSING. In terms of Pay, MEDICINE is one of the highest in the United States. In Fact, Medical Doctors earn higher than the United States President. Nursing pays well too. But the Road to Medical Climax in the United States is very very very Rigorous but when clinched it's usually BLOOD MONEY. thanks so much,i think I'll consider nursing cuz am also considering work-life balance |
