Crime / Re: 63 Fulani People Killed In Kebbi - Bulama Bukarti by Toluobaeko11: 1:10pm On Aug 20, 2020
Hmmmm! I served in Kebbi state, Kanya village in Danko/Wasagu LG, and it's part of the Zuru emirate. The people are the most peaceful, and most accommodating I've ever met. The largest concentration of Christians in Kebbi state are in this emirate.
I won't find it as a surprise if the Fulanis are looking for excuse to shed blood in this area. I really pray Almighty God delivers these people from the bloodthirsty Fulani people. The Zuru people(Dakankari) are the nicest people I've ever met in my life, and I'll always see the place as my second home. May God save them.

It's simply due to high levels exposure to people from other faiths.
In certain areas of Yorubaland that are most homogeneous, like some places in ondo state, they could be as bigoted as their igbo counterparts.
Bigoted ko, magot ni! I'm a native of Akure, Ondo-State. Although we Christians dominates this place, but I've never have any hatred for my fellow Yoruba just because he/she is a Muslim, and by the way, my best friend is a Muslim, and we once live together in a room without disturbing ourselves. He talk since to my brain any day I decided not to go to church and vice versa.
Mind you, I don't preach Christianity to him, and he doesn't preach Islam to me, we respect ourselves. In conclusion, I see my Yoruba people as Yoruba only, I don't care about religion, because it's personal, less I forget, we also have traditional worshipers in my street, and I love them too.

A person who believe that a country like Brazil have a official African language is ridiculous. Brazil is not a African country to have a official African language. Brazil is a former Portuguese colony. The only second official language in Brazil is indigenous language. Nigerians don't know translate Portuguese. Patrimônio cultural (Portuguese) is cultural patrimony. Don't official language.

Brazil adopted Yoruba as their second official language, and it was announced by the minister of culture Dr Sergio Sa Leitao. You may know about Brazil, but you can't know our Yoruba than we Yoruba. Google is there if your still doubting

That Komodo dragon,is it capable of killing an adult human? Also, those wild dogs, can they be mixed with our domestic Alsatian dogs at home(like making a wild dog and a domestic dog have sex)to produce more aggressive and powerful puppies for dog-lovers?
Lol! Making them have sex? Well, anything is possible sha. But those wild dogs, hmm! They'll have sex with the dog and killed it for food, double gain!
The wild dogs are assassins, they have a killer instinct. They do even eat their prey without killing it, that is they eat it while it's alive. I don't think it's advisable to crossbreed domestic dogs with these ones oo.

I'm an English teacher in a private secondary school. Well..I'm learning laundry right now. Teaching is a prestigious profession, but as far as I'm concerned, teachers in privates school in this country are slaves(including me). Well...I've broken the chain right now, I must also be an employer of labour before the end of this year.

We take life too serious in Africa. I can't come and go and kill myself oo. Vacations is my number one priority. Less I forget, I'll branch at the great Victoria Waterfalls in Zambia. My future wife will enjoy vacations oo.

How God created animals including human being to kill each other for feeding still remain a mystery to me. If truly God instruct human to eat animals as claimed in the Bible. Who instruct other endangered animals to kill others ? It was not mentioned in any of the religious book I have read. If u enter lion den as human forget it food don come. If u enter inside river where there are crocodile, forget it you're as good as other prey to them.
Lol! Have you read the animal bible? It's in their bible to eat themselves. So far you're an animal( including human), it's either you eat or be eaten, it's survival of the fittest. It's the law of nature, we animals must feed on ourselves for us to survive.

Science/Technology / Re: Are Anacondas As Dangerous As Shown In The Movie "Anaconda?" (Photos) by Toluobaeko11: 12:12pm On Jul 08, 2020
Anacondas are not as dangerous as portrayed in the movies. It's very dangerous when it attacked unaware. You can even use your hand to carry a big one, but you'll trace its head from the tail till you get to its head because it response to stimuli is extremely slow, and no matter how big it is, if you successfully grab its head, it can't do anything again (don't try this though).
One things people don't understand is that, the bigger the snake the easier to kill it, I fear smaller snakes more. With a well filled cutlass, you'll defeat an anaconda, but you have to have courage sha, just make sure you give it a wound first, it'll be weak to fight.
*NOTE* NEVER FIGHT AN ANACONDA INSIDE THE WATER, IF YOU DO, JUST BE READY TO SAY YOUR GOODBYE FOREVER!!!!

I'm having a full native name 100% and I love it. My children will have a full 100% native name. No name can beat the likes of Adediwura, Oluwasunmisola, Adeife, Adesewa, Oyindamola, Kanyinsola, Adelanke, Adebusola, Wuraola, Ewatomi, etc. I'm a proud Yoruba boy, and I'm so proud of the language, culture, heritage. Will white men from Croatia, Belgium, Poland, Australia, etc name their Children African names?
So....natives name all the way, it's a trend in my family, both home and abroad.

I wonder why the antelopes and other bush animals when I de see for nairaland de look different from the ones when I de see for National Geography. The ones for Nigeria de look somehow, like some fake version of bush meat, the colour de different from the ones when I de see on TV.

NAT GEO WILD always focus on animals in eastern and southern African countries, because 70% of Africa's wild animals are in these places. We have our own species here, like west African elephants, the rain forests monkeys and baboons, the bush buffaloes, etc, but you'll never see any documentary in it.
Even here in Ondo state, Elephants, gorillas, Buffaloes, fox( I came in contact with one in the bush), and many others wild animals are still roaming in the deep bush, and no one cares to make a documentary about then.

Religion / Re: Why Do We Need To Speak/pray In Tongues? by Toluobaeko11: 11:23am On May 24, 2020
To get the answer, we must know the Genesis of speaking in tongues. God gave the Apostles holy spirit to speak in tongues(foreign languages) during the Pentecost, so that people from other lands can hear what they're saying in their local languages, and that's all.
But nowadays, a lot of people are deceiving themselves by speaking jargons, some even says they're speaking in tongues so that devil can't hear them. Lol! If you like, twist your tongues, devil will hear you clearly if he wants to.
The apostles spoke in tongues in languages people understood, I don't know where these people got their own.

NYSC / Re: My NYSC Hookup Experience... by Toluobaeko11: 8:47am On May 21, 2020
[quote author=Chuky7 post=89744304]I really don't know about the generalization that ladies who go for NYSC are cheaters. But I do know things go down. I think serving is just an opportunity to let off steam especially with certain factor like moving to another state. You will likely come across various people. They are cases where even your oga at your PPA will be shooting shot and you may be in a relationship but temptation sets in.

Some cases can also be like where you are the one doing the chasing... I have seen cases where you are posted to a school only to start going after your female student as a guy.

My own experience goes like this... During my time I served somewhere up North. Well to keep it short I knacked a lot at lodge that year... Girls in neighboring communities O, other corp members, there was also a time I had a short fling with the lady daughter that cooked for some of us at our PPA.

Well like I said things dey happen, it's not necessary a one way thing.. What were your own experience like?

[/corper
On a serious note, NYSC opened my eyes to a lot of things. I served in the north, and I really learnt that men can still hold themselves for long than ladies. NYSC made me realized that majority of ladies( not all) just made mouth. We have male and female lodge inside our school, and it's a village. I was almost raped by some female corp members on countless occasions, you can't just imaging how this ladies are begging for sex directly and indirectly. I just thank God I stood my ground all through. Also the pressures the male corp members are giving the females is unbearable as well.
On a serious note, I'm just so scared, I'm praying God should give me maximum strength to trust my fiancee when she'll be going for her NYSC. This is not about trust issues, I can never forget what I passed through.
On a concluding part, it can only take God Almighty grace for you not to be spoiled during NYSC. I really thank God for my life.

foxxi4real:
All the people who speak a dialect of the Yoruba language are Yorubas, their magratory pattern is another kettle of fish. Awori, Ijebu, Apoi, Ilaje, Ikale are all Yorubas because they speak Yoruba language.

Ilaje migrated from Ife
Ikale mrgrated from Ile-Ife, Ilaje and Bini
Apoi migrated from Ile-Ife to Bayelsa and then back to Ondo (on the return journey to Ile-Ife, they got lost and settled in present day Ondo State)
Ijebu migrated from Waddai (Egypt/Sudan)
Egba migrated from Benin Republic (Ketu)
Akure from Benin
Itsekiri from Ijebu (although they have decided to keep their own unique Itsekiri identity)

The original people that carry the real Yoruba title are people of Ile-Ife, Oyo, Osogbo, Ogbomosho, Offa, original Inhabitants of Ilorin, the vicinities of these latter towns.

Ogu (Egun) people are not Yoruba

Please! Never in your life says Akure migrated from Benin again. It's such a big insult to us to say we the people of Akure migrated from Benin.
Akure migrated from Ile-Ife, and the founder is the grandson of Oduduwa, and I'm a direct descendant. I can charge you to court with this because I don't joke with my history. There was a time the relationship between Akure and Benin was very strong. BUT IT'S SUCH A BIG INSULT SAYING AKURE IS FROM BENIN, I'M FROM AKURE, AND MY ANCESTORS ARE FROM ILE-IFE, and not from Ile-ibinu.

Health / Re: Coronavirus: When Will It End, Will Things Ever Get Back To Normal? by Toluobaeko11: 11:18am On Apr 15, 2020
It will end when massive tests are done for months. It will end when people stop saying it's a lie, and do what's necessary now. The fact is that we're hungry, but most of the world is hungry right now, India, Bangladesh, Thailand, and many African countries are all hungry. It's better to be hungry for a month or 2 than to be like this for countless of months to come.
Our Government should act fast in making life easy for citizens. in conclusion, if we continue like this (both the government, and people saying it's a lie), this is just the beginning of the end for us, I mean all of all. An adage in Yoruba says, 'Orun n ya bo, ki n se oro enikan', meaning, if the sky is falling, it's not about one person, but it'll affect everyone.

I'm having a lot of Muslims as friends, we've never argued on religion matters. Go to the Oba market in Akure, around ori eguru beside elemo palace, most of the old women there are traditional worshipers, we do buy food from them without suspecting them.
For what reasons I will hate a person practicing Islam just because I'm a Christian? If you guys want to disunite Yoruba, abeg use another thing, not religion.

Toluobaeko11 your comment was tribal.

Niggmatic tribalism is important its not for "lowlifers", like I told someone on NL some weeks ago "if people aren't tribal, people from other tribes will take what's meant to go to them. for example, the Ijaws have oil but due to the lack of tribalism from the Ijaws, people from other tribes own majority of the oil wells while the Ijaws get commissions..."

note there is economic tribalism, social tribalism e.t.c..

tribalism that leads to violence and hatred is bad.
tribalism that protects economic interests of a tribe or ethnic nation is very important.

Well! I'm sorry if my comment was tribal, I was just pained with their actions. I don't support tribalism as well. AGAPE
